Richtig cooles Video!! Freue mich auch besonders darüber, dass du mit Forest Pack arbeitest! Habe nur immer Schwierigkeiten mit den ganzen Anpassungen.. Besonders, wenn man viele externe Bibliotheken nutzt wie Maxtree kommt es mir so vor, als müsste man einfach SO viel anpassen :( 50 verschiedene Pflanzen, Bäume und Gräser aus verschiedenen Quellen und dann muss hinterher noch alles gut zusammen aussehen :D
Das stimmt, deshalb versuche ich es immer so einfach wie möglich zu halten. Shader bestehen lediglich meistens aus Diffuse, Normal und ggf. Opacity Map. Farbvariationen kann man über ForestPack direkt machen, in der neusten Version wird meine ich auch VRayMultiSubTex unterstützt. Ansonsten gibts ja noch jede Menge Randomisierungsmöglichkeiten im Forestpack Object. Also versuche alles simpel zu halten, sonst wächst es einem schnell über den Kopf :-) Forestpack ist ein massives Plugin mit 1000den verschiedenen Optionen, ich hab aber das Gefühl das für 90% der Use-Cases 10% der möglichen Funktionen und Features ausreichen.
Super nice man! I would love to see a tutorial on getting assets like grass and weeds from Megascans to blow in the wind. I can't seem to find any content on that. It would be great for my scenes to feel less static.
You can actually animate your scatter objects and then in the forestpack object take this animation with random offset. This is good enough for some generic wind effects. There are also some advanced methods for more complicated effects such as wind moving through your grass in waves and so on, I will see if can make some tutorial about this in the future :) Thx for your feedback!

I hope its not much to ask..
But there are few effects i've been struggling to find tutorials for
1- how do you add decals or text on glossy paint or bumpy surfaces ?
2- how do you add rain droplets on surfaces like glass ?
3- and finally how do you make a clear sunny exterior scene into rainy reflective one ?
Awesome ideas, especially that with the rain droplets, will put it on my list.
can we do same, with the free version of FP?
