There's a difference between an airboard and a hovercraft. An airboard is something that slides on something filled with air. Hovering means absolutely nothing is touching the ground.

Nothing more or less than a good blower, in good shape and properly tuned, that was started and warmed up before the video started. My own *always* starts on the first pull after it's warmed up.

I think how to make a REAL hovercraft is to acquire a twin-turbine engine. And some other stuff to make it fly.

They just proving there is a kid in all of us. I was powering a three foot diameter air cushion more than 30 years ago with a back pack blower, Lots of fun on a flat surface.
That's basically a hover board right there just stand on it and push with your feet and *BOOM* you got your self a hover board

+That One Friend You will become more off balance, causing you to go in a direction, depending on the side on which you place the leaf blower. You will not go up, because the way it works is that it goes upwards, because of the force the air executes on the ground. This will mean you will first go up a little higher, and then drop a little lower, until after less then halve a second you have a balance, which wont increase or decrease with the amount of leafblowers you use. It will however help if you are heavier then the board can handle. Seeing that you are a teenage girl, this probably isn't the case ;-)

***** (professionally built) hovercrafts are designed to go on land and water, that's one of the things that make it unique, it's only a matter of seeing if THIS design can go on water, and yes, it is harder to make a hovercraft go on water

that would be electric(power cord or heavy 6volt/12volt batteries
this would prevent the lift(unfortunately)
Post Edit: Well the power cord wouldnt prevent lift, and you would have great lift(but only as long a range as your extension/power cord)

+Yuri Grigsby Apparantly, it works even better on water, but it doesnt go in any direction by itself, and you need somewhere to push of from. This is usually not often the case on water. If you however, have someone to push you, and you are not affraid to be stuck in the middle of a pool, go for it!
