    I love this Idea of coming out of the dark. Can I ask you for your help. When I move the exposure slide to the left in lightroom instead of it getting darker it starts to turn a bright blue can you tell me if I have a setting wrong Thanks

    • @VisualArtPhotography
      @VisualArtPhotography  3 года назад

      Hi Donna. Not sure what is going on here but try moving the shadow slider to the left.

    Ray,
    Great tutorial as usual. I like to do the same thing with a lot of my flower shots. It really adds a lot of drama to them and accentuates the primary area of focus. I also like to use the adjustment brush and color picker in Lightroom to sometimes change the color of the flower. It would be great to see you do a few tutorials on some of your Lightroom techniques.

      Hi Roger. Thank you and your techniques sound interesting. Although the channel is primarily targeted at photography Ideas and inspiration, in the future, I will be rolling out a few processing ideas that require certain softwares. Have a nice weekend.

    Hi Ray Nice idea, this is a different way of highlighting flowers, darkening the bottom section etc,also adjusting the stops to create the the end result, I do not own a large lamp but I will try with my pre Round Flash,to through the light.

    The last two flowers are unbelievable stunning, but I most say I am jealous of your pictures you made them sounds easy but impossible to reproduce or to come close to the same result... Anyways good work as always. I enjoy your channel keep them coming.

    • @VisualArtPhotography
      @VisualArtPhotography  6 лет назад

      Thanks very much Rick. Please believe me when I say it’s not that difficult and very easy to reproduce. You do have to experiment a lot to find out what works as there are always variables but you will have success if you give it a good honest try. The one shot that I talk about the spotlight effect is a little different but I will be showing that technique in another video later on so if you’re interested, be on the lookout for that. Rick, thanks so much for watching and good luck with your next photography project.
