I used Blue cat on my 6l80 and i put superior solution thermostat bypass valve which keeps tranny cool never exceed 70 degree C.
Things i make changes :
1. For shift scheduling i use blue cat just put you parameters carefully in BC tool and of-course setup convertor lockup carefully and uniformly to all patterns.
2. under torque converter tab. Increase desired pressure, apply ramp and max pressure by 20-30% i put added 30% to mine. then under same tab put regulator gain value 1.00 and regulator off set 620kpa
3. under shift pressure > upshift > increase pressure by 20-30% on all patterns. if you gen 5 you have to be uniform to all apply pressure to all patterns.
Shift pressure > general > pressure pattern mode > select special
4. Under torque converter tab set TCC Desired slip to 0
Thats all it been 1 n half years it shifts like butter but i recommend bypass thermostat before tuning 6l80
Never touch downshift.
