An excellent review of the basics of a good golf set up Brian! There is something for everyone in this video. I know that I have been working on arm position and you have shown me where I am going wrong. I am elevating the butt end of the club up above my belt buckle rather than below. This is probably being caused by my gripping the handle too much toward the butt end thus leading to mishits. Always learning from your videos Brian. You continue to be my "go to guy" when I'm having an issue with my golf game.

Thank you John. That is high praise indeed.
This one is one of my older videos but everything is still current.
I am always blown away by people telling me how my videos have helped them. I do love helping people and it is why I started doing videos in the first place.
You are striving to get better and it sounds like you are doing a great job.
      Have a great weekend.
      Brian

You spend half your time learning the basics and then the other half forgetting them.
      Stay well.

    Dear Brian Greetings.
Any advice for feet angle? Whether we need to open our feet from the shoulder line towards leading or trailing side. Thanks for supporting us.

I believe the feet and shoulders should be parallel with each other. They can both be open or closed but should remain parallel with each other.
I hope you find that useful.

I have not made a video on that subject.
Without seeing what you do it is hard to make specific suggestions. That is why I started my membership program. Where we work together on different aspects of your game via video.

I would be focusing on things like hitting more greens in regulation by hitting one more club than you think.
Try and reduce your penalty shots.
Aim at less flag sticks and go for the middle of the green.
Work on your putting distance control (have less 3 putts)
Work on your chipping landing zones and club selection.
That would be a great start.

If we use clubs with a lot of offset, wont we necessarily have to have the hands relatively forward of the ball at set up?

    • @fitzygolfpro
      @fitzygolfpro  2 года назад +1

In theory yes. But in reality no.
It just depends on the individual and what their set up looks like over the ball.
When I make a video I am being very broad and general.
When I coach I make decisions about what my client looks like.
      I hope that helps.

    Some great tips Brian.
    Did you enjoy your football?

David Leigh Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed it. I have been having fu learning some new editing skills along the way.
Thanks for asking. We had a great night at the footy. My team won. We sat next to a couple of guys from Leeds who loved the game.
They couldn’t believe there was no segregation of supporters.
      Great night really.
Enjoy your game of golf this week.

fitzygolfpro well to be honest I used to watch his fishing shows and he was always talking about his footy days.I believe he went on to be a commentator.
I seem to have one of those brains that retains factual information.
You never know when you might need it !
      Regards Dave

Well done David. Do you kiss fish as well?
Rex is a legend in Melbourne. He played for Richmond in the glory days and was a pretty fair player. He had a long commentating career and had a very unique style of calling games. Thank you mother for the rabbits was one of his sayings when a player kicked an easy goal.
He was forced into retirement last year after his radio station went for a younger team.
It seems we have similar brains. I collect snipits of information (un-intentionally) and it comes in handy when I least expect it.
