just stumbled upon this tutorial. It's amazing to see how our rulers work in so many different ways. When I first got interested in the pinwheel block the "teacher" was selling a "special" ruler for squaring up the block. I did find a square up ruler I could just as easily use already in my supplies. Then, after seeing this video I realized I have the same ruler you used to square up also. We all need to learn all the uses of our rulers and know they're not just for measuring the length of the fabric and cutting.
Tysm! I just got a sewing machine yesterday and decided to tackle a huge project that I came up with my mom for realizing I have no idea. This was the most informative three minutes of my youtube life. Will definitely check out your site.
Thank you for excellent tutorial. Not everyone takes the time to answer questions in the comments. So I really appreciated your answering the inquiry from Mary below as I, too, want to make 10" blocks.
I have just finished putting pin wheel blocks together. The method for putting them together was certainly not like yours. I wish I had seen your method first, I would have finished the baby quilt in half the time. Your method was great, thank you for sharing.
You explained that better in 3 min than anyone else did in 20 min or more. I love how you record and then edit with a voice over. Perfection!
Right? All the others just talk too much! Great job!
Thank you for this! I have fabric I want to make a quilt of, this video makes the pinwheel design look easy.
Thank you for a Beautiful video. Great idea. God bless you 🙏🙏

Oh! 😱 Neither of your website links seems to be working rn. Do you need to update the links on your “About” section on youtube with the current links?
Thank you!
Yes! I’m sorry I’m trying to change it.

What size blocks would you use to end up with a 10" pinwheel block
Hi Mary, I would cut 6" squares to make the half square triangles then square it up to 5 1/2". This way you would end up with the 10" finished block.
Thank you Kim! I'll try that.
Mary Theriault .
@@lilypatchquilts I just ran a test block on this. Started with 6" squares. Ended with a 6" block.
