Hi! This is my first time watching. You're so easy to follow, so thank you for that!! I am needing help with the brim. I can't find the tutorial video that you mentioned in this video. TIA :)
My Dear my Dear, I’ve been doing your patterns for a long time . This one is a must crochet it now . I have some questions Does the CSDC count as part of the count , do you do your first stitch in the joins with the CSDC . Round 6 says ch 1 , sc in each stitch around . After Rnd 5 you no longer add the stitch , I get kind of lost . Hopefully you still monitor this thread . 😊
Hello! Yes, the CSDC replaces the ch-3 that usually counts as the first st of a dc rnd, so it counts as the first st as well. If there is no stitch count listed, that means that we are working even - so the stitch count stays the same. :)
Hi Tamara. I am crocheting a striped baby cardigan using 2 colour stripes with 3 rows each from bottom up. How do I make these stripes please? I've never crocheted stripes before.
Hi Alicia! You have a couple options. You can cut the yarn for the first color after finishing the last row before the switch, and then join to the last stitch of that row with a slip stitch, using the new color, and crochet from there! Or, you can finish the last stitch of the old color with the new color (the last yarn over and pull through) and then continue crocheting with the new color. Then you can cut the first color, or leave it hanging along the side to be picked up again. Here's a tutorial: www.mooglyblog.com/carrying-yarn/
@@AliBaba-ke5jn Sorry, I was in "in the round" mode due to the hat. But three colors is usually ideal for floating along the sides, as long as you keep the same stripe pattern, just one row each color, and always turn at the end of each row. Anything more complicated does make it... well, more complicated!
@@AliBaba-ke5jn Ah yes, I misunderstood your description. That takes other tricks - here's another colorwork possibility: www.mooglyblog.com/crocheting-with-two-loops/
How would you recommend selectively increasing?? I know its easier because it doubles, but even though i started with 13 its still too small for my 6yr olds giant head! lol I dont want to completely undo everything but i think i have to.. the pattern seems to get messed up if i try to randomly throw in a couple extras without completely doubling a row again.
So I had half a brain cell for a minute (and I'm completely new to crochet so forgive me if I explain what I did wrong).. maybe this would help someone else too. Backstory: I have never been able to successfully crochet in my life but I saw a cute snowman newborn swaddle sack that I wanted to make for my (due any day now) newborn. So I have a bunch of yarn left over after successfully making the snowman outfit! Yay! I used this pattern to make the beanie for it in black, and did a cross stitch(?) for the red "top hat" band and finished the edge with a row of double, then single. My 6yr old wanted me to make him a red/black one so thats what I am trying to do now, and yes he has a huge head this kid has been in the 95th % his whole life, 4'2 at 6 years old! Anywho, I seem to be using the same size(?) yarn as you, but I bought the recommended hook size for my yarn according to the label which was 5.5 not 6 so I think overall my pattern is coming out smaller than its supposed to be.. but I don't get crochet/yarn math enough to know how to adjust for that. What I did just figure out though, is after you front post, insert a double in the stitch behind it and 2 in the one next to it (instead of increasing 3 in the one so it lays a bit more flat). Then front post as normal on the 3rd stitch. You have to increase 2 to keep the alternating pattern in between the posts.. so making it 3 between the posts gives you the odd number you need to increase every-other on the next section of front posts after you single around the top of the current one. Currently I inserted the extras every 3rd front post, so I should have increased like 18 this row? About a quarter of my original posts more. I think. This is hard lol
Thank you for making this SUPER EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🥰😍😘
Have not watched any of your videos before and I really like your style and the free patterns. Will try this one for family
Hi Tamara , that’s a very pretty hat I’ll definitely be making this. Thank you for this tutorial.

Hi I was thinking that maybe you can make a cuddle fish squish pattern just suggesting a pattern
idea
Great !
Would you be doing a lengthy tutorial on the bag?
I hope so!

@@mooglyblog Hi Tamara. Its 3 rows of 2 colours only. Floating doesn't seem to work with uneven rows.

To keep the pattern working, it's easiest to increase 2 sts at a time! :)
I'd rather you stay with the pattern vs having a conversation. I have anxiety and it messes with me
Are you working in each chain around? Go slower and show close ups of what you're doing
Oh my gosh she is promoting
She is a jabber getting boring!,,,,,,
She doesn’t have to make tutorials for us and you don’t have to watch 🤷🏻♀️ you don’t have to be rude.
Too much talking. Could be good if only explain the pattern. Thanks
