I have the “Fan’s Choice” variant, and live it! I backed the Kickstarter for six figures at the time. I wish I could’ve done the same for the Ceratopsians, but I could only do four of those.
I got mine a year ago and wow, what a great figure! Sculpting, paint job... everything perfect! One issue I have is that he doesnt stand very stable on his base. But overall great figure!
Really great review. Thanks for talking about some of the issues (gap in claws, less useful clip because of feathery sculpt) as well as how great the toy is overall. I also appreciated the coverage of the art. Super helpful and you helped me figure out which Beasts Of fig I’m going to order today (and which I’m not). ✌🏾➕✊🏾
Great review! Despite the quality control issues I love this figure, and I can’t wait to get my hands on the ceratopsians. The Zuni and Regali are ones I am gonna get.
Nice, the Beast Of The Mesozoic 'Dromaeosaurus albertensis 2nd release' is definitely not my favorite out of the Raptor Series of the figures; But overall this feathered ground hawk is nor a boring figure or disappointing figure.
I think i liked the 1st released version better, but this one is still a smashing figure in a smashinger review. Really bummed i missed the monoclonius thooough
Okay.. I'm very disappointed in David... I bought the first release of this Raptor and it had some problems. the worst was probably the stand that holds it up. Honestly I would have just preferred a Figma styled stands with a peg hole underneath the Raptors stomach. I know he didn't want to ruin the sculpt, but it would have made posing much easier. Also it bothers me that the scruffy part of the neck doesn't move more. (actually mine doesn't move there, only the bottom neck piece moves) I'm just suprised the problems the first release had, didn't get fixed.. It's such a shame because just like you said in the beginning of this video. I also love the art for this Raptor it's beautiful, I love the idea of a Raptor in a Snowy environment. I even got the alternate version of this guy, because that looked cool too! also. that's weird. I never had a problem with the toe claws. Now that Mattel has released the Amber Collection Raptor figure, it really shows the benefit of a plug in stand.
I got awesome news Dude, I just bought the Mattel's Brachiosaurus from Mattel at Target last week as my final birthday gift.
That's awesome Kevin! Happy Birthday!

Such a very beautful figure though my main favorite dromaesaur in the series is ether the velociraptor version 1,Baluar and linheraptor.

An awesome review but can you review another raptor or a playset
What are the changes on 1st and 2nd release?
I think i liked the 1st released version better, but this one is still a smashing figure in a smashinger review. Really bummed i missed the monoclonius thooough
