I think the last picture with the statice in the blue milk is pretty, but either of the statice pictures really..This is something I never would have thought of trying, thank you for some winter inspiration.

When you started to pour the milk into the water I saw cloud formations. So if one used blue paper for a background you could use for a sky scene. thank you for the idea and th video!
Prachtig An. En eindelijk eens ‘live’ :) prachtig idee en heel mooie foto’s. Eerst dacht ik dat je ook de beweging van de melkwolkjes ging fotograferen met een bloempje… ik vind he5 super dat je de takjes deels kan doen verdwijnen. Ooit heb eens een macroshot gezien waarbij ze zo’n pluisje van een paardenbloem op een gummetje vastzetten en dan onderdompelden in melk en zo reflectie Ed deden, vergelijkbaar met jouw project. Dank je! Ja daar heb ik wel aan gedacht om de melk wolken vast te leggen, maar ik dacht, dat is wellicht iets voor een andere keer. Ik weet wat voor soort foto je bedoelt, en dat heb ik ook eens gedaan! Als je héél ver naar beneden scrolt (ongeveer anderhalf jaar terug) op mijn Instagram feed kun je de foto wellicht nog vinden. Ik heb wel eens gedacht daar ook een video over te maken, maar aan de andere kant zijn daar al zoveel video’s van dat ik twijfel of het wel een toegevoegde waarde heeft als ik dat ook ga doen. Weer aan de andere kant heeft iedereen z’n eigen werkwijze en stijl. Dus wellicht nog iets om over na te denken om te doen in de toekomst. In elk geval wordt mijn volgende video eentje over een nieuwe tekening voor mijn studio. Bedankt voor het kijken en je reactie! Groetjes Anne
That looks like a fun project to play with. I think I like the orange physalis with the blue background the best. I think I might play with the fluid levels too and then blend the layers to see if that created even more depth. (But that will have to wait because the gardens are still under a few inches of snow and ice. LOL) Oh, and look at you, from anonymous text to voice over to on camera! Good for you!
Thanks! Yes it was really fun to play with. A little bit messy, but it’s worth it. Playing with different levels of fluid sounds like a great plan! We have a snowless winter over here, I’ve planted daffodils and other flowers during autumn, they should come up in spring, but they’re already blooming! The only reason I’m on camera now is because people requested spoken tutorials. I’m incredibly shy and it still feels really uncomfortable, but I’m sure I get used to it over time, if I don’t scare to much people away 😅 Thanks for watching and leaving a kind comment!

Thank you Paula! I normally turn off all the overhead lights in my room. You can do this with normal window light. It’s a good thing to have soft even lighting so it doesn’t create hard shadows. To eliminate reflections, sometimes it helps to change the position of the bowl or your own position. What also helps is to use flags (something simple as a piece of cardboard to block the thing that reflects in the milk). If that doesn’t help enough, you can retouch some reflections in post production. I hope that helps!
