Some of them do have good stories though, but yeah mostly there for the Pokemon, especially kids. Like around gen 5, also a teen by then I got to apreciating the games and their lore/story more, which is why I found SwSh to be offensive, terrible writing. It's an RPG collecting game, you need some semblance of a story to help the games be something, and with well developed characters, that or they go back to gen 1 and 2 where the plot is simple and you have more freedom with decisions you make. Like that's what I'd hoped my journey through Galar was being, in Red or Firered you can save Lt Surge for last if you want to despite being the 3rd gym leader, you don't have to battle right away... but no, it was linear gym challenge again with lack of story until the very last possible second, right after its equivalent to the elite 4 and right before the champion battle, ruining the emersion. Crap games, only redeeming thing was some well designed Pokemon like Dragapult, Grimsnarl, Haterene, or Alcremie. Edit... this is why we are different Noble, I picked up on that stuff years ago, why I appreciate Pokemon for its RPG elements and Pokemon, you... just they look cool lol. It's fine to each their own, I just find it funny, and that's also what makes Pokemon great you can literally do anything, be a contest star, breeder... like the day care people or Brock you degenerates, but hey you could be a degenerate too. You can do competitive you can kill them after they fail your nuzlock, you can be a shiny hunter, you can do anything or be anything in the world of Pokemon.

By definition though not the dark ages, 5th century to 14th century, lasted 900 years. Medieval Times about the same, started in 476 AD lasted to 1453 AD, and was coined by Francesco Petrarca (had to look that up wooh that spelling) due to the lack of literature and art. It then became widespread and associated with other things at the time, such as famine in early 1315 lasting a few years being the 1st widespread natural disaster to happen to Europe, the plagues like 30 years later being 2nd killing 1/3 of the whole population, and even labeling England (and European's as a whole) way of progression post Rome's fall as the "incorrect" way the world was moving in. Due to misinterpretation, well game of telephone and other problems being grouped in that happened at those times it is known as the dark ages as well as medieval times.

"No-one wants Chikorita."
o_o ...Before Hisuian Typhlosion, it was my favorite Johto Starter to go with. Sure, first 2 gyms were bit more of a challenge, but still.
3:45 i want chikorita

3:06 What if Sprigatito next evolution do stand on two legs, but maintain it's cat-like feature? Imagine Sprigatito version of Meowth. Would that be OK then?
So purrloin

@@camdaman9857 I think so.
I dunno much about Pokemon. Never play them and only watch the old anime/cartoon rarely.

finally someone noticed that ditto is... oh fudge here we go again
LP: "No one wants Chikorita"
Me, who chose her first in the original gold and happilly so: "So you want this mandatory meeting in the alley or in the hidden forest my guy?"
“I love Pokémon as you can see from the background” Me: looks at the cardboard cutout*
3:09 That Sprigatito has to be thinking: “wait til I evolve, they won’t be yelling about that for long”
6:14 damn he grew so much he gained rights
9:47 And _this_ is why I think Lugia should have been called "Aquatro."
Is Lugia a bird?
@@sarahmeisantos5151 well lugia is like the trio master of the legendary birds but I guess that’s not an excuse to call it a bird since Ho-Oh, a bird, is the trio master of the legendary beasts
These memes are great! Pokémon are my favorite. Nothing beats a Pokémon meme!
0:58 Am I the only one who thinks that the boy sitting with Gardevoir looks like Deku from MHA?
Also, technically, Zorua and Zoroark don't actually transform into people and Pokémon. They create visual illusions. It's part of their inspiration as kitsune.
He does looks like Izuku.
I was thinking Hugh from BW2, but I could see it
@@pokemenagerie9 I thought so too! Looks like Hugh from BW2

Jesse was the original waifu in pokemon
Jesse is 100% better than gardevoir.
2:21 Here's something you probably haven't considered.
Is that Zoroark's illusion we're seeing or the illusion fading?
Whenever zoroarks transform into a human the tail is a red heiring unless that's only in the cartoons.
@ZC gamer and reacts in the games, it's implied there could be Ditto who can completely pass as human.
What's to say Zoroark are any different?
"Ever notice how most people freak out about the possibility of people eating pokemon, but nobody seems to question where leather in the pokemon universe comes from? Which pokemon are getting skinned?" - Mongolian Proverb
Maybe they use the skin-clothes from scrafty?
Crap games will be crap games.
9:30 I was today years old when I learned this fact. Never bothered with it before, as I don‘t give a flying frick about the Regis though.
Nobel: No one wants Chikorita.
Me: Well excuse me for liking Meganium
Also German counting with D-ein-o Zwei-lous and Hy-drei-gon
Bro no way😂

Can’t wait for the Dark Ages Regi, I think he will be a dark type.
Wouldn't that also be the same time frame as Regidrago? Like the dark ages were just part of the middle ages, that'd be like making a grass regi made out of money to represent the depression despite regieleki being the electric age the same time frame.
@@pokemenagerie9 More like the pilgrims and burning witches part of time and did you know, the new One Piece episode came out, it’s spectacular, check it out.
@@soelo592
Sorry but no, the dark ages were after the fall of Rome and before the Renaissance, don't get me wrong that's a dark time.
@@soelo592
Will admit some of it I didn't know such as the famine, plagues I knew of and that it was due initially to death of literature and art, sorry if I come off as snobby, just trying to be informative. I don't think there really was an era for the Salem witch trials, but certainly should be something, especially with other things going on in that time period such as giving the Native Americans diseases, enslaving some, and various other things, certainly a dark era for America... huh neat didn't mean to rhyme.
@@soelo592
Also no I didn't caught up little while ago, but ehhh going to wait a while till another large batch of episodes are out to continue. I know Wano is LOOONG so I can't binge it like other arcs, but would like to do it as much as possible, break it up in batches.
Love the detail of Gardevoir hitting Gallade with a Fighting type TM so he unlearn that shit
Yeah next trailer is probably around E3, that's usually how Pokemon works, they'll wait till after Nintendo has had their direct then because they're special they'll do it after within a few days... also yes that's Date a Live LET'S GO NEW SEASON!
9:48 - Also Noble this is something quite cool about the legendary birds:
M O Z A R T
MOtres
ZApdos
ARTicuno
With a little bit of cosmetic work I feel like you could reasonably pass for a Nigel Thornberry.
5:20 "you can heal pokemon? I was just throwing them away"
Pokémon knew what it was doing. And it might have been the proudest company in the world when it created gardevoir.
Game"freak"
I remember getting a papercut reaching into my school bag once. There was a loose sheet of paper with a _very_ clean edge. It went straight into the tip of my finger like a knife. So clean I didn't even feel it until after I saw the blood. Those dead trees are out for revenge, man.
"Ditto is the most breedable"
But what if it keep the eyes?
I like that Keldeo, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, the "Swords of Justice" Pokémon are all based on characters from Alexandre Dumas' novel The Three Musketeers. Keldo is d'Artagnan, Cobalion, Terrakion and Virizion are Athos, Porthos and Aramis the titular Musketeers that d'Artagnan trains under.
1:34 Nurarihyon No Mago MC
7:27 yes
7:50 Except in the Pokemon canon Pokemon did infact marry humans at one point so it's more she's keeping ancient tradition alive.
2:33 I have a feeling nightmares would probably taste like the black liquid that people vomit when they're possessed by a demon in horror movies.
The reason Litten got focused on was because of how drastic the change in evolutions was: it went from cat - slightly bigger fire cat - macho, probably 6ft fire tiger wrestler
how dare chikorita is my favorite starter line of all time. don't mess with her she is my baby!!!!
As long as it's not Humanoid on hind legs then I'm fine.

Fun fact:
Deino, Zweilous, and Hydreigon have the German words for one, two, and three
(Ein, Zwie, Drie)
"i dont think ive ever had a paper cut"
_stares at huge cut across finger_
haha... thats nice
Everyone - complains Pokemon is too easy.
Also everyone - I ain’t picking Chikorita it sucks.
2:08 one time as a kid i used to help my mom and neighbors clean the park that we have close, and i one of those times i remember trying to pull out one very big leaf that was sorta sticking from a palm tree or similar...the moment i saw my blood its one memory that i will never forget, because at first they told that it wasnt that bad... then i saw my finger almost cut in half and i think i passed out in that moment or something, the last thing remembered is having a piece of cloth wrapped around my finger and the weird feeling of my bone "touching" with too much liberty the top part of my finger...
Paper cuts are one thing, but believe me when i say that Leaf cuts are just in another league.
the yokai Drwozee is based on specifically eats nightmares, so, it probably likes the taste.
Keep it up on your work and this video and channel
4:25
Plot twist, the reason Charm didnt work is cuz both of them are dudes
When you catch your mom as a poke… Never mind, I don’t want to bring up terrible flashbacks.
It's kinda funny watching these and not realizing that it was posted a year ago. I see the meme of holding the Sprigatito and assume it's going to be one of those "cute when it's a baby, lewd when it's fully evolved" only to realize that this was posted before we knew about Meowscarada.
9:56 Another similar but less known fact. The evolution stages of Hydreigon do all contain German numbers:
D’ein’o (ein means one)
‘Zwei’lous (zwei mean two)
Hy’drei’gon (drei means three)
The names also symbolizes the amount of heads they have.
And Deino is the only stage that learns Tackle, Zweilous Double Hit, and Hydreigon Tri Attack
@@spindash64 Nice, always glad to learn a new pokemon fact.

Dwayne The Rock Johnson, or a Gardevoir?
