i know exactly what you mean about the stock gimbal ( awesome ), it's like an artist holding a light pencil while drawing his masterpiece ,now for the new cnc one i haven't feel the needs to upgrade yet .
for the throttle spring removal, there is in the package a small black screw which goes on the gimbal, in order to avoid use the long screw on the back cover, which works on plastic.
A product that depends on gimbals can’t be called good when reviewed if brings up new with poor quality original gimbals. Just like Mad's Tech said: The Zorro original gimbals are very good, for me great enough to be changed with this high cost option. The money can be spend in better things to update on this hobby...
I think your reading it wrong. Radiomaster have made the CNC option because people are asking for it. The Hall Sensors are the same, they are both quad bearings. It’s simply a premium upgrade IF people want it. Just like when a car has an option for leather seats or climate control Vs air conditioning. Both are fully functional it’s just preference.
As you said, it's down to the individual... Being a poor hobiests I would say you would have to be crazy to spend the price of the radio to just aesthetically improve it. Though having said that I would like to feel what these CNC alloy gimbles are like.

new to this and i just purchased a new Radiomaster TX16S 4in1... . which ELRS module would you recommend . My flying style would be something like Nick Burns does , around the house and backyard .
Thx for vid. I'm pretty satisfied with zorro. But right gymbal for frictioned and no centering vertical use is not very perfect. I wanted virtually no tension With minimum friction set, the plastic friction feels a little jumpy and poppy I wonder if I could eliminated if I change the right gymbal. And still looks a little too expensive. And the housing is a bit much big, much angled outward at hand grips. And front buttons and belly buttons are not too much accessible. And replacing looks like some job even If I decide to change one.
Hi mate. I was wondering if you could give me your opinion please?...I need to get ExpressLRS. I either spend £40ish on a module for my TX16S (V1) or spend £110 (extra £70) and get a whole new controller, the Radiomaster Zorro, with ExpressLRS built in? What you think mate? Thanks. Ant
I don’t know….they should have a version of the Zorro and TX12 that comes with these gimbals. You switch them out and then you have a set of stock gimbals wasted unless you sell them but who’s gonna buy them. Probably a better upgrade from the stock potentiometer TX12 gimbals.
As a man who uses his hands as a profession. And has built up calluses and hardly any feeling in my fingertips I wouldn't waste my money on these. Heck I fly with my thumbs
$100?? that puts the Zorro well over the price of the Taranis XLite pro. Which is a far superior radio. It comes with CNC gimbles, and has much more switches a features.
@@MadRC Does the zorro have momentary switches? haptic feedback? accelerometer control? internal charging? And CNC gimbals without having to tear into your brand new radio?
@@salomaramona7286 actually with the cost of the gimbals, it would still be cheaper to buy the XLite pro and a ELRS module. but if less switches and features, doors that won't stay shut, and a 18330 battery that nobody can get that only has half the battery life makes you happy, then good for you. Enjoy your new radio.
it needs a secret santa claas cause my wife would be close to kill me spending 100€ on gimbals. I would get far easier a better radio, but not 100€ for the gimbals. She might call me coward cause if these gimbals would improve my skills so much, then she would ask me most likely after she had learned a bit about the hobby and need for tech: Why do you still need such flight controller on each of these planes if you have those excellent gimbals? So I would sacrifice the fcs I guess or buy another bling bling - for her, not the radio, which she does not like at all. Good product, but let us wait till Chrismas and your looking back in a 6 months later or a year in a review where you touch all your reviews from the birds eye and talk from the 6 months more experience. I usually do like these 6 months later reviews a lot and they have a side benefit too: people tend to watch the first review they might have missed or might not remember anymore So I guess you might think about such a regular series from quarter to quarter looking back 6 months ago. Reminds me to a simliar series by Andrew Newton, the australian guy you had not known till we told you on a sunday evening. He does a regular talk about what is still in his hangar and what he had sold meanwhile. I like to see those a lot cause these show me which planes he really loves and why cause it is so hard for him to give a plane away, not always, but quite often when he has to make the decision amont a or b where b is a lot better, but finally a stayed for a reason he will explain. Does not really fit to your sheme, but I guess you could call it what is still in my shelves - and what had gone or had been lost due to crash or whatever. As said before, Lambo loft is finished , so I have a few more moments to write a comment, but tbh there is the next one, the next bigger lambo loft I have to build, a 17 kWP solar power array and battery which will take a few months considering that first the old one has to leave. great job, but not my cup of coffee for this time, these gimbals. I suggest Radiomaster should be getting down to earth and work on a 90% version of these gimbals that make much more sense cause the 90% version needs to be sold for half of the price, 45 or 50€. Will not happen that I get those cause I'd prefer another wing or plane instead without the discussion I would get having purchased such gimbals for 100€
The one part that I needed to see from this 15 minute blathering video you fast-forwarded through (which wires go into what ports from the gimbals). A little common sense please, if you're trying to actually help people, that is. DON'T FAST FORWARD THE ACTUAL RELEVANT PARTS.
How about instead of being a dick and complaining about how I make my content actually ask me for a still from the raw footage that shows what you need.

Awesome review, Ian! Thanks! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Mine came in today, and I’m honestly not sure I’ll even install them. May just sell them on as the stock ones have caused me zero drama thus far

I preordered them when they were put up on Radiomasters site. And i have not received them yet.
I know this isn't fpv related. But the microphone is spot on. What are you using for a mic?
Interesting, I did a tweak on this. It’s the Rode Wireless go but I tweaked it in resolve. I’m blown away you noticed.
My zorro is backordered and on the slow boat from China
still waiting for their 18650 version before taking the splurge
The TX12 is almost that!

that’s how they make money, disgustingly wasteful.
I've heard about these delicious little things...🤔

Just ordered some. My stock gimbles on my zorro are disappointing
Loooovely 😍

How does the Xlite have more button and features ? Please name a few ?

@@moemuggy4971 haha, naaa...its 200$ it basically cost as much as zorro, but without ELRS built in. Zorro anyway over the xlight

as much as i like commerce they need to bite the bullet because as it is now cnc gimbells are no more expensive then a new plastic... being nice
