Hi guys , similar issues , I had to hit my pen against my desk for it to work .. I didn’t believe when people told me this at first when I read online but it really works!!
I tried changing the nibs at first but then noticed when I take it out and place the pen near the kindle same thing happened therefore the issue had to be with the pen. Tapped it against my desk and placed it near the kindle and problem gone!!

In order for the pen tip not to damage the screen it is made deliberately softer, because of this it will deform and wear out over time, as it does writing will become more difficult as the shape changes. I've been using mine for about 6 months and I've just changed it for the first time, I was surprised how much the writing quality had changed over this time, and I'll be changing it more often from this point
