Thank you!
So we don't need to buy the special bags from Amazon. Maybe daylight through the window should be good? Do I need heat mat?
I did not use a heating mat and only have the cuttings under led lights. I had bread bag storage bags so that’s what I used.
Which state you’re in? Where to get this plant? TY for yr information.
I’m in California zone 10b. I’m not sure where you can get the plant. Check with your local nursery. My friend gave me some rooted cuttings she had.
The fig pop method works great. Its best not to have any lights on it yet, to not encourage leaf growth. You need root growth prior to getting leaf growth.
Thanks for the tip!
I believe this is only partially correct, you don't want them in the full sun while doing this but you do want them to have a little bit of light.
@@realMystaI have them under my led light. I turn the light off at night.
@@realMysta you dont want to induce branching. You need roots to support the vegetative growth. Im not saying its a definite death sentence, but want to have a better chance of survival. I have killed my fair share of cuttings
Very pretty quilt Kim!
Thank you!
Wow! Quick and precise!!
Thank you!
Very helpful thank you
Thank you glad you enjoyed it!
Tysm! I just got a sewing machine yesterday and decided to tackle a huge project that I came up with my mom for realizing I have no idea. This was the most informative three minutes of my youtube life. Will definitely check out your site.
Oh! 😱 Neither of your website links seems to be working rn. Do you need to update the links on your “About” section on youtube with the current links?
Thank you!
Yes! I’m sorry I’m trying to change it.
Thank you for this! I have fabric I want to make a quilt of, this video makes the pinwheel design look easy.
Great
Genius
Thank you!
Joined watching and learning.
Thanks! What size is the finished pinwheel block suppose to be?
Thank you for a Beautiful video. Great idea. God bless you 🙏🙏
Thank you!
It looks larger then 5inch
Hi Charlotte, This block is 5”.
Can we see it in a quilt thank you
I will try and do a video with a finished quilt.
Sooo simple!
Please share the block measure ment thanks
This is a 5” charm square, finish at 4”.
Beautiful loved this design
I would like to see a finished quilt with this pattern THANK YOU
I will try and get a quilt finished.
I have just finished putting pin wheel blocks together. The method for putting them together was certainly not like yours. I wish I had seen your method first, I would have finished the baby quilt in half the time. Your method was great, thank you for sharing.
You’re welcome!
Thank you!
How to sew together
To fast for me my friend, could you do one a bit slower for us beginners over 70 thank you.
I'll try and upload a new one. You can also slow the speed down when watching in this video's setting.

Hello, how are you doing my friend?
Thank you for the info. Great block. Sandra B.
You explained that better in 3 min than anyone else did in 20 min or more. I love how you record and then edit with a voice over. Perfection!
Right? All the others just talk too much! Great job!
where can I get a bone folder??
What size squares do i need to start with in order to end up with a 6” finished pinwheel
Lynda Lockwood 7
7” square
I like the idea of using a bone folder to make the creases
Thanks
Thank you. PS: we have the exact same wedding ring lol
just stumbled upon this tutorial. It's amazing to see how our rulers work in so many different ways. When I first got interested in the pinwheel block the "teacher" was selling a "special" ruler for squaring up the block. I did find a square up ruler I could just as easily use already in my supplies. Then, after seeing this video I realized I have the same ruler you used to square up also. We all need to learn all the uses of our rulers and know they're not just for measuring the length of the fabric and cutting.
I try to use what I have.
Please make a video using these pinwheel blocks. Thanku!
Beautiful.
Thank you for excellent tutorial. Not everyone takes the time to answer questions in the comments. So I really appreciated your answering the inquiry from Mary below as I, too, want to make 10" blocks.
You're welcome :)
Hello, how are you doing my friend?
Nice technique, perfect for HST !
Thank you!
Thank you!
Hello Janet, how are you doing
What size blocks would you use to end up with a 10" pinwheel block
Hi Mary, I would cut 6" squares to make the half square triangles then square it up to 5 1/2". This way you would end up with the 10" finished block.
Thank you Kim! I'll try that.
Mary Theriault .
@@lilypatchquilts I just ran a test block on this. Started with 6" squares. Ended with a 6" block.
Wonderful!!!! This would take some PRACTICE!!!! ;)
Excellent tutorial on binding, Kim! I really appreciate your help.
these stamps are so lovely!
Thank you!

Hi Kim ~ LOVE this card and the colors you've chosen. Very nicely done.
