- Figured it was a good time to go back and look at one of the #Raptor figures since the Kickstarter for the next series of #Botm is going on. This #Dromaeosaurus is one of my favorites from the series. Love the natural looking color scheme!! The articulation is a great feature which is something you don’t see on many dinosaur figures.

I have the “Fan’s Choice” version of this one, and it’s gorgeous! I have all but the velociraptor in storage until I can get more shelf space. I cannot wait for the Ceratopsians to start shipping next year. I’m afraid most of the figures won’t get unlocked. There doesn’t seem to be as much interest in the ceratopsians. I think the higher prices are scaring some people off.
I think the time of year is also the problem. Getting close to the holiday buying season and they cut heavily into a shopping budget.

If David doesn’t make an Appalachiosaurus for the Tyrannosaur line, I won’t be very happy. Love this figure, along with all the other raptors. When the ceratopsians release, I will probably pick up a few dromeas and ceras.
I would be shocked if Appalachiosaurus wasn’t included. Especially with the huge variety of species in the ceratopsian campaign. I just hope he doesn’t scale back the amount of species depending on how the ceratopsian campaign ends.
Nice review as always buddy. I have the regular Pyroraptor, Zhenyuanlong, and the grey Nestling set (they work well as Zhenyuanlong chicks) and I love them all. I've been considering one of the Dromaeosaurus figures in the future, not sure which prefer because I like them both, leaning towards the fan choice because I see a lot of American kestrels out where I live. Nice raptor claw replicas too!
Looks like the Ceratopsian Kickstarter is unfortunately probably only going to get through the wave 1 figures for funding at this point. A little disappointing as I really wanted some of the wave 2 figures that really haven't been made before like Centrosaurus, Spiclypeus, Avaceratops, and Kosmoceratops. David has said he hopes to make all of them eventually including the wave 3 ones too so we'll see I guess. I'm in for 5 figures at this point though.
I hope there’s a big jump near the end. Really want the psittacosaurus. And that torosaurus is the one I want the most lol. Figures it’s the last stretch goal. Well I’m happy at least few will be made. I think the ceratopsian series looks better than the raptor.
@@DinoScreamReviews Agreed, I like the Ceratopsians better than the raptors for two reasons really: more obvious variety than the raptors and the fact they won't need stands. Don't get me wrong the raptors do have their differences (just in my two, Zhenyuanlong's wings are MUCH larger than Pyroraptor's as reflected in the Zhenyuanlong fossil, etc etc) but you can really tell the differences in the ceratopsians. And while the stands are fantastically done and I appreciate the smaller feet for accuracy, sometimes they can be a pain to get posed as you know. Even though I probably wouldn't have gotten it at its price (which I do think is fair) I really like that Torosaurus' color as well and I was really looking forward to the Penta and Utahceratops from that wave too. I'll probably add the Psittacosaurus to my pledge if it gets unlocked, it does go with my Zhenyuanlong as a contemporary, but I didn't have a ton of interest in the Protoceratops since I don't have any of the BOTM Velociraptors. Still a great looking prototype though.
I’m a sucker for blue on a dinosaur lol. Yeah I feel the same about the protoceratops. Same I don’t have any botm velociraptors. Only have FC Pyroraptor, Dromaeosaurus, and both saurornthos.
Thanks for the review. I was thinking about getting myself some of these raptors for a long time now. I was also there since the beginning when this line was announced and loved the idea from the start, but the opportunity never came for me to get one. Now I think I will start with the Pyroraptor. According to the quiz David Silva created for this line, that's the raptor that represents me the most. Also you got a load of fossils there. That's great!
I ended up getting for of them from this series. I do have the fans choice pyroraptor. Actually did a review on it when I first started the channel. It’s a great figure!!
The original Pyroraptor is one of the two I have and it's a great coloration as well. I love the wedge-tailed eagle color choice.

They are casts/replicas from the originals.
Can I substitute this as a Dakotaraptor and get away with it?
