Crochet Knit-look Cardigan Tutorial

- Hi guys! I am so so proud to show you how I made this basic cardigan using my favorite stitch! It is oversized, super warm and comfy! This is made to measure so you can adjust it according to your own size.
I forgot to mention:
The yellow hook I used is 6mm. Yarn is medium weight acrylic. I used about 5.5 skeins of 200g. I had enough left to make a matching beanie with the same pattern.

As a beginner, when I saw chain 90 at the beginning, my jaw dropped 😭 I have never done a pattern with such a big start! I definitely want to try this but maybe when I get a little better 😅
fighting bro
@@riinee6809 same to you 😌✨
ive been crocheting almost 2 years... projects that call for over 100 chains, noo thank u😅😂but i believe u can do it!!
Try a sample square project. There’s tons of designs where you do one square at a time to learn a new stitch for each small square and then put them together. It’s not so overwhelming and you learn so much. That’s what helped me the most to up my crocheting.
Don’t worry about it being perfect. Just have fun.
I'm a beginner and in my second attempt I did a project with 125 chains so it's not that hard it's just takes time so someone with little patience might not commit to finish the work when it's too long
I started crocheting 2 months ago, I thought this would be too much or too complicated, but I just finished this one after one month, it could’ve been done earlier but I was a bit burned out. I had some struggles but it turned out perfect 🥰
Thank you for sharing such a lovely pattern and detailed tutorial! Definitely putting this on my list to crochet next. I'm excited for the final result!
I'm an absolute beginner when it comes to crocheting but I'm saving this for when I get better at it because this cardigan is so pretty! ❤
Thank you so much! I can't wait for you to get started and have fun! 🥰
i am working on it rn and did 90 chains and its relatively short on me, though i do have a long torso, it goes up to my hips, so if you're tall or have a long torso i suggest doing 100 chains instead of 90 (for reference im 5'4.5 and have a torso length of 22 inches while the average for females is 16.5-19") so hope this is helpful
thank you so much, I'm wondering if I should have more chains because I use a 4,5mm hook and I am tall, 90 chains aren't as long as I expect, maybe I should do 110 chains
This is amazing, I needed this for Winter on our side❤it goes with many of my outfits 😊
Yay! Perfect timing! 🥰
The way you attached the front panels to the back is PURE GENIUS!! I wanna make this!! Or a version of this. Without the collar. Thank you so much for this video
Thank you! Have fun crocheting!
Thank you sooo much😭 ive been looking for this kind of cardigan and i finally found it ❤
Love this! Actually making it for my father for Father’s Day, the technique is SO pretty! And the pattern is simple enough that I feel like I can straighten out the sleeves and just add some overall length while still following along just fine. It’s actually a very similar size considering his will be more fitted! Thank you!!
The yarn over slip stitch is so beautiful! You blew my mind.
Thank you so much! 🥰
I like the feeling as if I was experimenting with you. I was so involved. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! I hope to eventually make all my videos like this 🥰
Ur pattern completely makes sense 😍 i love how you explained it, with every single point, can't wait to apply it , cause l really like it ❤
So so glad to hear this! ☺️
YOU ARE SO GOOD AT THIS OMG. Your understanding of crochet is at an INSANE level. We have to stan.
Aww thanks so much!! Hope explaining it this way helps you guys understand it better too!
Thanks for sharing. I was looking for a stich that will look nice and simple with black yarn. I like the way you joined the front and back panels!
And I would like to share a tip with you too, There's a way called (short-row) will be a good method for the ribbing edge as well.
This is such a cute cardigan! I can’t wait to try this pattern.
Thank you! 😊
Thank you so much ❤
great tutorial! for me as a beginner everything was clear.
You’re welcome! I’m so glad 🥰
I'm wanting to make me and my mom matching cardigans as well as a ton of other crochet stuff for my family for Christmas. Im starting now and I know my mom will love the style of the cardigan
I think I'll do the ribbing separate so I can do a different color and to ensure the cardigan is secure
Hey!! how's the crocheting going? I'm a total beginner so do u think this easy enough to start with?
Thank you as a beginner i am so greatful that your video has been so helpful thank you so much❤❤❤❤ keep going❤
Thank you so much for the support! 🥰
love it so much!
Thank you! ☺️

Super ❤️ thank you 🙏
You’re welcome 😊
So easy yo follow.. thank you🎉😊
You’re welcome 😊
As a beginner who decided to do this, I am crying
No why 😭😭 I’m thinking of starting this as my next project
Did you complete it yet ?
Me too! I've only ever really made a blanket before😭
This is really AMAZING ✨😍 can i do this cardigan with the same stitch with a 7mm hook and a thicker yarn?
Thank you! ☺️ Yes, this stitch works well with yarns of different weights.
go on🥺🖤
Hi. Can you do a tutorial for a small size for us please ❤
For least amount of seams I go with the "U" as base - back and 2 front sides. Connect them leaving openings for arms. Then use the existing side stitches to start and finish the arms. This way the only seams you have are the ones running from your armpits to hips.
Super👍👍👍😀
Thank you!
Supper underrated
Appreciate that 💕
I start with a lot of scare, I've never done such a big crochet
Wish me luck😅
Hey! Love this cardigan so far. Mine is super wonky but hoping it’ll straighten out once I block it!😂 How far apart did you do the buttons on your cardigan? I’m unsure where to place them :) x
Hi! Thanks! I spaced out the buttons by 5 inches each 😊
Hey hope you’re doing good
Quick question if I wanna make this into a sweater(no buttons), will it work if I make two back panels and just connect those two together?
Hi! Thanks! Two back panels wouldn't work unfortunately because you need to leave a neck hole on the front panel.
Bellissimo ❤
Grazie mille 😊
I just wanna ask after you did two types of stitches which one would give us the result at the end that shows only one stitche .
Hello. I really like this design. Is it size inclusive
💗
Hello, I'm a beginner and I'm planning on making a crochet cardigan may i ask how many balls of yarn you used?
Hi! Of course! I used about 1100 g of yarn. That's 5.5 skeins of the yarn I used (200 per skein).
I am working on this cardigan, and it is amazing. But I just realize it is not as soft as I saw from the video. I used the same yarn and crochet hook, so I am confused. And I noticed that you soften it at the very end. Can I know what type of product did you use?
It's a wool wash. I used it in the video where I tried blocking the first time 😊
what if i want to do wool/linen/cotton blend skein should I increase the chains( well everything)or keep everything as directed?
The material doesn't matter as much as the weight of yarn. If it's thinner than mine, then 90 chains will be shorter than me, and vice versa. It's really up to you depending on how long you want the cardigan to be.
i'm doing this one right now and i will use it for my daily school days because our rooms are air-conditioned. i worry a little bit that it will be too big on me T-T but i like oversized ones though
how's it going? do you think a beginner like me could do that as well? how long did it take you?
Wow so beautiful how long dose it takes to make ?
Thank you! It took me almost two weeks I think.
Hello! I hope you are doing fine 🫶🏻 I have a question, what temprature is right for blocking? I’ve never done it so I don’t know if I should use hot or cold water
Thanks in advance! ❤
Hi! Thank you! Lukewarm water is good for blocking 🥰 This might help ruclips.net/video/tpehb3FrhCQ/видео.html
What yarn weight and hook size did you use?
Crochet or knitting which one is better for a jacket?
Depends on what you want, crochet is thicker, heavier and less stretchy
Hi guys anyone from the uk made this yet . What yarn did you use . I am from the uk and want to make this but struggling to find the correct yarn . The yarn used in the video is medium weight acrylic but it looks quite chunky and the medium weight i am finding looks thinnner than the one in the video.
Same issue here, I’m not from the UK but Im also using yarn that’s medium weight. I just used a 5.00mm hook instead of the 6.00mm she uses in the video. I also increased the number of chains and stitches in certain parts to achieve the fit I wanted. Hope this helps!
Do u think if i use “45% acrylic 55% cotton” type of yarn, will look good?
Hope i will hear from u soon 💕
Yes, I think it'll look fine 😊
Ummm another question when you start the back panel is a stitch skipped or not?
Is it 5.5mm? And what kind of thread?
hello! i'm starting this project with two different colored yarns. i wanted the ribbing to be blue while the main piece is beige. does anyone have any tips on how to make the ribbing and main piece different colors??
Uhh I guess just do it separately and see it together later??
I'm thinking about doing that too. What I'm thinking is, 1) you can be the chain first, then when you get to the last 10 for the ribbing, change colors ( form a loop with the blue yarn, pull it through the last 2 loops of the baige) and then just keep going back and forth, picking up and dropping the color. OR 2) chain 10 blue, pull through a loop of beige on chain 10, then just keep chaining 80+ chains of beige and keep switching colors like that.. if that makes sense
What is the crochet number? Very nice I liked it very much.
how long did it take to do this? asking everyone who have used this pattern. look’s beautiful!
Took me about a month :,)
One week for me
how long did it take to make it?
What wool do you use and how much do you crochet?
The yarn is called 4 Seasons Spot Saver USA. It's medium weight acrylic. I used about 1100g.
Hello i want to ask is this stitch call knit-like stitch
do yall think i can do this with mohair yarn?
Is it okay if I customize it? 100 rows seems too big for me
Sure, you can adjust the panels' stitch number and row count. It doesn't affect other things like the ribbing and cuffs .
Can l use milk cotton yarn instead?
Of course! 💕
Doesnt the pattern of the V on the back become upside down? Ive twisted and turned while making the front panel but it becomes upside down while the front is correct
Is that correct? 😅
Yeah, I remember noticing that but I didn't see it as a problem. I'm pretty sure the only way to fix that is by placing the ribbing on the other end of the panel.
What type of yarn you use? How many meters and grams in one yarn?
The yarn is medium weight acrylic. 200g/312m per skein and I used about 5.5 skeins.
Soooooo bretty ... plz can u tell me What type of yarn u used ??
Thank you! 🥰 It's a medium weight acrylic yarn.
how much yarn u used??????
@thowibaalbagir1290 I think its in the description.
@@CherilynQ
Sorry i didn't notice ... thank u ❤
How many yarns you need to make this cardigan? Tysm in advance❤
I used 1100g for the size I made! 🥰
how many balls did you use of how many meters for what size pls ? :))
It's in the description.
It took HOW LONG to dry??👁👄👁
But regardless of that, it looks amazing😁
I didn't really have a good drying spot at home haha
Hi. What size is this? Will this fit my son who wears a size L?
Hi! The tutorial is for made-to-measure and the cardigan I made is like an XL so yes.
What wool do you use?
I used 4 Seasons Spot Saver
What size hook did you use?
She used 6mm then @6:30, she switched to 5.5 to do the top row. Then switched back to a 6mm.
How much yarn do you think I need?
For reference, I used 1100 g. You’ll need around that for the same size.
How many grams of yarns did you use?
1100 g I believe.
ممكن اضافه ترجمه للعربيه لكي نستفيد ❤❤❤

Hey 👋 👋
Could you tell the ply no. Of the yarn used ??
Medium weight is equivalent to what ply ???
It's 10 ply, medium weight.
@@CherilynQokay thank you ❤
How many yarn wool did it take to make this? 🤔
I used about 1100 g
What is the thickness of the yarn that you use ?
It's medium weight.
@@CherilynQ size 4?5?
Is it possible to skip the button part?
Yes, you also won't need to make the button holes in that case.
Ok, thanks for replying so quickly 🥰
👏👏❤❤🙏🙏🌹🌹✋✋🇦🇱🇦🇱
I don't understand a thing. I really want to learn crochet. 😢
عمل جيد جدا لكن اتساءل لماذا كل الترجمات موجودة ألا اللغة العربية ؟؟؟؟ هذا أمر محزن😢
