I got question, Dan. Um, Where can I buy these things ? I mean, are they going to release the fully painted ones in Amazon or something like that. I just wanted to buy three Velociraptors with 3 different colour schemes
You can pre-order them from BBTS or the kickstarter link in the description. There is also the site Everything Dinosaur for Europeans that will stock them after they release, though they have no pre-order option.
As far as I know, EverythingDinosaur.co.uk is the only european site that will stock them. Though I know BigBadToyStore does ship world wide (even if it is more expensive)
Knowing that they were warmblooded predators actually makes them a lot more scary. Feathers prove that as warm blooded animals require insulation to retain body heat. it makes for a far more active predator. but it also means they have to eat a lot!
Just an FYI, the raptors are 1/6th scale, so they scale with Hot Toys and 12 inch figures. Not the 6 inch figures. But great review! Very glad I backed this Kickstarter!
Hi, The figures are 1/6, not 6 inch. They do look cool with 6 inch figures to have the size of a Jurassic Park Velociraptor, but David Silva made them size accurate in 1/6 scale which would be large turkey. I am going to pose them with 6 inch figures too in some displays by the way ;) Also, I think the tail is wired for articulation. Can you check? I bought the whole line on kickstarter and I think 2 of these to combine and paint with my 2 boys :) Have a good one, Johan

I'm saying that nobody knew that dinosaurs had feathers when the Stan Winston models were made. Also, I forgot to mention that none of the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park weren't going to be accurate in the first place. The scientists filled in the gaps of DNA with that of frogs.
I'm not a build-it-yourself kind of person, so I am waiting for the painted versions of the raptors to come out. Already have three raptors pre-ordered. Nice video!

I have the Acheroraptor and Adasaurus coming early next week. If I really like them I’ll get the Fans Choice Dromeosaurus, Linheraptor and Pyroraptor. I’d rather have the Velociraptor, but it’s out of stock everywhere.
Wow! These look awesome! I could totally see this being posed next to MOTU figures or even Mythic Legions. Heck you could even use them with the 3.75 inch figures as steeds. Been looking at this line for while but wanted to see some actual in-hand shots before I pulled the trigger so I'm think I'm definitely down for a couple. Great review Dan, Happy New Year!

Next year's the 20th anniversary of Walking With Dinosaurs. I hope a company makes figures of the dinosaurs in the show like the Beasts Of the Mesozoic figures.
I think they are a little bit lacking in feathers still, they look a bit skinny (the shape of the pubic bone is a bit too obvious in my opinion) , but they are still absolutely gorgeous, i actually backed this project and i can't wait to get the entire set in the mail. However i would like to correct you on the fact that the figure is not supposed to be a life size raptor compared to a 6 inches figure, the raptors of the entire range would be much smaller than this compared to a person, about the size of a dog at best. I think what the creator meant to do was to have them be about the size of a jp raptor compared to 6 inches figures, or maybe you got mistaken in the scale and so did i.
No, you're right. At 1/6 scale, these raptors are "life-sized" compared to 12 inch figures, JP raptor size to 6 inch (1/12th scale) figures, and Utahraptor/Dakotaraptor size to 4 inch (1/18th scale) figures.

Grim Reaper yeah true, but they have been sculpted to look accurate to the smaller raptors, with a lot of attention paid. It seems almost disrespectful to say they're something else
Hello, I am four years from the future, there are nestlings now which are pretty much the adults just sized down, (besides for the larger eyes, larger feet, hands, etc) which you could pretend are full grown.

However, this kit is unpainted because it's for people who want to build and paint their own version! I'm a kickstarter backer and I ordered several of the painted figured and one of the build-a-raptor kits so I could paint one to look like one of my characters. I look forward to it, should be fun!
i'd buy these in a second to go with my Papo collection of there was an opyion WITHOUT FEATHERS. i get it but i dont like how thry look with them vs without
Jeff Taz I don't like featherless inaccurate raptors because they just look naked and ugly. Also, feathered raptors are the accurate versions, so I suggest you accept a true fact of science.
It's 2018, grow up and stop ruining Facts for everyone else. If you want no feathers, get yourself a lizard. People like you are the reason why so many people don't know anything about what dinosaurs truly were, and still are, as well as why the jp franchise has become awful after the first film.
