    I have to disagree with your choices, the first and most important thing you should do to this car is fit a wavetrac limited slip diff, this will allow you to put the power down that the car already has, before you tune it. then I would put b16 coilers on it, then tune it.

    • @marveysingh9592
      @marveysingh9592 2 года назад +3

      Won’t feel the benefits of a diff in a 140i on road use unless you’re absolutely driving recklessly. LSD makes the biggest difference on track. Will never understand why LSD is the go to option. 1st option is good tyres, Mich PS4 or Goodyear supers. 2nd is lowering springs or Coils. 3rd is the powerflex 6 rear sub frame mounts. At this point you have already improved the floaty car feel, body roll and can absolutely push the car hard enough without worrying about losing control (obvs to the weather conditions). The issue isn’t putting the power down. The issue is the soft suspension and sub frame cannot deal with a b58. I can put the power down in the wet in sport/sport plus depending on how wet. People that jump to LSDs being the first come from all wheel drive cars and complain can’t put the power down because they just mash the pedal flat without realising there’s a way to extract power from a rear wheel drive and putting it down. LSD is just a petrol head myth for people who don’t know how to drive. It’s also more dangerous when the back end goes so you really need to know how to correct rear wheel drive cars. The open diff snaps back in line providing you again know how to control a rear wheel drive.

    • @lazsmith
      @lazsmith 2 года назад

      @@marveysingh9592 dude you obviously have zero idea how to actually drive a car. open diff makes lack of traction WAY less predictable and down right scary in a car like this. LSD ensures good traction and progressive, controllable oversteer. The issue IS putting power down, as an M140i owner who bought the M-performance LSD as the first mod I did, I noticed a HUGE difference with everything else stock with the level of grip and stability even driving at normal speeds.

    • @marveysingh9592
      @marveysingh9592 2 года назад +1

      @@lazsmith 😂🤦🏽‍♂️ sure thing mate. I run stage 2 open diff & it’s fine. People hype the lsd without knowing how to drive first. Didn’t say LSD isn’t better, obviously it is but open diff isn’t as bad as what people make out👍🏽

    • @DjNikGnashers
      @DjNikGnashers 2 года назад +1

      @@marveysingh9592 My M140i has 455bhp/634nm and it desperately needs a diff. Yes I have decent tyres all round PS4's.
      Every time I pull out of a junction slightly quickly, or power out of a bend aggressively, I get one-tyre-fire, an LSD is a MUST for a tuned M140i.
      You obviously don't drive it anywhere near it's potential if you think the open diff is 'fine'.
      In the wet, with brand new PS4's on the back (had them fitted last wednesday), if I'm doing 40mph and boot it, I spin the rears.
      I think you should sell your M140i and buy a base model Fiesta, it would suit your driving style better.

    These are awful suggestions. The stock exhaust quite honestly is pretty open. You also won’t pass MOT with a decat and the non res is way too loud.
    Honestly all you need is a remap, an M performance LSD, underbody brace and Poly bushes on the rear.

    Poor video - Here is my take from it.
    1 - I'm happy with the factory suspension because lowered is a no no for me due to the bad roads in the UK. Ride is harsh and going over the potholes is a pain (mine is non adaptive)
    2 - Spacers - They look good but can screw up your wheels bearings in the long run.
    3) - Res delete - too chavy with the pops and bangs. Remus exhaust is a better option.
    4) - No need
    5) - No need - it's fast as it is unless you want to lose your licence.

      @marveysingh9592 2 года назад +1

      B8 dampers and MMR springs will improve that awful passive ride you have. I have MMR on adaptive suspension and it’s great. When I upgrade the dampers will be even more comfortable dealing with bumps. Passive is awful on stock dampers.
