- In this video I’m exploring the Voodoo Labs PX8 Plus Switcher System. The PX8 Plus is part of the Voodoo Labs Dingbat PX which comes pre loaded with the PX8 Plus and a Pedal Power 3 Plus in this case.
For the video I used some great pedals from my friends at Chase Bliss, Keeley Electronics, MXR, and Thorpy FX.

is nice tutorial but you coulda gone in more depth on how to connect the pedals to the right inputs and your amp and guitar to get audio i have trouble with mine and cant get no audio for the pedals dont know if its my cables or if i got them in the worng inputs for the life of me i cant figure it out can you do a more indeth video on which inputs and order to put everthin in i got 3 overdrives one or two distortions a delay and a chorus but i havnt found them other than that great video dont know why i cant get sound from my guitar and amp im putting the guitar into the output and the amp into the input or do i have that backwards

First thing make sure input and output of the PX8 plus are correct. Input Guitar and Output to amp. In the manual here voodoolab.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/px8plusmanual.pdf we’re shown the loops…..sends go to inputs-returns to outputs (I often have to check this because I don’t always use a switcher rig) once they’re patched this way instant access mode lets you turn on loops 1-4 or 5-8 depending if on Low or High. There’s also that insert in the middle for like a volume pedal so if you’re using that it could be part of the equation.
Make sure any of the loops in instant access mode that aren’t being used are off so we’re only engaging loops we want in play.
When I’ve had issues with things not working it’s always been accidentally being in preset mode (vs instant access mode- turning on/off each loop ) or because I patched the Send and Return wrong which is usually as quick as swapping them on the PX8. You’ll have to decide to swap at the patch bay or the pedal depending on how orderly/clean you care for your board to be.

Can we put in one loop?
I’ve experimented with different things. In theory you can patch as much stuff as you can fit into each loop- so you could setup like 3 delays into Loop one- 3 drives loop 2 etc
Or maybe have it divided as Loop 1 is routed for all Acoustic stuff Loop 2 is your Electric rig and and just tap dance the on/off stuff.
Some of that stuff might defeat the purpose of having a pedal board with the switcher mounted on it though. Maybe a more modular approach would be in order 🤔
But yea you could totally run a few drives right after the guitar before the switching part of signal chain (or after again whatever you want) and just put weird pedals in the loops to mangle everything up.
@@jamiemharrison4493 oh, word ! I have about 9 modulation pedals and 4 drive pedals hopefully I can workout something!
I also have a mess boogie dual rec with a footswitch ! The cable for it is a midi jack and I know the voodoo board has a midi on the bottom of it.
Would we be able to insert that into the board and program the channel switching into loops ?
Sorry, but that's not how to do a factory reset. What you did was switch from Preset mode to Loop Strip and then back to Preset mode. Effectively that did nothing. In the manual it shows how to do a factory reset by holding down buttons #2 and #3 at the same time. Regardless, thank you for the video!
How can this trash not have configurable triggers for momentary and latch? Why does this thing cost an arm and a leg and don't have these features???
