Got really emotional at the very end when Player was talking about their memories and it showed those shots of Daybreak Town. Felt like the game was saying goodbye to us. What an amazing send-off to Union X as a whole
I always thought Eraqus was wrong for over reacting when he found out that Xehanort had been taken by the darkness in BBS but now his entire reaction/ character arc makes perfect sense.
It also makes far more sense when he Violently reacts to Ventus probable possession by vanitas and falling to darkness. Particularly his line about having the chance to stop someone but wasn't able to do it before. He's referring to Baldr and not being able to stop him from falling to darkness and killing his friends. He doesn't want Ventus to fall to darkness and kill his friends and would rather just end things right there before people get sacrificed for no reason.
Apparently the shot of the Player at the very end is supposed to be YOUR Player if you have the save data from UX on your phone, and it's just bugged. They said they're gonna fix it later
But the player default form is the one we saw at the start of Dark Road which him wearing yellow outfit (which is odd cause in Union X he wears blue outfit)
It is implied by both Eraqus and Odin that Xehanort could've saved Baldr, but he didn't and chose to take the only option that guaranteed that Darkness would be destroyed. This would be a callback to the earlier scenes where they were all talking about the cost of keeping the worlds safe. This would also make sense for later as Xehanort considers Kingdom Hearts the only way to save everything despite it literally purging everything first.
He is technically willing to work with possible Willfull darknesses such as Vanitas and ironicly LUXU to do the darkness's plan of using kingdom hearts to reset the world, but his will so strong... to overcome darkness to shift hearts away from darkness forever. Basicly he KNEW that whoever he would fight for control over Kingdom Hearts... would be TRUE DARKNESS! It still doesn't explain why Vanitas looks like Sora... BUT... considering Xehanort knew Vanitas was darkness... and saw Sora as his final battle... You can see why he did what he did. Now my question is.. Did Vanitas take Sora's form because... He will one day go to his TRUE VESSEL wich is SORA?! I mean Xehanort tried to NORT Sora... so wouldn't it be surprising that Vanitas... somehow knew he was gonna be in Sora's heart at one point and... "Oh shit" If Sora has to be a vessel of pure light to contain darkness... And Riku can withstand the darkness...Is RIKU GONNA HAVE TO KILL SORA AT THE END OF THE LOST MASTERS ARC TO DESTROY ALL DARKNESS?!
@@kotlolish Wasn’t it already explained that Vanitas has Sora’s form due to Sora connecting and filling out Ven’s heart when he (Sora) was born/Xehanort left him (Ven) to die out? Vanitas even reaffirms that at his death in KH3.

Let's not loss sight on the fact that xheanort held hoder in his heart until she was needed in the exact spot Terra does the same with eraqus many years later in kh3! That's such a nice touch imo.
Theory time: so Xehanort tells Eraqus that he wants 14 lifetimes. 13 to rebuild the world and 1 to watch the new world, and since Xehanort has plans for everything, it's possible that he has a 14th vessel. Not only that, but in the original Orginization XIII, Xemnas brought Xion, the 14th member to join their ranks, and Xion's original name is No.i, an imaginary number. Do you know what imaginary also means? Unreal or fictional. So even if Xehanort wasn't able to rebuild the world, he can always explore the world from the other side and what can be considered an afterlife: Quadratum.
Huh, I had made a comment with this same theory as well. It's just that I mentioned concept art of Xehanort holding an umbrella being a major clue. Since it looks like he's in Shibuya, namely Miyashita Park.

It said Xehanort was sensitive to the hearts of others, so Xehanort was experiencing the old person's memories as the player in Union X through his dreams and mistook those for his own memories of a past life. Player probably saw that he was destined to raise Xehanort when he was given the choice to reincarnate, saw Xehanort would go on to train in Scala and decided that he/she wanted to do that so he/she could raise who he/she felt was the child of destiny, A.K.A Xehanort. The player character didn't survive at the end of Union X. Player died in Union X was reincarnated as the player in Missing Link and that player grows up to be the old person who raises Xehanort. Somehow Player in Missing Link will regain their memories of their previous life in Union X under as of yet unknown circumstances. Like Chain of Memories taught us, even when memories are forgotten, the memories themselves still exist in the deepest shadows of your heart. So every memory of a past life would exist within a person's heart, no matter how many times they are reincarnated, it's just those memories are forgotten, but never lost.

So here's the Kingdom Hearts 4 theory that i had regarding what Xehanort had said about wanting 14 lifetimes. Pretty much Xehanort has either been reincarnated into Quadratum or has a vessel there. Since it would explain why there's concept art of Young Xehanort holding an umbrella in what looks like Miyashita Park in Shibuya. Compare part of the concept art to an image of the park to see the similarities. And knowing that Strelitzia is there, i wouldn't be surprised if Xehanort's classmates are there as well. Oh if your curious about the other 13 lifetimes they could be his first life and his 12 vessels. After all, just because the Dark Seeker Saga is over. It doesn't mean that we have seen the last of Xehanort.

And had Apprentince Xehanort had said that if she ends up in a world that doesn't conatin either light or darkness, then her mission will be difficult.
Xehanort's mom looked similar to Skuld, and he must have learned more about his mother at one point. So I'm wondering if the reason why Ansem (his heartless) tried to track Subject X down back in KH3 because he believed she was his mother or related to her.

So the 14th lifetime + the recent Nomura art of young Xehanort might be an indication that he will be in Quadratum and since he is a singularity, it is possible the Heartless appears because of him. But someone in Japan spotted in the background of the Xehanort art, that it resembles the park in Shibuya so in KH4 we might see Young Xehanort or a reincarnation or something
Not only that but in an interview for dark road, Nomura directly states that just because dark road is over that doesn't mean we won't see Xehanort again, and that "when the opportunity arises then..." Nomura also confirms that Xehanort shaved his head lol.
Dark Road is truly is the first in the series where it introduce a bunch of new characters and just wipe them all at once in the same title From what I understood of the ending is the following: Xehanort was Ephemer's grand grand grand grand son, and "We" the player weren't Xehanort at all, but we actually 'Raised' Xehanort. And Bragi is Luxu/Xigbar. Also ---> Bragi = Braig (Xigbar) ? I would also want to believe that Xehanort is hinting at something with that "14th lifetime" he mention

It actually makes sense that Bragi is secretly Luxu cause Bragi is litteraly an anagram for Xigbar just like how Braig is and we all know Xigbar is none other than Luxu.
The way that scene played out with Baldr was pretty brutal. He was singled out, hunted down, tied up, and executed by his former friends (granted he did just go on a killing spree). The way he called out to Xehanort after getting captured saying this is how they treat us, and telling him to try and understand the darkness instead really got me.
I know it's an idiotic thought, but with Eraqus dying in BbS and Xehanort in KH3, the goal of Baldr's darkness got reached. And if you count Sora's death as a thirteen replacement for Bragi/Braig/Xigbar/Luxu, then.... Oh boy KH4 is promising to be spicy. Like, imagine if there was an even greater plan in motion. Also... "And when that light disappears, we lose our purpose and are swallowed by the void." The void, devoid of light and shadows cast by it. Quadratum???
Here are three theories to think about HMK. 1. I believed the Destiny Islands became populated when people wanted to escape the Darkness. 2. Sora could be both the True Child of Destiny and The Master of Masters’ past self and true identity. 3. Master Odin is Yen Sid or at least connected to his story.
13 lights in the current story (sans Dark Road, which probably has it's own 13 lights), the four trios maybe: Sea Salt (twilight) Trio, Paopu (Destiny Islands) Trio, Wayfinder (Sleep) Trio, and The Trio of the Past (Lauriam, Elrena, and Stretlitzia) + King Mickey. Count how many there.
Alternately: Instead of King Mickey, light 13 could be Yozora, who is looking for his "girlfriend" in what we assumed was the game trailer. I feel like the lights and darknesses are two sides of the same coin (of themselves) and not two separate sides. Which could explain why that one line was "13 lights". I believe it could be 13 in perfect balance of light and dark and not leaning heavily to either side. (the person who proves this heavily is Riku who got taken by darkness but took the road to the dawn [light] and I think thereafter was a balance of light and darkness because they keep each other in check)
Don't really know how to point it exactly but the Eraqus/Xehanort relationship can be seen in a lot of KH protags : Sora/Riku (sora is the light where Riku had to prove itself after being "weak" Roxas/Axel : Roxas as to prove himself as a whole person where Axel saw him and try to make him stay "alive" no matter what, Ventus/Terra : one is open-minded and doesn't really need to proove anything while Terra find the need to do it (also it can be said that Terra/Ventus are like a 2 part character who need to prove something while Aqua is the one to always support them and LITERALLY bring them back together) player/Ephemer where the player is the one to always help without true failure Ephemer where he needs to make a place in the new world. Lots of parallels can be found, it's interesting that Dark road show us a pattern of "one is open-minded where the other is bound to redeemed himself before choosing a path" for all protagonists of KH games.

This ending was awesome, just as we thought. I enjoyed it, it was a real doozy. Still getting adjusted to some things now. 2 things I gotta say here: 1. While some people say Bragi survived Baldr's attack, I believe Bragi himself is dead. But Luxu (and only Luxu) managed to survive Bragi's death and continued to use his body until he found his next vessel. After which, Bragi's body fades, covering Luxu's tracks. 2. Baldr is now a contender for my list of favorite kingdom hearts villains. I always had the feeling that if Xehanort hadn't become the Dark Seeker, someone else would have, and Baldr proves that to me. I hope we get a full 3D boss fight against him and his 'Hringhorn' Heartless in a future game. (Data boss, Secret boss, Flashback boss, anything)
Bragi was already luxu's Vessel (meaning he was already dead unless they merged their hearts) when he confronts baldr. He most likely tricked baldr into believing that he died by his Hand. Rember baldr counts bragi as One of his kills.
@@tomasdevoy1459 Yes, Baldr did count Bragi as one of his kills. But I don't think he presumed anything. Luxu-Bragi survived, but the actual Bragi-Bragi is dead. Luxu may have released Bragi's own heart from his body to get Baldr off his trail. This works because Baldr only needed one heart to be released. But, Baldr was not the only one Luxu needed to evade, he needed to elude Hades too. Remember One of them needed to stay behind as a permanent resident of the Underworld as per the terms of Hades offer. This also plays into what Hades says to Xehanort and co. One of them is now a permanent resident of the Underworld. Bragi's own life, his own heart, was lost, so he is the one that Hades was referring to. Since Bragi's body was now solely inhabited by Luxu, he got out while no one was looking.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the child of Destiny could be either sora or xehanort/both of them kind of like in Star Wars how it was implied that if Luke failed they would just go to Leia as she was a possible chosen one as well and also in Harry Potter how it either could have been Harry or Neville and Kingdom Hearts is also no stranger to this could have gone either way prophecy with the whole legend of the keyblade one Legend says it's wielder save the world another says it brought destruction

Xehanort is definitely the Singularity, bit as in he's a hole in the Master's plan, but in the fact that he's a temporal singularity since he goes back in time to take himself to be a keyblade wielder and eventually become the main antagonist. Besides, if you look at his very last speech, blood of Ephemer aside, everything he says applies to Sora.

But unlike baldr and xehanort, he won’t willingly let his heart succumb to darkness. Bragi's mythological self is connected to a wooden box, and his character file being all about poking and prodding Xehanort almost as if he's testing him made it pretty obvious, even without the name similarities lol. Besides, most of the times in KH, a "plot twist" IS actually the obvious option, which is why I like KH a lot. There are exceptions but the obvious is usually the correct choice :'D

You know after hearing about the child of destiny, which can be Sora. It reminds of Roxas’ other title when he was part of Organization XIII, the Key of Destiny.
Sora is constantly referred to as the 'Keyblade's Chosen One'. Starting to think there might be a bit more to it than just a name, as Sora is the only person to have been actually chosen by a keyblade, and specifically because of his ability to connect his heart with others which is where his strength of heart comes from.

So darkness told Xeha that 13 lights need to fall to darkness, so his way of summoning KH was a lie to get everyone to fight so that is 13 dark hearts will go down, he was sacrificing himself for the purge 🤔
Yes and no. 7 guardians of Light clash against 13 Seekers of Darkness and that summons Kingdom Hearts. The 13 are Lights succumbed to Darkness. Xehanort couldn’t just pick anyone as Vessels, they needed to be strong enough that the Darkness wouldn’t consume them. He needed people with hearts strong enough to withstand the Darkness inside them. 13 Lights.
The player character likely reincarnated as the player character of Missing Link, grew old, and became the blue coat/ young Xehanort's Guardian. That seems to be the gist of it.

Xehanort's technically not the child of destiny cuz he was not BORN at the Destiny Islands, he was born in Scala Ad Caelum and raised by Blue Hood in the Destiny Islands. However, Sora WAS born on the Destiny Islands, making him the true Child of Destiny. But then, it's implied that Riku was also born in the Destiny Islands, so BOTH Sora and Riku could be considered Children of Destiny, but Sora is the one that has the traits described by Blue Hood.

They really went dark in this final episode. If it's possible to see the keyblade wielders from dark road to appear in Quadratum in KH4 much like Strelitzia.

Boy, Luxu sure does love the letter B I noticed. But Baldr doesn't count thoughXD. Also makes me wonder: maybe what's inside the black box might also start with the letter B? Makes me think that the names of Brain, Bragi & Braig might hint onto something.
I wonder... when Xeahnort said 13 lifetimes that meant true oranization 13 in the case, but then when he said 14 it could only mean that he made another contingency plan that is unknown to us right now, of course it could be a bluff, but I can't seem to shake off the feeling that there's more to it.
It hurts my soul that Xehanort was like "yeah Eraqus, you're the true heir of these people because you're a descendant of them". My baby boy is one too... I don't know if he simply forgot all of that because he was really young, just like our original trio, or if he forgot because of the time stuff, or even just by passing through what appear to be a corrifor of darkness opened by his heartless form from the time the older him possessed the pupil of one his futur best friend... This whole story makes me appreciate Xehanort so much more than I couldn't think was possible. And it all makes sense. That's amazing. So he's a full empath like Sora clearly is, hence why is able to become a hotel for lost hearts, and just like Baldr it seems. The thing that I can't pipoint yet is who the one refered in that book ? The old person looking out for Xehanort said they will be choose as a vessel of darkness so I thought it would be Ventus, since he was just there and was possessed by darkness. Same darkness saying that fate was written in the book of propheties back at the end of Union Cross. Is that who the child of destiny is ? But if they are to come from the islands, then it only leave Sora. Then...does that mean Sora will eventually become a vessel for darkness ? Or was already done when Xehanort try to take over his body ? Or even by the fact that he has darkness in him ? Since he turned into a heartless when he stabbed his chest his order to free Kairi ? And overall, why did he needed to end up in Quadratum ? Why did Xeahnort wanted him to be ? And why would MOM want him there as well ? So, the end of the story told us that Ephemer, after the destruction of Day Break Town, build Scala out of nowhere, gather and train people who couldn't be there as naturals because the previous world was destroyed, before taking a wife, having children who eventually lead to Xehanort. Then, if we can trust all the clues we have, died, hence why Sora saw him with the other fallen keyblade vieldiers at the end of KH3. So that makes one. The player from Union did die because we saw that at the end of Union Cross then gets attached to Xehanort, who was able to seek into his memories and went obssessed about it. That doesn't explain how he was able to become that old person, his second life, while still having his memories. Did his soul waited so long to be around when Xehanort was a baby, possibily not being able to meet Ephemer agin before his passing ? Alright, that makes 2 (assuming he doesn't went on resting in Sora's heart with Ventus becak in the day). We know for sure Ventus stranded in a time where Xehanort was an old man, get trained by him before becoming pure light again, leaving tragedy before coming back in KH3. That makes 3. Lauriam and Elrena were able to find each other again in the organization at least, if not even sooner, before getting back full human again after KH3, assuming they went on the same journey. With Ventus all knowing at that time, I would love to see them interact. That makes 5. That let Skuld who I firmly believe is Subject X. But it could also be Ava even if I don't believe in it that much. Still, she's still one of the few missing since her coworkers went full on dark mode with MOM and Luxu. She "didn't make it after all" so we could assume she died. Even if no body means no proves. We still don't know how Kairi's grandma became aware of the old legends (or those people really aren't good at keeping secrets) or what's the whole deal with Kairi herself. Princess of heart able to wield a keyblade, making people whole again without trying, getting spoted on by apprentice Xeahnort (even if it just could be because she was the only princess at his disposal)... I knew it. For Bragi, I knew it ! The few times I got to play the games, I always had my eyes on him. I knew it ! Then, I wonder who he takes the body off after that. Directly Braig ? Then how come he ended up in Radiant Garden. What is to keep an eye on Kairi on some other folks, like Ansem ? Because he was a guard then even before Xehanort shows up. Give this man an award at roleplay please. He knew Xehanort for that long and still play the sacred man about his own keyblade and the whole shit. I like to think he took Bragi's body to keep in touch with his body budy Brain's grandson. That begs the question : if Bragi was supposed dead, what did Luxu do with his body once he swapped ? I can't wait for more lore in Missing Link ! As always with Kingdom Hearts, more questions than answers. But I lie for that kind of story that makes you think for hours. And Nomura is way ahead of us. Do you people realize how much time he had to think of this story and all the stuff to come ? It's insane to be able to keep it up.

What if the player character embued some of their heart into Xehanort before they died giving him a chance to fufill his own destiny that has to transpire in order for the likes of Sora to be successful in thwarting The Master of Master's bonkers plan? That player character knew there would be a better way but Xehanort is a key to it of course he would have done evil things but at the same time he has to take certain actions to make sure Sora gets to where he must go to.
love how many hoops it took HMK to finally accept and understand the Player character's life cycles. Definitely agree that the end of UX threw us off a bit too much with that last scene

Luxu Reveals are becoming a thing it seems! I didn't notice at first, but Baldr's keyblade is shaking because Bragi/Luxu is grabbing its shaft. Sneaky. Man, I honestly hope Luxu goes the way of Axel/Lea. Where he becomes loved enough that Nomura doesn't bump him off.
I knew bragi was alive when they showed his "death scene" & his heart didnt fly off. Similar to KH3 when you defeat xigbar & he falls off the wall instead of disappearing like the other darknesses.

So when it comes to subject X, it seems like somehow Scald and Ephemer probably did link up again and have children leading to the eventual birth of Xehanort’s mom and then Xehanort so leaving subject X to be Ava..? Ava seems like the only character left that is unaccounted for. This next theory could be a HUGE reach but subject X is Ava who used to be visited by Lea and Isa in Radiant Garden after arriving from the past, disappeared by finding a way to travel back into the past (Maybe with the arcs in KH1 Hollow Bastion which is also Radiant Garden) and grew up to be Kairi’s grandma who narrates the beginning of Unchained X where Ava is introduced and goes missing by the time of Union X… thus completing the loop. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
Alright listen here my theory before missing link, our player character is being consistently being Reincarnated to do certain task with out end, almost like with luxu with his body swapping. union x player could be sora since he to is doing his role without end.
@@gustavju4686 I'd pin it far more on Sora considering Sora's heart specifically was born right when Ventus was in need of help, and also was born in the place the player died (destiny island) and was able and willing to help Ventus at the moment of his birth. If Sora was the player, then it becomes a far more explainable happenstance, as something that was acted on by the players will and explains how Sora's newborn heart had the intimate knowledge of melding hearts with others, from his experience in melding his heart.
Here's the answer to the mystery from the post credit scene that I found on Wikipedia: A post-credits scene shows a flashback to Xehanort's childhood, in which he is watched over on Destiny Islands by his elderly caretaker, the reborn player from Union χ. The caretaker believes Xehanort to be the "child of destiny", a prophesied savior of the world, and has sequestered him there to hide him from the True Darknesses until he becomes strong enough to defeat them. Years later, the caretaker passes away, content in having protected Ephemer's great-great-grandson.
If Luxu sent Brain’s heart into the future to the time of Missing Link after using his body as a vessel, would he have possibly put Bragi’s heart somewhere as well…?
That place was the Underworld in Bragi's case. Luxu probably kept Bragi's heart until Baldr attacked him from behind. Then he let Bragi's heart fade, to get not only Baldr off his trail, but Hades too. Bragi's heart in the Underworld fulfilled Hades's terms to the gang. Bragi was the permanent resident of the Underworld. The same one that Hades told Xehanort, Eraqus, and Urd about, before their fight, and Hermod rejoining. So Bragi himself is dead. But Luxu survived, and continued to use Bragi's body as his vessel.
Everyone keeps talking about Xehanort not noticing the old person passing, but think about that area in KH1. It’s not as condensed as it is here, so if he’s standing on the shore with the waves crashing, he probably *wouldn’t* have heard the collapse
I think it was either KH2 or Birth by Sleep where they mentioned that light and dark are intrinsically linked and interchangable with one another Meaning if there are 7 lights, there will be 13 darknesses, yet if there are 7 darknesses, there will be 13 lights
Well, since Luxord was a pawn of Xehanort and he was from Quadratum, is it that far fetched that xehanort knew that. That’s why Luxu was suspicious of Luxord. Hence when Luxord returned to quadratum he took part of Xehanort with him. So therefore Xehanort 14th life is not part of the real world. But in the “false world”. Which sets the entire story up to be Xehanort was always the good guy, that just had to do terrible deeds to correct the Master of Masters plan which he found to be wrong.
I imagine that the 13 lights mentioned by this darkness were the rest of the wielders who were still alive, his light included, since there are 7 in each group, both Xenahort's and the upperclassmen, but then again by that point the other three from the upper classmen had died aswell, so 13 lights..., I wonder what that means..... It could be possible that it's reffering to both the 7 princesses of light and the 7 guardians of light, from which Hoder was one of them, as she was described as a pure heart, much like Eraqus(at least back then).
I read the blue Mr Robe guy as Brain on my playthrough. But as I think of the ending scenes of UX, it makes sense to be the player character of UX/missing link like you said. We were led to believe that the player character reincarnated into Xehanort. Nomura!

The old man and xehanort are most likely pieces of the player character. Because remember, old man xeh does flat out say that he remembers union cross that he was our character. So, it could be possible that some way some how we get to return as our character somewhere down the line because this feels like a nobody situation.

Got really emotional at the very end when Player was talking about their memories and it showed those shots of Daybreak Town. Felt like the game was saying goodbye to us. What an amazing send-off to Union X as a whole
I always thought Eraqus was wrong for over reacting when he found out that Xehanort had been taken by the darkness in BBS but now his entire reaction/ character arc makes perfect sense.
It also makes far more sense when he Violently reacts to Ventus probable possession by vanitas and falling to darkness. Particularly his line about having the chance to stop someone but wasn't able to do it before. He's referring to Baldr and not being able to stop him from falling to darkness and killing his friends. He doesn't want Ventus to fall to darkness and kill his friends and would rather just end things right there before people get sacrificed for no reason.
Apparently the shot of the Player at the very end is supposed to be YOUR Player if you have the save data from UX on your phone, and it's just bugged. They said they're gonna fix it later

It is implied by both Eraqus and Odin that Xehanort could've saved Baldr, but he didn't and chose to take the only option that guaranteed that Darkness would be destroyed. This would be a callback to the earlier scenes where they were all talking about the cost of keeping the worlds safe. This would also make sense for later as Xehanort considers Kingdom Hearts the only way to save everything despite it literally purging everything first.
He is technically willing to work with possible Willfull darknesses such as Vanitas and ironicly LUXU to do the darkness's plan of using kingdom hearts to reset the world, but his will so strong... to overcome darkness to shift hearts away from darkness forever.
Basicly he KNEW that whoever he would fight for control over Kingdom Hearts... would be TRUE DARKNESS!
It still doesn't explain why Vanitas looks like Sora... BUT... considering Xehanort knew Vanitas was darkness... and saw Sora as his final battle...

Theory time: so Xehanort tells Eraqus that he wants 14 lifetimes. 13 to rebuild the world and 1 to watch the new world, and since Xehanort has plans for everything, it's possible that he has a 14th vessel. Not only that, but in the original Orginization XIII, Xemnas brought Xion, the 14th member to join their ranks, and Xion's original name is No.i, an imaginary number. Do you know what imaginary also means? Unreal or fictional. So even if Xehanort wasn't able to rebuild the world, he can always explore the world from the other side and what can be considered an afterlife: Quadratum.

It said Xehanort was sensitive to the hearts of others, so Xehanort was experiencing the old person's memories as the player in Union X through his dreams and mistook those for his own memories of a past life. Player probably saw that he was destined to raise Xehanort when he was given the choice to reincarnate, saw Xehanort would go on to train in Scala and decided that he/she wanted to do that so he/she could raise who he/she felt was the child of destiny, A.K.A Xehanort.
The player character didn't survive at the end of Union X. Player died in Union X was reincarnated as the player in Missing Link and that player grows up to be the old person who raises Xehanort. Somehow Player in Missing Link will regain their memories of their previous life in Union X under as of yet unknown circumstances. Like Chain of Memories taught us, even when memories are forgotten, the memories themselves still exist in the deepest shadows of your heart. So every memory of a past life would exist within a person's heart, no matter how many times they are reincarnated, it's just those memories are forgotten, but never lost.
If memories exist in darkness does that mean vanitas has ven's memories?
@@FlutterSwag To some extent probably. Roxas and Xion had Sora’s memories flowing into them through out 358/2 Days so it seems people who are deeply connected can share memories to an extent.
So here's the Kingdom Hearts 4 theory that i had regarding what Xehanort had said about wanting 14 lifetimes. Pretty much Xehanort has either been reincarnated into Quadratum or has a vessel there. Since it would explain why there's concept art of Young Xehanort holding an umbrella in what looks like Miyashita Park in Shibuya. Compare part of the concept art to an image of the park to see the similarities.
And knowing that Strelitzia is there, i wouldn't be surprised if Xehanort's classmates are there as well.
Oh if your curious about the other 13 lifetimes they could be his first life and his 12 vessels.
After all, just because the Dark Seeker Saga is over. It doesn't mean that we have seen the last of Xehanort.

Xehanort was Ephemer's grand grand grand grand son, and "We" the player weren't Xehanort at all, but we actually 'Raised' Xehanort. And Bragi is Luxu/Xigbar. Also ---> Bragi = Braig (Xigbar) ?
I would also want to believe that Xehanort is hinting at something with that "14th lifetime" he mention

The way that scene played out with Baldr was pretty brutal.
He was singled out, hunted down, tied up, and executed by his former friends (granted he did just go on a killing spree).
The way he called out to Xehanort after getting captured saying this is how they treat us, and telling him to try and understand the darkness instead really got me.
I know it's an idiotic thought, but with Eraqus dying in BbS and Xehanort in KH3, the goal of Baldr's darkness got reached.
And if you count Sora's death as a thirteen replacement for Bragi/Braig/Xigbar/Luxu, then.... Oh boy KH4 is promising to be spicy.
Like, imagine if there was an even greater plan in motion.

Here are three theories to think about HMK.
1. I believed the Destiny Islands became populated when people wanted to escape the Darkness.
2. Sora could be both the True Child of Destiny and The Master of Masters’ past self and true identity.
3. Master Odin is Yen Sid or at least connected to his story.
13 lights in the current story (sans Dark Road, which probably has it's own 13 lights), the four trios maybe: Sea Salt (twilight) Trio, Paopu (Destiny Islands) Trio, Wayfinder (Sleep) Trio, and The Trio of the Past (Lauriam, Elrena, and Stretlitzia) + King Mickey.
Count how many there.
Alternately: Instead of King Mickey, light 13 could be Yozora, who is looking for his "girlfriend" in what we assumed was the game trailer.
I feel like the lights and darknesses are two sides of the same coin (of themselves) and not two separate sides. Which could explain why that one line was "13 lights". I believe it could be 13 in perfect balance of light and dark and not leaning heavily to either side. (the person who proves this heavily is Riku who got taken by darkness but took the road to the dawn [light] and I think thereafter was a balance of light and darkness because they keep each other in check)
We’ve been tricked we’ve been backstabbed and we’ve been quite possibly bamboozled
Don't really know how to point it exactly but the Eraqus/Xehanort relationship can be seen in a lot of KH protags : Sora/Riku (sora is the light where Riku had to prove itself after being "weak" Roxas/Axel : Roxas as to prove himself as a whole person where Axel saw him and try to make him stay "alive" no matter what, Ventus/Terra : one is open-minded and doesn't really need to proove anything while Terra find the need to do it (also it can be said that Terra/Ventus are like a 2 part character who need to prove something while Aqua is the one to always support them and LITERALLY bring them back together) player/Ephemer where the player is the one to always help without true failure Ephemer where he needs to make a place in the new world.
Lots of parallels can be found, it's interesting that Dark road show us a pattern of "one is open-minded where the other is bound to redeemed himself before choosing a path" for all protagonists of KH games.

This ending was awesome, just as we thought. I enjoyed it, it was a real doozy. Still getting adjusted to some things now.
2 things I gotta say here:
1. While some people say Bragi survived Baldr's attack, I believe Bragi himself is dead. But Luxu (and only Luxu) managed to survive Bragi's death and continued to use his body until he found his next vessel. After which, Bragi's body fades, covering Luxu's tracks.
2. Baldr is now a contender for my list of favorite kingdom hearts villains. I always had the feeling that if Xehanort hadn't become the Dark Seeker, someone else would have, and Baldr proves that to me.
I hope we get a full 3D boss fight against him and his 'Hringhorn' Heartless in a future game. (Data boss, Secret boss, Flashback boss, anything)
Bragi was already luxu's Vessel (meaning he was already dead unless they merged their hearts) when he confronts baldr. He most likely tricked baldr into believing that he died by his Hand. Rember baldr counts bragi as One of his kills.

Luxu-Bragi survived, but the actual Bragi-Bragi is dead.
Luxu may have released Bragi's own heart from his body to get Baldr off his trail. This works because Baldr only needed one heart to be released.
But, Baldr was not the only one Luxu needed to evade, he needed to elude Hades too. Remember One of them needed to stay behind as a permanent resident of the Underworld as per the terms of Hades offer.
This also plays into what Hades says to Xehanort and co. One of them is now a permanent resident of the Underworld. Bragi's own life, his own heart, was lost, so he is the one that Hades was referring to. Since Bragi's body was now solely inhabited by Luxu, he got out while no one was looking.
"In Norse mythology, Hringhorni (Old Norse "ship with a circle on the stem") is the name of the ship of the god Baldr, described as the "greatest of all ships".

Also, I wonder if Master Odin was one of the ancient masters Yen Sid mentions knowing about traversal to Unreality, and if he may come up again.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the child of Destiny could be either sora or xehanort/both of them kind of like in Star Wars how it was implied that if Luke failed they would just go to Leia as she was a possible chosen one as well and also in Harry Potter how it either could have been Harry or Neville and Kingdom Hearts is also no stranger to this could have gone either way prophecy with the whole legend of the keyblade one Legend says it's wielder save the world another says it brought destruction
But didn't Nomura say sora is a normal ordinary boy or did I imagine that?

Xehanort is definitely the Singularity, bit as in he's a hole in the Master's plan, but in the fact that he's a temporal singularity since he goes back in time to take himself to be a keyblade wielder and eventually become the main antagonist.

But unlike baldr and xehanort, he won’t willingly let his heart succumb to darkness. And proof being ephemer revealing himself to sora, and sora being able to change destiny in kh3 like the prophecy states.

Bragi's mythological self is connected to a wooden box, and his character file being all about poking and prodding Xehanort almost as if he's testing him made it pretty obvious, even without the name similarities lol. Besides, most of the times in KH, a "plot twist" IS actually the obvious option, which is why I like KH a lot. There are exceptions but the obvious is usually the correct choice :'D

You know after hearing about the child of destiny, which can be Sora. It reminds of Roxas’ other title when he was part of Organization XIII, the Key of Destiny.
Sora is constantly referred to as the 'Keyblade's Chosen One'. Starting to think there might be a bit more to it than just a name, as Sora is the only person to have been actually chosen by a keyblade, and specifically because of his ability to connect his heart with others which is where his strength of heart comes from.

So darkness told Xeha that 13 lights need to fall to darkness, so his way of summoning KH was a lie to get everyone to fight so that is 13 dark hearts will go down, he was sacrificing himself for the purge 🤔
Yes and no. 7 guardians of Light clash against 13 Seekers of Darkness and that summons Kingdom Hearts. The 13 are Lights succumbed to Darkness. Xehanort couldn’t just pick anyone as Vessels, they needed to be strong enough that the Darkness wouldn’t consume them. He needed people with hearts strong enough to withstand the Darkness inside them. 13 Lights.
The player character likely reincarnated as the player character of Missing Link, grew old, and became the blue coat/ young Xehanort's Guardian. That seems to be the gist of it.

Xehanort's technically not the child of destiny cuz he was not BORN at the Destiny Islands, he was born in Scala Ad Caelum and raised by Blue Hood in the Destiny Islands. However, Sora WAS born on the Destiny Islands, making him the true Child of Destiny. But then, it's implied that Riku was also born in the Destiny Islands, so BOTH Sora and Riku could be considered Children of Destiny, but Sora is the one that has the traits described by Blue Hood.

I wonder... when Xeahnort said 13 lifetimes that meant true oranization 13 in the case, but then when he said 14 it could only mean that he made another contingency plan that is unknown to us right now, of course it could be a bluff, but I can't seem to shake off the feeling that there's more to it.
Nomura confirmed in an interview just recently that just because the dark seeker saga is over, this is not the last we have seen of Xehanort.
It hurts my soul that Xehanort was like "yeah Eraqus, you're the true heir of these people because you're a descendant of them". My baby boy is one too... I don't know if he simply forgot all of that because he was really young, just like our original trio, or if he forgot because of the time stuff, or even just by passing through what appear to be a corrifor of darkness opened by his heartless form from the time the older him possessed the pupil of one his futur best friend...
This whole story makes me appreciate Xehanort so much more than I couldn't think was possible. And it all makes sense. That's amazing. So he's a full empath like Sora clearly is, hence why is able to become a hotel for lost hearts, and just like Baldr it seems. The thing that I can't pipoint yet is who the one refered in that book ? The old person looking out for Xehanort said they will be choose as a vessel of darkness so I thought it would be Ventus, since he was just there and was possessed by darkness. Same darkness saying that fate was written in the book of propheties back at the end of Union Cross. Is that who the child of destiny is ? But if they are to come from the islands, then it only leave Sora. Then...does that mean Sora will eventually become a vessel for darkness ? Or was already done when Xehanort try to take over his body ? Or even by the fact that he has darkness in him ? Since he turned into a heartless when he stabbed his chest his order to free Kairi ? And overall, why did he needed to end up in Quadratum ? Why did Xeahnort wanted him to be ? And why would MOM want him there as well ?
So, the end of the story told us that Ephemer, after the destruction of Day Break Town, build Scala out of nowhere, gather and train people who couldn't be there as naturals because the previous world was destroyed, before taking a wife, having children who eventually lead to Xehanort. Then, if we can trust all the clues we have, died, hence why Sora saw him with the other fallen keyblade vieldiers at the end of KH3. So that makes one. The player from Union did die because we saw that at the end of Union Cross then gets attached to Xehanort, who was able to seek into his memories and went obssessed about it. That doesn't explain how he was able to become that old person, his second life, while still having his memories. Did his soul waited so long to be around when Xehanort was a baby, possibily not being able to meet Ephemer agin before his passing ? Alright, that makes 2 (assuming he doesn't went on resting in Sora's heart with Ventus becak in the day). We know for sure Ventus stranded in a time where Xehanort was an old man, get trained by him before becoming pure light again, leaving tragedy before coming back in KH3. That makes 3. Lauriam and Elrena were able to find each other again in the organization at least, if not even sooner, before getting back full human again after KH3, assuming they went on the same journey. With Ventus all knowing at that time, I would love to see them interact. That makes 5. That let Skuld who I firmly believe is Subject X. But it could also be Ava even if I don't believe in it that much. Still, she's still one of the few missing since her coworkers went full on dark mode with MOM and Luxu. She "didn't make it after all" so we could assume she died. Even if no body means no proves. We still don't know how Kairi's grandma became aware of the old legends (or those people really aren't good at keeping secrets) or what's the whole deal with Kairi herself. Princess of heart able to wield a keyblade, making people whole again without trying, getting spoted on by apprentice Xeahnort (even if it just could be because she was the only princess at his disposal)...
I knew it. For Bragi, I knew it ! The few times I got to play the games, I always had my eyes on him. I knew it ! Then, I wonder who he takes the body off after that. Directly Braig ? Then how come he ended up in Radiant Garden. What is to keep an eye on Kairi on some other folks, like Ansem ? Because he was a guard then even before Xehanort shows up. Give this man an award at roleplay please. He knew Xehanort for that long and still play the sacred man about his own keyblade and the whole shit. I like to think he took Bragi's body to keep in touch with his body budy Brain's grandson. That begs the question : if Bragi was supposed dead, what did Luxu do with his body once he swapped ? I can't wait for more lore in Missing Link !
As always with Kingdom Hearts, more questions than answers. But I lie for that kind of story that makes you think for hours. And Nomura is way ahead of us. Do you people realize how much time he had to think of this story and all the stuff to come ? It's insane to be able to keep it up.

What if the player character embued some of their heart into Xehanort before they died giving him a chance to fufill his own destiny that has to transpire in order for the likes of Sora to be successful in thwarting The Master of Master's bonkers plan? That player character knew there would be a better way but Xehanort is a key to it of course he would have done evil things but at the same time he has to take certain actions to make sure Sora gets to where he must go to.
Bragi was a different body that Luxu used and then he found braig

It was honestly a pretty good microcosm of how overboard people go with theories. Going through hoops to get to the most ridiculous explanations (like Ava being the robed figure), when the obvious truth is staring you right in the face.

I knew bragi was alive when they showed his "death scene" & his heart didnt fly off. Similar to KH3 when you defeat xigbar & he falls off the wall instead of disappearing like the other darknesses.

So when it comes to subject X, it seems like somehow Scald and Ephemer probably did link up again and have children leading to the eventual birth of Xehanort’s mom and then Xehanort so leaving subject X to be Ava..? Ava seems like the only character left that is unaccounted for. This next theory could be a HUGE reach but subject X is Ava who used to be visited by Lea and Isa in Radiant Garden after arriving from the past, disappeared by finding a way to travel back into the past (Maybe with the arcs in KH1 Hollow Bastion which is also Radiant Garden) and grew up to be Kairi’s grandma who narrates the beginning of Unchained X where Ava is introduced and goes missing by the time of Union X… thus completing the loop. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️

Alright listen here my theory before missing link, our player character is being consistently being Reincarnated to do certain task with out end, almost like with luxu with his body swapping. union x player could be sora since he to is doing his role without end.
I thought of that too. Or maybe Riku given both have a link to Xehanort and Riku began the whole adventure by opening the keyhole of D.I.
@@gustavju4686 I'd pin it far more on Sora considering Sora's heart specifically was born right when Ventus was in need of help, and also was born in the place the player died (destiny island) and was able and willing to help Ventus at the moment of his birth. If Sora was the player, then it becomes a far more explainable happenstance, as something that was acted on by the players will and explains how Sora's newborn heart had the intimate knowledge of melding hearts with others, from his experience in melding his heart.
Here's the answer to the mystery from the post credit scene that I found on Wikipedia: A post-credits scene shows a flashback to Xehanort's childhood, in which he is watched over on Destiny Islands by his elderly caretaker, the reborn player from Union χ. The caretaker believes Xehanort to be the "child of destiny", a prophesied savior of the world, and has sequestered him there to hide him from the True Darknesses until he becomes strong enough to defeat them. Years later, the caretaker passes away, content in having protected Ephemer's great-great-grandson.
If Luxu sent Brain’s heart into the future to the time of Missing Link after using his body as a vessel, would he have possibly put Bragi’s heart somewhere as well…?

Luxu probably kept Bragi's heart until Baldr attacked him from behind.
Then he let Bragi's heart fade, to get not only Baldr off his trail, but Hades too.
Bragi's heart in the Underworld fulfilled Hades's terms to the gang.
Bragi was the permanent resident of the Underworld. The same one that Hades told Xehanort, Eraqus, and Urd about, before their fight, and Hermod rejoining.
So Bragi himself is dead. But Luxu survived, and continued to use Bragi's body as his vessel.
Everyone keeps talking about Xehanort not noticing the old person passing, but think about that area in KH1. It’s not as condensed as it is here, so if he’s standing on the shore with the waves crashing, he probably *wouldn’t* have heard the collapse

Kingdom Hearts is the reason that Darkness exists. Kingdom Hearts is light, and any great light will cast an even larger shadow. As above, so below
Well, since Luxord was a pawn of Xehanort and he was from Quadratum, is it that far fetched that xehanort knew that. That’s why Luxu was suspicious of Luxord. Hence when Luxord returned to quadratum he took part of Xehanort with him. So therefore Xehanort 14th life is not part of the real world. But in the “false world”. Which sets the entire story up to be Xehanort was always the good guy, that just had to do terrible deeds to correct the Master of Masters plan which he found to be wrong.
I imagine that the 13 lights mentioned by this darkness were the rest of the wielders who were still alive, his light included, since there are 7 in each group, both Xenahort's and the upperclassmen, but then again by that point the other three from the upper classmen had died aswell, so 13 lights..., I wonder what that means.....
It could be possible that it's reffering to both the 7 princesses of light and the 7 guardians of light, from which Hoder was one of them, as she was described as a pure heart, much like Eraqus(at least back then).
I read the blue Mr Robe guy as Brain on my playthrough. But as I think of the ending scenes of UX, it makes sense to be the player character of UX/missing link like you said. We were led to believe that the player character reincarnated into Xehanort. Nomura!

It also makes what Woody says to Xehanort in Toy Box just depressing because he HAD friends who cared about him and they're all dead.
So that's why Xehanort's hair is silver... it's a mixture of Ephemer's bloodline's white and Xehanort's mom's black.

The old man and xehanort are most likely pieces of the player character. Because remember, old man xeh does flat out say that he remembers union cross that he was our character. So, it could be possible that some way some how we get to return as our character somewhere down the line because this feels like a nobody situation.
