  • Hey guys, I hope you enjoyed this video. This one was a real tough one, and I assure you that from here over to the next batch of videos I'll be making, it's not gonna get any easier, but I'm willing to do it since I both enjoy doing these things, and I want to give you guys what I have, and this is the outcome. Once again, I have to thank ‪@dogasaurus_rex‬ for teaching me the basics of stop motion and the locomotion for both bipeds and quadrupeds. Make sure to subscribe to him, he does some incredible work with stop motion.

    This is a true work of art. I was expecting a very simple stop motion, nothing super fast like with the Velociraptor chasing the lizard. I probably couldn't even recreate the first Protoceratops scene. Very well done, and also you have a new subscriber!

    Omg I’m making a whole movie on these raptors. The stop motion is so good, and probably one of the best ones I’ve seen yet. I notice how you used some strands to prop up the dinosaurs. How do you do that? Because in my movie, I also plan on not using the base that the raptors come with as well.

    • @pugerrino2637
      @pugerrino2637  2 года назад +1

      The strands are nylon strings. They are wrapped around the figure and attached to a wooden plank up top and that allows me to easily manipulate the figures better than with traditional stands.

      Thanks a lot my guy, yeah, I feel like having no narration and letting the events speak for themselves doesn't just make it globally inclusive, but I like to think if it like a scene where there is no voice simply because we didn't even exist at the time. Thanks. I thought it would be fitting to have the music match the location and origins of what's being shown in the video. In my opinion it enhances a lot more its uniqueness and not just leaving it as some generic dinosaur content.

      Thanks, I got the velociraptor figure from Creative Beast Studios, specifically from its BoTM (Beasts of The Mesozoic) line which makes scientifically accurate articulated dinosaur figures. This video took me about 3 weeks to make, although I could've finished it in a shorter amount of time if I had more free time.

    Great stop motion! I was wondering what sounds you used for both of your figures. Did you sample them from a video or film? Also, any tips on making a diorama for dinosaurs similar to yours? I bought a botm alectrosaurus and zuniceratops in mind for stop motion. Any tips and tricks for stop motion and building a background/setting? Thanks!

    Just curious how long did this take to make?

    • @pugerrino2637
      @pugerrino2637  2 года назад

      Well, I'm not sure how to put it since I had a few variables that made the process longer. I started making the sound design and plot for the video while I was on vacation in Canada, I stayed there for a month and after I returned, I began to do the actual stop motion, I got to work and complete 1-2 scenes every day since I had to work in the morning and stopped at 4:00pm, which gave me a few hours to work on the stop motion in the afternoon to the evening. It took me about 3 week in total to do the stop motion after I came back from Canada. But if it weren't for those things, I would've finished sooner.
