    This entire special is absolutely amazing! Featuring 5 first class singers and an Excellent children's choir. Wish the person who posted this video would upload the entire special, not just the five selected performances that we have the privilege to see.

    You honour Robert Burns, Scotland and the world’s 18th century Bard through the love you feel for his verse and this one in particular. Lifetime’s lasting friendship comes only to a few. You truly are Robert’s friend.

    Scots should remember their history: Old acquaintances should not be forgot. History should be brought to mind. The peoples of Strath- Clyde were part of the ancient British known as Welsh. William Wallace was probably of this bloodline (Walsh). The kingdom of Strath Clyde, Galloway are part of the Cymric that extended over the whole island from before the Romans till 11th century. The Picts were considered separate. Check it out.

      You prepared for a hard border up there? Or will you cherry pick what you want and still expect to have freedom of movement across the border for work etc?

    • @claidheamdanns
      @claidheamdanns 2 года назад

      @@xr6lad who’s asking for a wall? One can have a free, sovereign government and still work with those on the other side of the border. We don’t all need to be under one ruler in order to behave as human beings and cooperate with one another.

    were the highlanders the ones who wore those kilts

    • @EquineRose-Rosie-
      @EquineRose-Rosie- 8 лет назад +1

      Kilts were worn by all Scots in the UK before the Brits took over, so they weren't limited to the Highlands ^-^

    • @BoxoMcFoxo
      @BoxoMcFoxo 8 лет назад +5

      actually before the Acts of Union kilts were only worn by the Highland clans, the kilt as a national symbol of Scotland is a more recent invention

    • @lizgraham9986
      @lizgraham9986 6 лет назад +1

      That's actually a modern kilt.
      It's different from the one the highlanders wore, more like the kilt in Braveheart.

    about the 20-ith video of some random english folks raping Scottish.. lol. Is there a single Scottish version out there of this Scottish poem?! >.<
    Englishmen attempting to speak Scottish, sounds (even to me who's from Sweden) like Americans attempting to speak English. Though, the guy in the video comes close-ish. Bah.

      The group Celtic Thunder is made up of Irish people. So, no Englishmen.
