Excellent! NEVER heard the Beatitudes as a sermon on Righteousness by Faith, but it so makes sense now. Step-by-step, first recognizing that I am spiritually poor and moving on from there.
YESS! Ty and David! My wife and I were at the Arise Intensive in Chattanooga with you guys, and I can say that I never get tired of hearing my two brothers talk about God. I’m currently preaching through the Beatitudes at my church. This Sabbath we will be on the 5, Blessed are the Merciful. You guys have given me some great insights to think about, and I will definitely be including them in this Sabbath’s sermon. Love You guys, my wife says Hi!!
The words of revelation 3:14 etc. make it clear that it's easy for me to fall outside this group of blessed people. By nature I feel full, all the while being empty. It is the beam in my eye. Looking for the speck in someone else's eye. Building on the sand is living a life clinging to my fullness.
I guess that meekness expresses itself upward as well: without anything to offer to God, we can't say "I possess so many merits that I have acquired along the way, that now I am entitled to salvation so you can't refuse to accept me in your kingdom..."
Excellent! I would humbly like to suggest one thing: could the pastors slow down how quickly they speak because it becomes rather intense and hard to absorb coming at you at such speed. I would appreciate that very much. Having said that, I love the things they're sharing.
I’m aware that the text actually refers to just “poverty,” “not spiritual poverty.” This seems very conveniently translated so that western audiences who are outwardly rich might not be uncomfortable with the actual text. Wondering what you might think about that?
Where ever you are in the beautitudes we are to examine ourselves & the price Jesus has paid for us. "Heaven is cheap enough". All glory to Christ. It is about our hearts toward others. "God is Love".."Who do you say I am?" Christ asks. May we reflect only His image & encourage those around us to keep learning Who He is by living as He, His example given & He made a way for us & beckons. All have opportunity. Rich & poor as the world sees it, but Christ sees the heart...keep reaching hearts for our Redeemer no matter what you see or think. The LORD says "My thoughts are not...neither My ways .." can look that scripture up Isaiah 55:8-9. Where ever you are in the beautitudes we are to examie ourselves & the price Jesus has paid for us. "Heaven is cheap enough". All glory to Christ. It is about our hearts toward others. "God is Love".."Who do you say I am?" Christ asks..May we reflect only His image & encourage those around us to keep learning & knowing Who He is by living as He gave His example & made a way for us. All have opportunity. Rich & poor as the world sees it, but Christ sees the heart...keep reaching hearts for our Redeemer no matter what you see or think. The LORD says "My thoughts are ... My ways are .." can look that scripture up. May Christ work in us & through us as a living witness bearing testimony & His lovely image with compassion & mercy & comfort given for every person God created. Each one can have victory as Christ freely gives - rich & poor as the world sees can have Christ Jesus their Savior. He transforms the willing heart. Amen. I am appreciating your question ..Hope is present!
poor in spirit. this is a call for everybody, not just for the marginalized, the disenfranchised, the materially poor, but also the privileged, the success stories, the elite. every one becomes eventually bankrupt. god created everyone in his image and likeness. that is why jesus said heaven is for children. but the world around us is corrupting, everyone gets contaminated eventually a leaven given time leavens the whole lump of dough.

I'll never look at the Beatitudes the same! Thank you Pastors.
David Asserick did an excellent job tying the beatitudes together!!!…they are not separated but one person is suppose to posses them all
May God protect these two.
Incredible insight and life changing perspectives.
Goosebumps!!! Absolutely blessed by this breakdown of the beatitudes and love the spotlight on Righteousness by faith through it all!! Amen!!!
Bless you Both! Thank you ! For sharing your love for Jesus !
Thank you brothers for this spiritual tsunami into the beautitudes. You have lifted me into heavenly places today 💖
We are all wretched and in that discovery we find ourselves at the foot of the cross, how beautiful are the feet of those who bring us the good news.

Thank you both for sharing so much knowledge to all who need to hear it so badly, as i do myself. God Bless. xx

Please what's the Latin word for "to occur only once" as said by Pastor Asscherick?
Hapax legomenon
It's greek, not latin
