Stan, great work. We can work on your design while we are waiting for Tommy Madux to perfect his version. I believe the reason that you are having lifting issues that you have made the bottom of the assembly flat and semi-rigid by adhering the vinyl to peg board. The issue is that as you are pressurizing it, the portion that is not supporting weight is flexing up enough to allow air to escape. The portion contacting the floor should be a non- stretch material (like your vinyl), but it should lift the steel plate and be allowed to follow the contour of the floor a bit more. Also. It is lifting the blower end more than the far end which would indicate that the holes could be too large. I would start with holes that are smaller and tune it by sizing them up. Great start. I hope to see more! Soon! Have a great Thanksgiving. Also, vinyl coated canvas would be much more durable.
