    John here ! My session this week with Danny was brilliant - his generosity in giving us this quality of teaching every week is peerless. Amid all the noise about growing the game, his contribution is uttterly authentic and constant. He might well be the hardest working man in the wonderful world of golf ! Thanks Danny and team.

I have never even once thought about this principle and can’t wait to practice this on the range then play a round to see this difference. Super excited. This shows the correct direction of the swing with the arms and club. I now will be more confident to hit draws. This instruction will help me to trust the feeling of hitting the ball to the right on the downswing which for many golfers just doesn’t feel right!

You must have somewhere to go today because I usually don't get your video until three in the morning my time & I'm not complaining by any means because now I'll be able to get a lot of sleep. I'm not just saying this to be a brown noser but you are by far the best instructor on the innerweb. Thanks for all you do for us because for me you have taken a golf hitter in the hundreds to a sometimes good golfer who scores into the mid eighty's constantly. We have done this in the last 3 years which might not seem too big a deal but I only have 1 left hand & a thumb and index finger on my right-handed swing. So thanks again for all your help and have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Good Morning now Danny as it's hard to type with 1 hand also !!!

    As always, thank you very much for the excellent video and instruction.
    We don’t generally hear in classic golf swing instruction to close the clubface a little bit at set up. I BELIEVE we were left to assume somehow that the clubface would close (magically) with a correct and awesome turn with the hips in a proper downswing . And, of course, I could never achieve this so I pushed and faded almost everything all the time. So what did I do? I aimed more left. 😂
    Of course, I’ve seen many club players close their club faces in their set ups before in an EXTREME manner and always thought that looked really hokey and, quite frankly, ugly for a set up. And, oddly enough, many times it seemed to work for them. When I’ve closely watched Tour players, it doesn’t seem like you see them closing their clubfaces much but maybe it’s just difficult to catch on tv.
    But I’m excited to try this. Thanks so much.

      @DanielMaude  Месяц назад

    Thank you Danny the GOAT! Would love to see these ideas applied to the hybrid. Seems like everyone I know, including me, fights the pull hook with these clubs. I don’t usually blame the club, but I hit every other club in the bag either straight or with a slight draw most of the time. Really struggling with aligning and/or getting the grip in a neutral position with the hybrid so the face doesn’t snap shut at impact.

    Excellent video as always but can you explain how to hit a fade using the exact same set up and swing arc principle. The arc makes perfect sense to me for a slight draw but not for a fade. Thanks 🙏

      @DanielMaude  Месяц назад

      Absolutely Steven, simply shift the whole thing slightly left of target, sit the club slightly open to the path and hey presto you have a fade

    Hello Danny
    To follow the hand path in the DS it is necessary to push firmly at the beginning of the DS the upper part of the lead arm against the thorax ; this will close the club head ?What do you think ?

    • @DanielMaude
      @DanielMaude  Месяц назад

      The key for most players is to leave the upper centre (upper dot) intact while pushing your hips towards the target. The more you get the hips towards the target the more likely you are to path through club to the right

    Danny, this grid makes me so happy. This is the basic concept of stack y’all and tilt which I feel is the only way to swing a club for us ammeters. It makes the swing so much easier.

    Wow, Dan this is a great visual 💡 I myself have managed to figure out my own golf game and subsequently play some decent stuff, however, I have a friend who has asked for my help on his game and this drill/setup is unbelievable… A driver version of this would be perfect if you can. Separate to all this, keep up the great work pal you really are helping people with their games.

    Hi Danny, realising the center of the swing is in my left shoulder has been a game changer for me and I also imagine the target line is in front of my left foot rather than through the ball. Would you say the hands and arms after striking the ball are a mirror image of the back swing please? Best Steve ❤👍🏻

    • @DanielMaude
      @DanielMaude  Месяц назад +2

      I would say very similar although there is going to be a lot of force place on the from the speed the club comes through.
      So there will be a difference purely caused by the difference in the speed of both

    Hey Danny, I’ve been taking golf seriously for the past few months now. Ball striking is my biggest flaw right now and I think my backswing has something to do with it. During my backswing, my head dips down towards the ball causing me to come a bit more over the top; do you have any tips or drills I could do to fix this?

  • @stratovani

    Excellent video, Danny! For me this helps to explain why Jack Nicklaus and Ben Hogan always kept one ball position, just off their left heel.

    It's got to be the way you explain the concepts that give me the "AHA" moment in grasping the technique. I've actually seen the same thing, with the floor diagram shown in the "Stack and Tilt" golf swing videos, but it wasn't until I saw you explain the swing arc, that the light bulb moment occurred.
    Now, I can't wait to hit the range and try it!
    Thanks, Danny! 👍🏽😄

    Hi Danny. Thanks for this video. How do you hit a fade with this setup? I tried opening the face a bit with disastrous results. The strike is also weak compared to when the club face is turned in.

    • @DanielMaude
      @DanielMaude  Месяц назад

      Great question, you take the whole structure on the ground aim it left slightly and open the club face slightly. In effect you are creating a pull fade

    Hi Danny, I've been aiming for the ball to go straight with neither draws or slices. I've managed to get quite consistent at that for now... Should i instead aim for a draw like you demonstrated?

    • @DanielMaude
      @DanielMaude  29 дней назад

      Not necessarily, you just need to understand what and how shot shapes are created. In this video I share the science.
      To hit a ball straight you could either shift this whole structure and aim it slightly left or simply have a swing that swings more left and this will cancel out the ball position

    Dan, a quick question, if the lowest point is below your left armpit and the ball position is 2 balls back and the path is therefore out to the right. If I setup with the face square to the target I have no need to adjust my grip for the draw as per your video. Is that correct. Thanks

    • @DanielMaude
      @DanielMaude  24 дня назад

      @@geoffparry4203 you will need to set up with the face slightly open to your target but closed to the club path
