About guns being more consistant, it could be because i believe gaijin reduced their firing rate this patch (1300>1200) so they might actually be a little more accurate. But that's just a theory, a gaijin theory :)

Taiwan use the Mirage 2000-5 which is superior to the Mirage 2000C.
But if the Chinese get it, so does France.
The logical step after the Mirage 2000C is the Mirage 2000-5 in the French TT. Then at this time, China could get one. But not without France, since it's a French plane.

If you didnt know, you can actually change the radar mode mid lock while the missile is still on the way

The Mirage 2000 C from DCS starts screaming at you to slow down at 750 knots on the deck, which is 1389kph.
But you can easily ignore the warning and it’ll happily do 1.3M on the deck.

As we get fly by wire jets like these wings ripping should not be a thing as the system should prevent the pilot from being able to get into that much trouble. There is a limiter that could be switched to give more control so that would be cool.

It's funny bc the 530D should be one of the fastest SARH missiles we ever have in the game. Irl very few SARH's came close to its speed.
Technically they top out quite fast, they just accelerate very slowly compared to the other SARHs we have in the game, so at th elaunch parameters that are normal in game (sub 10km range, low alt) they take longer than other missiles to reach their target

But yes I'm aware they take a while to accelerate however the amount of speed they have over everything else, especially at range, and especially at alt, where most the jousting happens, should easily be able to make up for the lack of acceleration. It's not nearly as slow as the 54 for example, which basically just sits stationary until it's going for like 15 seconds, especially at lower alt, it's much faster than other missiles. It's not going to hit its top speed down there but it's raw engine power and burn time should still make it one of if not the best SARH we have right now.
I know it's not the same game, but just look at DCS, specifically the House of SARH competition. You can really see how much better the 530D is compared to missiles we don't even have yet (7M, 27R).
Even now though it's still pretty good, I don't see a need for a buff. I'm just arguing this for the sake of it.
@@evangalinsky2499 Top speed and acceleration aren't the same so it's not exactly contradictory, but I get what you're saying and with that burn time it does definitely seem kind of slow if it is really supposed to be a fast missile.
@@_ace_defective_ granted this number is from 40k feet with the launching aircraft at Mach .99, but the 530D should be able to hit at least Mach 4, and some, but not all, sources even say as high as Mach 5, obviously only in very specific situations, however, the next closest thing to that performance is the 7F/M, 54, and then the R-33, used by the MiG-31 Foxhound. On the deck the 530D should be capable of Mach 2+ at the end of the rocket burn. Very, very fast missile. Right now it acts more like the 530F in flight performance. It's not the same but it's close, and they should be a bit more different, even though they are just different versions of the same missile, they're very different versions.

That F-14 pilot should have realized he had way too little speed to try that against an aircraft with a high TWR. Stall traps only work in TT if your target doesn't start with energy

@@martijn9568 Stall trap doesn't necessarily mean BOTH parties are stalling. Done right, you can still jam the WEZ of opponents missiles plenty of times. Works best if you're flying something that likes to hold speed in flat turns. That being stuff like F-14...

They really buffed the damage of 25-30mm cannons so the defas are much better now.
Its not a direct buff to the damage, but the fuel explosion mechanic. If you black out someone's fuel tank (idk if there needs to be fuel in it or not yet) theres a 50% chance the whole plane explodes; and top tier jets are basically made out of fuel tanks.
Any gun 25mm+ usually tends to black out fuel tanks with 1 hit, thats why the large caliber guns feel a bit better.

The differences between the two are big enough that if both planes enter with speed, the mirage should always win the one-circle turnfight while the tomcat should always win the two-circle turnfight Did gaijin bork the flight models?
No, but its very easy to dodge the first few passes
Tomcat with flaps just had INSAE radius in the game, so in a "fair" (neutral position) merge the Mirage only barely wins the first turn, the 2nd is already neutral and after that its just L taking because the F14 with takeoffs and manual wings literally has prop plane turn radius.
If you start behind anything in the mirage and you can aim, you kind ajust win though because you point your nose wherever.

i saw a full premade of f14s that took off, split up and flew about 10km to either side of the airfield then fired all their phoenixes off, returned to the airfield, rearmed and repeat this for the entire game......

I rarely play top tier anymore (for obvious reasons), but when I do, I use DEFYN's tactics.
Even though I don't enjoy it, my most sucessful is using Defyn planes with his tactics.
I am only really good with props, Defyn's makes upfor everything else.

the reason why the defas on the mirage 2000 feel more consistent is because they have a higher fire rate and a little bit more muzzle velocity.

Harrier is more of a rat plane, because your flight performance objectively isnt all that competetive, but you got that insane acceleration, okay turn, thrust vector and the great guns and missiles so you can kinda clown people if they arent careful/ dont know what they're doing 100%.

I recently unlocked the Mirage 2000 (the grind was paintful) but...F14 still destroy my team each time.
I try to side climb, support my team but each time F14 decimates my teamates and I found my self alone against the entire enemy team with one or two kills.
What could be your advice ?

At 5:52 I have not had any problems dealing with an F-14 during 1v1 whilst using a spaded Mirage 2000. Not head on's either..just good turn and burn dog fighting.

Nothing against you but god watching top tier missile gameplay is just so mind numbing but it's every new player's goal i guess, whatever they'll learn when they get there.
I understand this is modern combat but I mean at this point it's like bombing, they'll keep adding newer things but in the end it just dissolves into the exact same gameplay no matter what you're flying.

The R530Ds should be the best fox1s in the game now
In terms of their theoretical performance, yeah they are; but the acceleration of them is *very* slow so they kinda take a while to get going, which makes it so that at the typical launch distances in the game something like an R24 will hit you far before your 530D hits if you launch at the same time.

There are many people on the forums who are pointing to many sources saying that the M2k is underperforming in many areas to a notable degree. Hopefully you can revisit this beast once Gaijin (hopefully) updates the FM? Apparently, a user who looked in the code saw that it is basically a copy pasted, upgraded Mirage 5. Disappointing if true.
You day magic 2's ignore flares but mine don't ignore flares on the F1C-200. If I fire them close up or if the enemy pops flares last second, then I notice it may ignore them.

The current forced bail out bug in Air "realistic" battles is pissing me off.
I was playing WT since 2016 and really love Air combat as this game does it especially with the WWII era aircraft. I never got the bug for tanks or ships in the game.
Now I stopped playing due to frustration in the game and my skill level simply maxed out for me and it became no longer fun for me. When the Jets came into play I found it hard to make selections for the controlls that were if to be honest for me simply too hard to configure with the number of fingers I have on each hand. So although I like to watch and would rather play, I have not played the game in 2022.
No Ace crew for the 2000 ? That’s surprising 🤔 or does it not make enough difference for spending the GE on the Ace crew?
