I also bought a Japan Home kalita dripper a year ago. It was my first try at pour over coffee. I still use it today even if I have a V60 because I get tastier decaf coffee when using the Japan Home Kalita.
I’ve been thinking about buying the Hario Pegasus filters to try them out. Right now I’m using the Cafec filters and have been struggling getting the results I want
@@bradsyoutube why is that? Actually im about to do a comparison of the pegasus and cafec trapezoid filters. But im curious why is it a struggle to get the results you want?
Pegasus has been solid for me. No stalling. 115 clicks on kingrinder k6. Two pours only if you want high acitity. 3-4 pours for more sweetness. 93c light roast coffee
@@johnnyr-518 yes basically 115 clicks on the k6 is a bit on the coarser side of things so you really wont stall at this grind size :) good job on your recipe! I should try it next time :)
@@darylbuenocoffee thank you. I have no doubt you'll be able to make it better. If you have any suggestions or future recipes you find out, let us know as well. Love your videos. Very high quality.
I'm kinda raising my eyebrows on this. See, you tasted the coffee and said it was fruity (judging by your facial expression I'd say you didn't like it). After reading the packaging all of a sudden it's "very clear passion fruit". If it was very clear, why didn't you catch it before reading the packaging? What it says on the packaging are merely flavor "notes", i.e., what it _kinda_ tastes like. It's a means to describe flavors that people could reference to. It's NOT the actual flavors so it' can't be "very clearly [insert flavor].

I just got a Pegasus today. I like it so far. Nice video.
Thank you!!
Sir Daryl, i think it would be nice if difluid and sifter were included as a control to measure the difference
The R2 extract results doesnt necessarily dictate the taste and relative quality of the coffee that's why i didn't use it.

cool! Would also be interesting to see a V60 vs Kalita vs Orea for fun!
@@Java_CM this is a very biased test hahaha!!! But yes we can do this.
Have you tried to grind a little finer on the pegasus?
@@angellingatjr1805 yes i have and i didnt experience any clogging or stalling whatsoever
Just curious, what’s your favorite coffee now?
