    I’m so happy I found your channel. How inspiring! And even if I know a thing or two from before, I don’t mind listening! I have had a few years with no photography but started again now and I have fallen for close up photography. I have a Canon EF 100mm f2.8 Macro, but in a few days I’m getting my Canon EF 100mm f2.8 L IS USM and can’t wait! I will have so much fun with that and a set of extension rings! When I have rough days because of illness/disability, this is so great as I can do so much indoors as well! Anyways, thanks sooooo much for lots of great videos!!! Hope you’re having good days!!! ❤❤❤

      Hi my friend I am so glad you have fallen for close up photography. Just because something we can’t get out side it doesn’t mean we can’t still have fun and enjoy our photography. Doing close up creative photography for me opens up a new world and let’s me think out side the box. This helps me with my mental health and takes me away from everything that is happening around me. Don’t be afraid to try new thing as some of my best shots have came from mistakes.
      Extension tubes really does open up a new world it is amazing to think by putting them on you get a totality different look to your picture. Some times people don’t believe what they are seeing trust me you have chosen a fantastic style of photography and it really is one you will want to do day after day my friend.
      And like I said feel free to ask any questions and if I can help I will definitely do

    Hi Lee. There's an old saying that ties in with what you were saying.. "Of course I don't look busy! I did it right the first time!" LOL I couldn't agree more. If you spend the time getting it right in camera, it can save you an awful lot of time (and money) editing in Lightroom or Photoshop or whatever. Personally I don't have either. I think they're a rip off! I've just got the free editing software that came with the PC. Thanks for your video.

    Hi im one of those landscape photographers that are now running to macro was reccomended to watch you and how fab. Love your style and easy to do and make things. I did the dandelion today. Question. I have a Nikon Z6 and a sigma 105 macro now im finding im really having to crop even though im at my minimum focus distance, would extension tubes help to reduce this or am I barking up the wrong tree. 🤔

      Hello my friend extension tubes will help my friend i first started off doing macro photography with extension tubes. I have put them on my 150-600mm lenses and taken pictures of butterflies and bugs.

    Hi Lee, Bumped into your channel to learn macro photography. Very impressed with the uncomplicated explanations. Have you tried using tin foil what you can buy in the baking section in the supermarkets. It makes great reflectors / snoods as it can be bent or wrinkled into any shape you want. Keep up the good work

    Going to give it a whirl Lee so thanks for sharing. Can you remind me of the name of the landscape photographer that you recommended please ? My wife thought i had developed an interest in the Greek philosopher Plato and asked what that had to do with photography ? "No" i said,"i've ordered some playdough for me daisies,petal" ! Hey Lee.....is it best to use filters to get the colours when you take the shot or better to use photoshop to adjust the colours after the shot is taken?

    • @LeeHallphotography
      @LeeHallphotography  3 года назад

      Hi mate I try to use the filters first to get as much colour as I can before putting it into Photoshop this way you can just push the vibearance up. 👍📸👌
