I always thought it would be cute to put little stickers of the pokemon in the ball on the balls to know who's in which ball. That or use a different kind of ball for each.
Pretty sure Ritchie does that in the anime to tell which ones are which.
This is why you catch Pokémon in different pokeballs (Goh are you listening?)

I like the ideal that those with aura capabilities such as Ash and Riley or those with psychic abilities such as Sabrina can tell which Pokemon is in which ball just from there presents.

Hey guys, did you know that in terms of male human and female Pokémon breeding, Vaporeon is the most compatible Pokémon for humans? Not only are they in the field egg group, which is mostly comprised of mammals, Vaporeon are an average of 3"03' tall and 63.9 pounds. this means they're large enough to be able to handle human dicks, and with their impressive Base Stats for HP and access to Acid Armor, you can be rough with one. Due to their mostly water based biology, there's no doubt in my mind that an aroused Vaporeon would be incredibly wet, so wet that you could easily have sex with one for hours without getting sore. But if you get one, you better show this god of fuck the respect it deserves. Umbreons maybe my favorite. But, damn, Vappies really want to get that top spot from me. It's a really close call.

I like to imagine that in order to tell which Pokemon is who, the trainer just writes an initial on the Poke Ball. Assuming they were all caught with the same type of Ball, of course.
Plus in the anime weren’t pokeball stickers a thing, pikachu’s ball in the rare times it is shown has a lightning bolt sticker, i always thought all of them were like that but the animators couldnt be bothered with making a unique sticker pattern for every single pokeball that shows up in the show,

Ok, confession time: I only used my cindaquil for almost my entire run on SoulSilver up till the elite 4, where I got consistently creamed. And the only other actually competent Pokemon on the team were the garydos from the lake of rage and Lugia. The rest was just there to hold an hm or something. Then I lost the card...
Cindaquill is a BEAST if you build around the nature and put in the EV grind.
I used chikorita, that maze was how it felt for me to be at 120 in game hours and barely scrapped by the elite four. It was tough but the Whitney fight was really easy at least, even if the rest of the game wasn’t. Had to train up dratini to dragonite and my meganium to level 65. Other Pokémon I had with me were fodder if I’m honest, got sick of grinding after getting these 2 overleveled

You could get these miscellaneous stickers and letters that you can add to these clear balls that you could mark to a certain Pokémon and then when you release them in battle, it would do little effects.

Pokemon USED to have normal animals back in Gen 1, when Pokemon were these 151 known magical monster creatures, but the rest of the world was implied to be normal. We even saw references to normal animals in the first season of the anime including seeing regular fish in aquariums.

Cyndaquil is the best started for the second generation because the fire type is the most useful.
I like eeveelutions as starters (pokemon Coliseum and Gale of Darkness on gamecube)
So the gyms are, Flying, Bug, Normal, Ghost, Fighting, Steel, Ice and Dragon. Now Cyndaquil loses to the Flying (Mud Slap), Normal (Rollout), Fighting (Surf) and Dragon ones in the original, but has a decent matchup against the others bar Ghost. Totodile loses to Steel (Magnemites and Sunny Day)… and thats about it due to Ice Punch being a tm and Rage being pretty good early game. It even gets Bite for the ghosts. Chikorita is my baby, but sad…
Considering it is basically your only fire type... Yeah, Feraligator is far.cooler, but less useful as water types are common.

Bulbasaur is an easy start, it was meant to be easy mode, Squirtle normal, Charmander hard. HOWEVER as the game progresses Charizard and Blastoise are the best starters, Venusaur has too many weaknesses and too many obstacles once you beat Erika. It's move pool is so limited, only learning poison and grass moves, Sabrina stomps it, Koga has a Golbat, Blaine fire, Giovanni ground poison no advantage one way or the other, then you got ice Queen Lorelei in the elite 4, more flying with Agatha, Lance the... bird tamer, and your rival with a Charizard, Pidgeot, Gyarados not weak to grass, Executor and Alakazam psychic, the only advantage is against his Rhydon. Venusaur is unusable in the 2nd 1/2 of the game compared to the versatile and glass cannon Charizard, and the tanky Blastoise which has no weaknesses because it can learn earthquake, ice beam, and blizzard. Even more so in the remakes FRLG where that toxic leech seed bug isn't present anymore, and even then that requires too much set up. If you were to play the game with only your starter Blastoise is the best option as painful as that is to say, Charizard close 2nd.
I could never get far in Fire red with anyone but Squirtle, Charmander was borderline impossible to use in the first two gyms, just getting past Brock was difficult. With Bulbasaur I could get past the first two gyms but I eventually hit a wall when I boarded the boat and when you had to fight your rival to get up to the captain's office or whatever. He had a pidgey or a sparrow who would easily take down my grass starter then just eat through whatever else I might've had. I feel like all the games I played after that one, it was much easier to play with any of the starters no matter the gyms or rival's party

In FireRed? That's even easier than the originals lol. gotta make use of Charmander's debuffs growl and smokeskreen, though if you were like me too young didn't understand strategy, you plow through it after grinding. Viridian Forest is made up of all bug types... and the occasional Pikachu, probably so Charmander can grind faster than Bulbasaur and Squirtle being at such a disadvantage. Then just ember it, I know that doesn't make much sense being you know weak to ground and rock, but Onix doesn't have rock moves at that level either, and while it has super high defense its hp and special defense are abysmal, so scratch isn't doing jack, you need ember. I didn't understand this back in Red but did figure out it is doing quite a bit more damage. Firered I understood stats a little more, realized oh that's why it's doing better, Onix must have bad special defense.
Just glad I didn't trigger a Bulbasaur fan, but yeah Charmander you just have to power through, then it gets better later on. Blastoise still strategically better because it can cover all its weaknesses, but Charizard can manage unlike Venusaur. This is also if you were to use just your starter on a run, like normally I always have a Pidgey and Butterfree that also help with Brock, Butterfree takes out the Geodude, the Charmander if it's at least at the same level of 13 as Onix can manage. Then going even further, last year I replayed Red... er well wanted to, but chose Yellow because the character Red has all 4 starters, because I'm playing all the games in order as the protagonists with their teams, and Red... oooh yeah slaps. Blastoise was even unnecessary, the only 2 Pokemon I used in the elite 4 was Lapras and Charizard, Lapras I've always liked, but never knew its potential. It's tanky like Blastoise, and one of the few water types capable of learning electric and psychic moves (Starmie being the other, and a glass cannon which can be JUST as good especially with the psychic stab), so it had no weaknesses despite also having ice type, could take out other water types, and had a lot more variety than Blastoise.
That's true though, the games started getting a bit easier outside Cynthia, they weren't too easy though like newer games.

I disagree with 2:40. Cyndaquil is the easiest starter, while others are more harder. And yes, Chickorita maybe the hardest, but once you find way through the maze, you will not have any problems with future encounters like this, and this is more satisfying than other two. I love Chickorita, its my favourite grass type of all of them. And if you ask me, Im not suffering with it. No one just understands how strong Meganium is, they just dont want to be in the safest zone to play, they want quick sweeps and risk, but the problem is, when they cant do that, they will lose. Yes, seed of cuteness is not the strongest, but its not the weakest of all mons. I really dont understand why so much people hate it just because its weak to 2 first gyms in johto, plus somewhere else, and then "fEraLiGatr CAn lErn ice fanG, so it CounTERs graSS". Yeah, try to oneshot with not stab and also not accurate move with 55 base power a mon that has a lot of defences. But if you cant, you will be petal danced, energy balled or even leaf stormed to death. Oh, and also, first 2 johto gyms have very weak moves, like, only gust and u turn with poison sting. The only dangerous move here is u turn, but thats it. Falkner will spam roosts, while you spam synthesis or just tackling it away, or even poison or put to sleep, for me, its not too hard to solo this gyms with Chickorita. Yes, its not the best, but you dont have to hate it because its not the best. Better hate Delibird, because it is completely useless. But not Chickorita. And yes, Meganium fould have been better designed, but its still solid, like oposite of other starters, where second form is ugly, but third is cool or dope. And... Oh, khm, sorry, couldnt hold myself back.

Bulbasaur had it easy for the first 3 gyms, especially since special atk and def were the same stat.
However Squirtle's line had much higher base stats and TM pool.
TM pool, yes. But for base stats, except for higher Special on the Bulbasaur line, and higher Defense on the Squirtle line, the two lines are basically identical with just 1-2 base stat difference in HP, Attack, and Speed.
I just googled it, there apparently are regular animals in the pokémon world and apparently pokémon and animals aren't related at all.
If regular animals exist, where the hell are they?!

3:24 It is weird and I think there is something about how originally there were normal animals and Pokemon were just magical creatures which is part of the lore, humans in ancients times considered Pokemon as magical creatures and a lot of Pokemon are based on mythical things from different cultures including Yokai. And this is beyond the legendary Pokemon: Mawile, Sneasel/Weavile, Smoochum/Jynx.... etc. all of these are based on things like Yokai.

Honesrly the question about cameras is kind of funny because cameras have actually existed for a lot longer than people realize. Their main components are essentially just light, a lense, and material to display an image afterall, and thats a lot easier to do than people think.

9:30 Is it just me that fantazises about what it would be like to be given a pokemon as a child and be best friends for life with an adorable fluffy or squishy friend that's nearly as big as you can protect you and grows/learns new skills as you train them and take care of them.
Like, imagine if they made a pokemon movie, but it was done by studio ghibli about a kid discovereing the world of pokemon and finding a best friend.
So, I was going to ask if the kid just didn't know about Pokémon at all up to that point, but that could make for a very good plot point.
