Thank you for sharing your joy playing through this masterpiece with us Roger! Truly an unbelievable achievement and experience on Switch and as you said, one of the best games ever made. Sending all the love.
When Ganondorf flurry rushed my flurry rush…only to meet a party from my Hylian shield…that’s when I knew this boss fight was the best in the series. Great video and reaction!
THE ENDING IS SO GOOD!! I still get chills and goosebumps every time I rewatch these scenes. I literally couldn’t stop crying when I got to the credits. Everything was perfect from the cutscenes to the visuals to the music, I love it all.
The fact that this game not only is one of my absolute most favorite game out there, but I love the fact that this game got a lot of fans together to enjoy this wonderful game
Was that not the best final boss fight EVER Rogers!? I loved this fight so much when I did it weeks ago! So much better than Breath of the Wild's Final boss!
He does hit back, actually! He only does one hit though, since Link is coded to have invincibility frames after getting hit once. It would be interesting if this coding was overridden for DLC, though, so Ganon could attack multiple times.
Your journey through this game really resonates with me. I love your appreciation of all the small details, from the small homages in the OSTs to just getting excited seeing all the sages together. Thanks for the awesome playthrough 😊 this game solidified itself as my #1 favorite game of all time.
Why is it that every time Roger gets to the end of a game he’s playing on stream, I want to tear up? Roger, thank you so so so so so much for another hype playthrough! You’re the best!
Because he let his feelings go. There are so many streamers or let's Players that look too criticall at EVERYTHING, letting their feelings really get kinda cold. I recognise this a lot lately. But Roger is one of the few who doesn't really let this through when playing a game.
With the secret ending I was like, 100% sure Mineru was going to pass on the Spirit Secret Stone and Sage duties to Purah. Like, why else was she there?
Why would the choice not be Link for that? I feel like Link earned a secret stone after beating the Demon King, the man who took on 6 stone wielders at once, Link not wielding one himself when he defeated him.
@@mogus96 isn’t that all the more reason he should have it? Why give it to someone weaker when you can give it to the unwavering hero of justice, to ensure he’s even more powerful and capable of protecting Hyrule?
I didn't have time to play as much Tears of the Kingdom, but I'm so happy I was able to experience some of the amazing story moments through your playthroughs!! Unsure where 3D Zelda will go from here, but the future is bright!!
Loved the journey you went on Roger, And i was glad to be apart of that journey in the streams, whether you knew i as there or not. I was apart of your audience every step of the way.
Honestly if Roger had fused the hoe to the mastersword and finished Dragon Ganon that way, it would’ve counted in my eyes lol. But that master torch kill was great too 😂 Great job!
Really glad I got to catch this live and see you experience the finale before I went to work. Came back here to the VOD to see your reaction to the post-credit scene. What a masterpiece this was.
Ganon dragon form reminds me of volvagia from ocarina of time, fire temple dragon boss. Literally is how I envisioned that dragon as a child! It was awesome!
Funny thing is he probably saved me I was not really prepared and was planning to just check out the final fight location but progressed too far only had 2 gloom recovering meals no cooking pots never upgraded my armor but spamming the Lynel bow plus the couple fairies I had saved me in this fight I also completely forgot about parrying somehow during my entire playthrough but I wasn't the best at it anyway
I'm convinced you need to replay Twilight Princess if you like this game so much, especially for the reasons you like it (atmosphere, soundtrack, scope, etc)
That’s exactly same reaction I and my gf had when we beat the game. then I’ve spent much more hours just to beat the “rest of” the game. And oh man the “rest of it” was not rest of it at all..!! now I completely forgot how good the story was and in complete awe to the endless interesting contents they put in the game… sheer madness…
this game is a masterpiece in programming, technically it shouldn't even work so flawlessly. Most ps5, pc xbox developers would have a very hard time making this work on thos platforms. this game will still be a marvel in programming in 50 years time.
Your videos are pretty cool, man. When I was playing BOTW regularly, I had a great time. I probably won't ever get to play it again, but hopefully I will get to do so. Keep doing your Nintendo thang and keep crushing it !!!!!!!🤘🙂🤘
Hi Roger, I love your reactions and commentary to this epic ending. The part where you pause the game when Zelda is falling is so funny, it’s the best and the worst, because it totally kills the flow of the scene, but I totally understand, the emotions were sky high and you couldn’t take it going up even further as you saw her falling and needed to catch her. 😂
Enjoyed catching these streams! I'd love if they could tackle digging and swimming/diving next. I loved swimming underwater in Twilight princess and I think the forest went underwater in skyward sword, and in both TOTK and BOTW swimming is not my fave. Also, the mole armor and statues kept making me think we were going to get to dig as well! I really think they could top it in those ways!
I think the closest thing to marrying the BoTW style and Traditional styles would be how Windwaker handled things. Still Open world-esq but also locked islands and locations behind items you would get in dungeons done in a specific order.
Bruh, when the sages started helping in the final fight, my first play though I thought they like, died, and their sage power/spirits were just manifesting to help lol
The dragons eyes are highly vulnerable to the master sword they take a few hits each and it won't break. Any arrow and other weapons used are basically a waste.
I still think OOT is the GOAT but this is definitely now in the second place perhaps time will tell if its truly the Greatest but I feel like it is a timeless classic for sure great job Nintendo
It was awesome all this video! I was excited and emotional too at the end of a game ❤ Zelda is GOTY This is the end but a little advice 😊, you can reflect Ganondorf’s magic, just do the spin attack and then the red magic balls become blue and attack him, I discover that by accident at the Edge of the end of the battle jajaja and you can combine light dragon’s horn with master sword so then in the balde will appear zonnan letters owo
Hi everyone, I hope you all are doing well 🙂. I know this is pretty random but its too bad that you didn’t do more of AOC's dlc. I definitely get it though the first round was kinda on the boring side. Though the second part was definitely more exciting and there were even 'behind the scenes' fights (like what happened in certain parts of the main story but we never got to see them), more cool/emotional cutscenes, more baby and big Sidon moments 😁🥰, etc. I know at this point though you probably won't do it since it was a couple years ago at this point though its fresh in my mind because I’ve been watching different reactions to a certain one of those fights. I mean maybe you did it on your own time which is obviously totally fine, though it'd be cool to see your reaction to them is all. If you did do it I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I also LOVE it when a game is a Warriors game because (not sure if I've mentioned this before (probably have because I like to talk about how I play like that 😅)) I love making up my own storylines and dialogue for characters and the more characters they make playable the better and easier to make my storylines become!
Great stream and great game. I didn't get the secret ending either until I saw you get it. Do you think that " A Link to the Past" a top 10 Nintendo game?
Because we played through that exact bit an hour earlier in the stream. Did you just skip to the end of the video to see the ending and not realize that was the SECOND time I beat the game during the same stream?
You should've perfect dodged demon king ganon. You would've experienced something really cool and got the most out of the fight. instead of parrying. U missed out on how cool the fight really was imo.
Dude this is hands down my favorite Zelda game ever. It's game of the year and it's not close. I thought maybe FF XVI would be a contender but was pretty disappointed by it so far. Spiderman 2 is the only other game this year that I think has a chance at beating it out.
Overall I 100% believe they're gonna make more zeldas in this style. It's way too good and sucessful to not be used ever again. I doubt it'd be the next game but it's gonna happen, like you said it'll kinda be split into two sects like with mario. They definitely can't bring back ganondorf in this story since he kinda got tactically nuked out of existance but I do hope they expand on somthing like the oceans and maybe exploring outside the bounds of hyrule? Maybe the way TOTK made it that Ganondorf was the one behind it all in BOTW, a third game could make it so that Demise was the one behind it all, and that’s who we face in the third game, with Hyrule turned into a dark realm. Little by little, we turn portions of the map back into the normal BOTW/TOTK Hyrule (with updated areas).
I can't wait to take him on myself. I'm currently only two temples in (Wind and Fire) and I'm working on increasing my hearts / stamina before going to the Water Temple. Seeing your reaction makes me want to get there as soon as possible.

Was it really because of that memory he did not get the ending at first? That is crazy how much you need to get it

That Zeldas lullaby mix into the main theme was so good. A few grown man tears were shed on my play through

I still cannot get over how cool that was!
Same here!
I'm something like 90% certain that on whatever hard-mode DLC they release for this, Ganondorf will actually hit back when he flurry rushes you...
Expecting Ganondorf to parry our attacks, use elemental attacks rather than just Gloom and *Auto-Build* 😅.
He does hit back, actually! He only does one hit though, since Link is coded to have invincibility frames after getting hit once. It would be interesting if this coding was overridden for DLC, though, so Ganon could attack multiple times.
3:02:33 Being completely honest, I was laughing hard when Roger realized he forgot the hoe 😂.
Haha yes and it happend twice
Hoe?? What was he trying to bring up?
@@Ridku13Yes. He wanted to use the hoe for the final blow.
Omg same. I was laughing so hard.

This is one of the most epic ends to a game that I've ever seen. Beyond perfect in every facet.
Also a great beginning that hype me up
I totally agree with you!!
To think the torch you find in Gloom's Lair is the one Zelda carries in the intro... Just amazing attention to detail right there!! 🤯🤯🤯

So badass when Ganondorf pushes all the sages back so it’s just a 1v1 with Link

I am stunned that he didn’t even _think_ that the Master Sword might have fusion mechanics, or even was _designed for that_ in this game.
That lynel was basically coldly stating, "The potshots will continue until a spine is grown." XD
The fact you’re only dodging Ganondorf’s attacks half of the time gave me anxiety!
"Half the time" is being generous. Dude was basically face tanking 😂
Yeah feels mean to say but man this was awful gameplay.
So since Purah was up there with them, does that make miss “I figured out functional immortality” the new Sage of Spirit?
Roger going crazy at 2:39:46 after parrying that attack is killing me 🤣
W that was absolutely amazing, kinda sad now lol
Apparently Zelda’s Diary in Japanese described the Hateno House as “our house” instead of “my house”. Fun food for thought.
Which makes it even more strange that nobody seems to recognize Link, save for a few characters

A TRULY PHENOMENAL GAME FROM START TO FINISH!
Man just walks up and keeps swinging even though it's not doing anything, I expect this gameplay from Egoraptor.
It's amazing that it took until almost 3rd phase for the flurry rush to happen, considering he can do it in the first phase as well.
