A nice thing to have but really I can't imagine that these are going to make a difference for anyone. I would be very much in favor of seeing these come on the radio to begin with - but not with a huge price jump. I do like this radio, was going to get one but the good old supply chain issues a few months back made it so I could not find one during that moment! Oh well, I ended up with what I think is the best value radio in FPV the TBS Mambo. Priced right around these radios but I think that it is just a little nicer, but that is probably opinion. A lot of this was also form factor but I really like the game pad style so yea, it was a lot of going back and forth - and like I said I debated for so long that when I went to buy - no luck and at that point I was really itching to finally make the purchase! I really don't think you can make a bad choice between the major players, they all seem very much equal.
Difference can be many things. Make someone a better flyer.....probably not. Make it more enjoyable to hold and manipulate....maybe 50/50, be more reliable...time will tell, be more accurate in proximity...I would hope. :)

Hey Nick, been following your videos trying to catch up on changes in the hobby since I have been away. Currently looking at a Zorro/Jumper T Pro and leaning towards Zorro with the stick upgrade. I have a few legacy models that run DSMX but I plan to transition to all ELRS for my future builds as I'd like to do some HD long range stuff as well. Anyways, would you purchase a transmitter with ELRS built in and run a 4 in 1 module for the legacy stuff? I could see running ELRS 500mw+ etc being easier with the external ELRS module since I could get a aluminum module that is essentially a heatsink itself, plus add a fan/different antennas but there may be some benefit to running a TX that's built from ground up for ELRS that I don't know about.
I would get it with 4 in 1 internally and add an elrs module. really opens up our options. The new radiomaster ranger elrs modules are top notch, they go up to 1watt natively with packet rates up to 1000hz, with different sizes to fit nearly all our radios.
@@NickBurnsFPV Thanks Nick, the Ranger looks exactly like what I had pictured. Any major difference between the Ranger and Ranger Nano? I see one looks to have CNC case and different antenna but the size is also significantly different, not to mention price.
@@ChrisHarmon1 The nano doesn't have the display or buttons etc, so we have to use the elrs lua script to control the module. The ranger does also have the ability to go above 1watt, but that requires some elrs hackery that Wezley Varty has a video on. Otherwise all the same features.
I already paid nearly twice for my Zorro than it cost due to import fees and all sorts of nonsense, so I'm gonna hold off a bit on these, however it's definitely an upgrade I'll be making at some point in the future, probably around when I order the usb-c to 3pin 2c cable for longer battery life, been managing so far just swapping between a set. This pretty much cost the same price as the Zorro currently for me so I'm not in a rush.
