  • The Amazon Kindle Scribe has two pen options. The PREMIUM pen and the BASIC one.
The premium features an eraser and a secondary button, while the basic is as it sounds, basic.

Could you speak to whether the premium pen is worth the additional cost? Thanks.

Uh… “… a smashing success?” Are you serious? You must not be reading any comments on the user forum and some reviews here on RUclips regarding lack of functionalities and bugs.
As stated by others, the Scribe is an overly glorified big screen Oasis.

      It was a smashing success.
It's the first device above 10 in to have 300 PPI.
It has an amazing build quality.
      Even glow light distribution.
Full Wacom support for any pens.
And has the strongest integrated ecosystem of any brand; Amazon.
Other than the pallet, which we mentioned, which can easily be fixed with software updates, yes, it is a smashing success. Thanks

It doesn’t have the functionality of the SN, but their first update was a big improvement, with minimal lag and the best pencil capabilities on the market. Excited for future updates.

@@goodereader specs alone does not make something a smashing success. I opted to pre-ordered one and got it. Hell, I still use it to read, but he lack of note taking options and troublesome pdf markups in the release and still present in the new firmware makes it a device that is a great kindle reader, but not a notetaking device; even with the wacom supported pen. But to each their own when it comes to thinking what is or isn't a "smashing success." Cheers.

@@ernestintownandjackintheco1024 I agree that the 1st update to the firmware is headed in the right direction. Let's see if Amazon will live up to its promises to deliver functionalities in the upcoming firmware updates. I'm hoping they will make this Scribe a kick-ass note taking and reading device. Not just a great "specs" sheet device.
