Actually played a bit the other day. Logged in and saw two dudes trying to Open the doors to VoG, decided to hold down the third plate for them. Then others joined in. Then suddenly we had a full raid team, we got invited and ran VoG off the cuff. It was the most funny I’ve had with the franchise in a long time.
It was the best for sure; that feeling when you put it on and it loads up..the music, the little tingle you get. Man, what a time! Really was incredible and so much fun.

the nostalgia is crazy I started tearing up thinking about all the good old days and friends I made along the way and who I haven't talked to in over 5 years
I actually just got into Destiny, as anew player I thought it was really hard getting into D2 with how chopped up the base game is. So I tried out D1 and honestly I’m having a really good time with it. It was cool to see that people are still playing, and that I actually have a complete game to experience. I know I won’t get to check out those live events and such, but it’s awesome at least all of the base content and expansions are still here to enjoy.
Destiny 2 would have been a lot better if they had at LEAST kept The Red War (it’s original base campaign) so that you at least had context as to how the hell everything changed so much. The only players who can really get into Destiny 2 at this point are the ones who have been consistently following it since the seasonal system began at least. Now you just jump into current events with no emotional buildup even available to properly experience it
@@shotgun6125 As one of those players that got in at about 2020 when (from what I've been hearing, anyways) the seasonal system began really trying in the story department; yeah, I completely agree. There are some characters like Cayde-6 that I just never got attached to because I couldn't experience a campaign where he was still around. I imagine there are many new players that feel the same about many of the characters who've had their story arcs get deleted. A lot of the experience is also kinda worsened by just how many activities need to be grinded out before the next expansion takes it all away. The constant FOMO's honestly got me to not want to touch the game until friends want to do raids and dungeons.
About 6 weeks into D2 they jacked up the base movement speed, but the guardian sprint speed and sparrow speed is still marginally slower in D2 than it was in D1. But the biggest change is in ability speed. Jumps and dodges are much slower in D2. Weapon handling and TTK were toned down in the sequel and they had to nerf movement to match.
I miss the campaign structure of d1. I loved how u could replay any mission in the campaign at any time. It also felt like the story had tighter direction in a sense. I’m not saying the overall storytelling is better but how the campaign felt to play felt much more rewarding. I also miss when exotics felt genuinely exotic same with legendary gear. You weren’t just handed the gear like you are now which I feel diminishes the value of the gear.
That’s funny that you say that about the story , I remember people talking crap about the story , I never played D2 (my clan all quit D1 towards the end) so I’m not sure where the story went
Strikes and crucible were so much better in destiny 1 imo. I loved the more slow paced d1 pvp as opposed to the constant sliding and strafing in destiny 2. Im sure d2 may take more skill but i just had much more fun in d1, loved the forgiveness of d1 handcannons
As far as I’m concerned, my gaming life truly started with D1. I played games all my life but wasn’t into these kind of grindy games before 2014-this game changed all that. I met so many awesome life long friends from these playlists.
It was really only in the past few months that I started putting any time into destiny 2. All these years it’s been out I’ve been playing destiny 1 still, mostly soloing nightfalls once a week, but age of triumph really gave this game so much life. I also mostly prefer the art style in d1, it’s cool to hear someone else notice that subtle difference (: definitely one of my favorite games as well
What a fabulous game D1 was. Some fantastic memories. My 1st Vault of Glass raid was with a random team on one sunny afternoon. It was mindblowing. One of, if not the best gaming experience i have ever had. Good times 🙏
I’ve only ever played D2 and went back and downloaded D1 just to see its roots. And lemme tell you it’s a damn grind to really become powerful LMFAOO. It feels a lot more rewarding in D1 though I will say that
@Quanta Solace my dad says that, he played the game and had over 5000 hours in destiny 1, he said that getting exotics was way harder to get than destiny 2
Dude! I actually went back and played D1 this month as well. My life shifted pretty significantly recently... I got offered a job in Norway, so I moved here in the last days of 2022 and because I don't know anyone and it's winter, after work I hang out at home and because I brought my old Xbox One X with me, I decided to fire up D1 and I've been just chilling every day for an hour or two in game. There are still people playing this game. My tower is almost always pretty full and there are still LFG posts regularly. Like you said, this game changed my life as well. And that's not me just saying stuff, it did allow me to make some of the decisions that led me to a better and more full life. The friendships, the memories, the "zeitgeist" of that era on console was something that defined gaming for me and many other people who were around back then. I made friendships all around the world, played with some amazing and kind people and that's how I found you and your channel as well. Just looking at my vault is like going back in time. Every gun and every piece of armor has a story attached to it. Dude, the memories :) Glad to see you're enjoying it as well. Hope you're well! P.S. You say you lived for Trials. I lived for the Solo Nightfall. That was my favorite activity in the game back then. Being able to do it week after week was the "pride and accomplishment" I was after.
@@hammy2.039 It's very mellow but highly organized, which I like. I live in a small coastal town in the south. The weather is "rain and wind" or "show and wind" lol, but you cherish seeing the sky and the sun on rare occasions. So far I'm enjoying it. Just need to learn the language and even that's not a huge issue. Everyone speaks English well enough to get by on a daily basis.
Dude, love this comment, thank you. Congrats on the new job, I hope it goes amazing! Also I fully agree with the zeitgeist of that era on console was absolutely so special. It's the last really social gaming experience I've had, was Destiny 1. There was real magic there and then.
This video popped up in my feed just now. Saw your comment, i am from Norway😎 Just wanted to say! D1 also changed my life, i think it did for many of us. D1 over D2 every day.
It's amazing to hear you talk about D1 the way you do because I feel the exact same. Destiny was really my first hardcore gaming experience. I miss the raid days so much. Made friends, the community was tier 1 back then. I recently tried out D2 and was SO lost. Will never get that old VOG raid feels again.
I would for sure run Crota’s End again. My favorite raid of all time. Had so much fun with the boys, giggling and laughing as we would try to make it through that one passage where it’s just darkness and endless thralls. Good times.
I can ABSOLUTELY relate to this! Destiny 1 is one of my favorite games of all time, and I’m glad to see people going back to play D1 and to see new players coming to D1. It just fills me with so much joy. I’m also, legit right now, redownloading D1, as we speak, just had to go back to it, lol. Thank you, for making this epic video. Also: WARLOCK MASTER RACE DESTINY 1! Not in D2 tho.
I would love a destiny classic. I remember playing the game in its alpha and beta stages, the game honestly felt like such a breath of fresh air and was the last game to really make me feel that way.
Man this game meant so much to me all the back in 2014 as a 12 year old squeaker and to this Destiny is still one my most favourite franchises I loved the art, the world building, the loot, everything and then I got older and had less time for Destiny 2 by 2017/18 but now and again I pop back into D1 or D2 (when a new expansion drops for example) per audacia ad astra
@@willfoster1 I remember yous squeakers 😁.I was in my early 30’s when Destiny was released. We had kid 9 or 10 on raid team.We didn’t mind play with younger generation as long they were respectful. That was beauty about Destiny all age groups played together. Also we had guy in our team in his 60s.There was couple guys like 13,we played trials with them, they were very good.Great days they were.
@@willfoster1 yeah man, that was first game I started play with people together accualy.Met great bunch of people some of them still friends today after all years.
Destiny 1 was where I reunited with some old friends of mine from 6th grade. The only members I maintained contact with are my friends Nero, Austin, and Nate. In the final season of Beyond Light, another person I met that year who was also on good terms with Nero, Austin, and Nate created a clan. The clan itself is essentially a group dedicated to players who were abandoned by their previous friends/clans. He makes sure to ask any of our LFGs as well if they'd like to join our ranks
I played D1 back at the start, so much fun with mates! I randomly jumped into a few missions last year! So nostalgic picking it up again! I’ve just picked up Destiny 2 Lightfall and really enjoying it. Will always be an amazing game
To me lightfall sucks balls. I quit Destiny 2 for 5 years bc it just wasn’t it for me. Then my buddy told me to get lightfall last week so I did. For $50 it sucks. The campaign is great gameplay wise(but ur you’re on legendary, it’s literally impossible to beat), but the story sucks. It sounds cool from a distance but I literally couldn’t care less about the new characters. Man I just wish they would’ve stuck to that 10 year D1 plan.
I so miss my hunters taken sword, which I worked SOOO hard for. I also had the taken ship color mod…it was so awesome…. Dude your making me take a trip down memory lane! Now I’m gonna have to play it!
My favorite game hands down without question. I played the beta and didn't know what i was doing, just ran around pve with a sniper, trying to play it like halo and cod. I didn't pay attention to it until my friend let me license transfer it during house of wolves dlc. As soon as i started playing i fell in love and never stopped playing. Just when i thought it couldn't get any better, i just kept learning more and finding more in the game and in the community. It just felt like a never ending experience with infinite possibilities. A mysterious vibe everywhere in every setting that was just perfect. And the music, oh baby the music, was just perfect. It was already my favorite game i had ever played and i didn't think it could possibly get any better. Then the taken king happened. And man, when i say the majority of my life during that time was spent on that game, i mean it literally. Sad or not, i don't care. That time will always remain the absolute pinnacle of gaming for me and holds some of the best memories in my life. I was so deep into the story, the lore of everything, the secrets, finding secrets myself, trying to find them before anyone makes a video about them, the exotic swords, the entire dreadnought...etc literally everything i was so invested in and i knew everything about the game, pve side more than pvp, that i possibly could. Then kings fall came out and that was the first raid i went for worlds first on. Although, my team was an LFG and not an actual set up team for worlds first. But that was ok! Back then it was the experience and the friends you made through LFG. No other game i played had such genuine people that would always be willing to help others get through even the most difficult activities. That's why i played every raid at least 5-10 times each every week. (Also because i just absolutely loved raiding.) I was always looking for newer players who wanted to experience the raid but didn't have anyone to play it with. So i would always post on LFG looking for newer players to sherpa and make sure they knew it didn't matter if they didn't know what they were doing or if they messed up or didn't understand anything. It was such an amazing feeling to help newer people experience those end game activities and get them more into the game like i was. Rise of iron was no different either. I played it like crazy and then destiny 2 had me even more excited than i had ever been. I loved it at first and for a good while after. But after a year or two of it. I couldn't play it with the same excitement i could back in destiny 1. It was just different. I still bought every dlc and played them and i even had a set team from last wish that i went for worlds first with on every single raid up until the lightfall raid. But, now i don't play it at all. and i said up until the lightfall raid because i didn't even buy lightfall. I was excited and was going to buy it, but i didn't see a need to. It's a lot of money, so i decided to wait and see if the "this dlc will change everything and bring destiny back" hopefulness would be true. I saw it wasn't, so i didn't buy it. Such a shame what destiny used to be and mean to alot of us and what it is now. So, i would absolutely buy and play an og destiny experience if they were to make one. Especially if it's on pc. Maybe if destiny 3 is a thing, we can have hope that they'll simplify things and bring that mysterious vibe back into the game.
I started Destiny 1 on Playstation 4 when it first came out and I had lots of fun. I spent countless hours in that game. I finished all the raids except rise of machines , I got my gjallarhorn on my 3rd month after the game out in 2015 and I got every exotic armor and exotic weapons from Destiny 1. When I got Destiny 2 for the ps4 , when it first came out, it didn't feel the same. So I went back to Destiny 1 and I was surprised at how many people still played this game 5 years ago. Four years ago, I stopped playing on ps4 and bought an xbox one S, but I still missed playing Destiny 1. So I bought a disc version of Destiny 1 The Complete edition for the Xbox and I still haven't played it as much as I would to this day because of work. Now that I have an Xbox Series X, I''ll definitely go back to playing Destiny 1 and see if I can get back every piece of exotic armor and weapon including the Vex Mythoclast. The thing I hate about Bungie is the way they brought back The Vault of Glass Raid and armor and weapons but they never brought back the Atheon's Epilogue Auto Rifle. What's worse they made Fatebringer an exotic weapon and the Gjallarhorn is hidden behind a paywall as part of a bungie 35th anniversary expansion. I'm not exactly sure if I want to buy that new Destiny 2 expansion Lightfall.
I got Destiny for my birthday when Taken King was new. Started playing and my friends decided to come back to it too, didn't know they had it. And we got our raid team, being carried was nostalgic and now I'm the one "carrying" (b/c not a lot of them play anymore so it's usually just me- but I still play other games with them so we're not entirely apart) I'm enjoying D2 again, grinding and grinding for work- man time flies 😭
Destiny 1 was the first game that really changed my life, I just imagined in a whole Nother world that was me in the video game and just how everything was , like a fairytale to me and I loved it. I remember the first time we playing destiny in the patrol area of cosmodrome, I would save up all my strange coins just to wait for xur every Friday morning, amazing times I wish I can go back beginning all over again
Thanks for making this awesome video, my nostalgia really hit hard when you were talking about the memories associated with D1. Had a very similar experience back in the day, lots of fun with great people. Keep up the great work!
Ive just made my 10th account for a fresh start in D1 no matter what other games there are i always come back to D1 for the fun and the challenge and remeber the days of pushing Atheok off the map or unplugging my ethernet cord to solo Crota
Definitely agree with the time part older you get more responsibility and less time... I was on D1 every night now I'm lucky if I get more than 10 hours a week to invest 😔
A D1 classic would be amazing. A fresh start for everyone, graphic upgrade, and a revival of an amazing community. I think it would be a very effective way to bring back old players who are too overwhelmed with D2.
I have like 2500 hours in Destiny 1. Loved this game and love the memories now. D2 is not the same anymore. Also, the intro music in D1 is much better than in D2.
Lots of great memories! I used to play Apex a good deal but haven't in the past year....finding time to play as an adult is surprisingly difficult. Cheers
Destiny One was the game that forced me to learn how to use a controller. My wife started playing and one day I saw her using Red Death in the Dreadnought and was intrigued. I ended up playing around 1-2K hours and it kind of became a thing for my wife and I. To this day, (Even though we play D2) those were some of the best memories I have in gaming. We recently fired the game up, made two new characters and are starting fresh. Going from P,C K&M, back to a controller is a learning curve now, but totally worth.
I wish this game got a remaster, whilst I am pretty upset with Bungie for the content vault in Destiny 2 I'd still probably struggle to stop myself from purchasing this game if it was on steam.
That initial intro is what makes me smile. I fell off destiny hard and in D1 I was part of a clan, my main role was PVP and carrying ny team while they sit back and watch me clutch
I remember seeing Hunter, Titan, warlock, I picked Titan because it fits my personality. Smash smash😂 but what made me really excited was that I went to a military academy Discovery ChalleNGe Academy and was put without knowing or being allowed to pick the Titan platoon. That cemented my belief that I’m really a Titan.
Enjoyed the video, memories! Got three Gally's in D1. First was in the chest in VOG. Then again the next day. Had another drop months later and never got it again. Use to run people through Icebreaker mission with my wife, loved when it dropped for them. Spent ALOT of time exploring outside the map, loved following the greats like CloudXXX. Made some great friends.....still play with a few now....one in particular. The self Rez helped me glitch through doors, good times. -Salty-Blueberry
D1 was Awesome and D2 has turned into a grind campaign x10 and burnt me out. I play sometimes these days in D2 but after an hour, its the same grind to get 10 things to trade for 1 thing and get 10 of them to get another thing to complete a task. Destiny has brief stories wrapped around lots of "busy work" to keep people busy until next DLC/Release and has completely ruined this for me. I liked D1 because it seemed to be more story driven and I guess D2 people gave up on that concept, too bad.
Just the theme song on the start screen is nostalgic for me. Getting off work , coming home at 10pm my clans already online , it’s a Monday and we’re all up until 3am doing the raid , cutting up in pvp (sometimes) man just the thought makes me wish it was 2014 again
Man, I miss using No Land and the Zen Meteor most in Trials. Felt absolutely legendary winning with em. No snipers in D2 have the same feel and was really surprised they didn't carry those over after how popular they were amongst PvP.
This brings back so many memories, I remember playing this game as a kid and it being the first game I ever bought for my xbox. Such a great community behind this game
I remember when the game got revealed at E3 back then. I was playing Warframe at that time and immediately jumped into the Destiny 1 beta when it was available, and played the game for like 2 years. The game still looks amazing for it's age. It has a much darker tone than D2, which I personally like a lot more than the comic look of D2 with the brighter colors. D1 has so much more atmosphere. I love the social hub of D1. The tower was so much better. Everyone was still very hopefull for the future of Destiny back then lol here we are with the franchise being flushed down the toilet pretty much. I want to play D1 again so bad too. Wish they brought it to PC. I hope I can get my hands on a PS5 to play it again. D1 had easily some of the best raids I ever seen in any game. That Crota glowing armor was just amazing. King's Fall was so good in D1. I quit D2 years ago, doubt I'll play it ever again. It's a shame to see what they did to this franchise really.
This is so nostalgic... I participated in the Destiny 1 beta on the PS3 when I was about 10 or 11 years old and I remember very well how much I loved this game. After the beta ended I kept playing the demo non-stop (as if it was the full game) since I couldn't buy the game. Unfortunately, it is not available on Steam (unlike Destiny 2 which is there). I hope one day they make a PC port...
I've lost count of how many times have deleted a d1 character and started it all again. It just feels better. I miss the not knowing what the loot pool was. When legendary drops were exciting nevermind the exotic ones. The game doesn't feel the same anymore.
Destiny 1 was my halo 3. Hoppin on every Friday night with the boys back in middle school, grinding our with thru every campaign. Gosh those were the days
I don't comment that much on YT videos, but I remember your voice and I loved your podcast back in the day! I was neck deep in Destiny at the time as well. Great memories!
Lmfaooo VoG and the ice breaker, then that one sniper with infinite ammo with head shots. I was a menace to mobs. I think I spent like 50 some days in games 😅
destiny 1 during quarantine was something else. the game was alive like it used to be, pvp matches were almost instant, and there were players everywhere, like the good old days. i miss d1 a lot.
Left this game a long time ago and decided to come back a few weeks ago, 2023 and this is still active!! I started a new PSN Profile, new character and added players/friends whenever I visited Tower. In 1 week I had more than 65 new friends all playing D1 in 2023 🤗
My brother played Destiny for years since it came out and I’d always watch him. I haven’t started playing until a few weeks ago, and I can’t believe I wasn’t into it when I was younger. It’s such an addicting game once you get used to it.
Im so thankful for destiny. Still remember grinding for exotics on the campaign mission using the checkpoint glitch, getting the dlc by logging into a friends account and quickly switching to mine. Good times.
I enjoy still playing D1 because it's the same as when I played it back then- nothing vaulted. It's all been left there as I remember, so playing it again brings back a lot of nostalgia.
Hi, i have a very uncommon (but for me an important) question for you and others who are interested/in Knowledge. How did you "get rid" of the dlc's? I can see on the map, that the weeklys were locked for you, at the beginning of the video. But i can also tell, that you had rise of iron before, because of your gear. But first i wanna explain why it matters: If you manage to "uninstall" rise of iron, you can turn the vendors inventory into year 2 inventory, so you can get all the year 2 stuff. (Some of them are insanely good for PVE, outclassing the year 3 shotguns by a lot for example). I am a hardcore grinder. I know, that these things matter: - Your disc version (Vanilla, Taken King or Rise of Iron) - Your Console - Your installed Destiny Version - Your digital Versions of the game. I Would love if you or someone else could tell me more about that. (Nice video by the way)
Man my heart is so happy and so sad at the same time! I've lost a member of the Fireteam since this game but seeing this all brings back so many fantastic memories 😭
Man i remember getting destiny. I got it later than some of my friends, who were already attempting vog while i was just starting out. Wanted to do all of the campaign solo for the experience and without getting carried through, but the way the game felt from the start was incredible. Never did a game feel like that. The hours spent in the cosmodrome camping fallen and hive spawns, cheesing valus taarc, the pre-nerf vex mythoclast. Damn. If someone ever creates a time machine, take me and drop me off just pre-release of destiny 1.
Great video! We LOVE D1 over at Destiny: The Series. We are preserving EVERY mission and DLC for D1. The Best time to play PVP on D1 is evening. Plenty of use are still playing the game that changed our lives!

But the biggest change is in ability speed. Jumps and dodges are much slower in D2. Weapon handling and TTK were toned down in the sequel and they had to nerf movement to match.
Movement speed?!?!? D2 is faster buddy. Nice try
Why on the second chapter they deleted the expansions?
whenever i look at d1 graphics and everything it almost looks better than d2 in certain places
That’s funny that you say that about the story , I remember people talking crap about the story , I never played D2 (my clan all quit D1 towards the end) so I’m not sure where the story went
@@Neptune8 I think you didn't read the comment correctly.
Strikes and crucible were so much better in destiny 1 imo. I loved the more slow paced d1 pvp as opposed to the constant sliding and strafing in destiny 2. Im sure d2 may take more skill but i just had much more fun in d1, loved the forgiveness of d1 handcannons
Your trolling
Everything is better raids crucible and strikes
@@King-Beezy no troll bro. Everything was better.
@@King-Beezy He's trolling or blinded by nostalgia. PVP was GARBAGE in D1, especially trials
@@DudeQThat Definitely rose tinted glasses.
I also mostly prefer the art style in d1, it’s cool to hear someone else notice that subtle difference (: definitely one of my favorite games as well
Cool profile picture
We still got a really solid player base on D1
@@Soulsebbno y’all don’t, it’s like max 5000 players at any given time
@@dillonthevillon3719 you realize that D2 only had 12k active players pre-lightfall release right? 5k aint that bad fo a game as old as D1

What a fabulous game D1 was. Some fantastic memories. My 1st Vault of Glass raid was with a random team on one sunny afternoon. It was mindblowing. One of, if not the best gaming experience i have ever had. Good times 🙏
The difficulty is something I actually miss from D1. D2 can be hard if not geared but even then D1 made you work for it.
I’ve only ever played D2 and went back and downloaded D1 just to see its roots. And lemme tell you it’s a damn grind to really become powerful LMFAOO. It feels a lot more rewarding in D1 though I will say that
@@quinxilence3047 did you get the version with all the dlc expansions
@Quanta Solace my dad says that, he played the game and had over 5000 hours in destiny 1, he said that getting exotics was way harder to get than destiny 2
No it did not 💀
D1 Nighfalls 🤌🏻
Dude, the memories :)
Glad to see you're enjoying it as well.
Hope you're well!
P.S. You say you lived for Trials. I lived for the Solo Nightfall. That was my favorite activity in the game back then. Being able to do it week after week was the "pride and accomplishment" I was after.
How's life in Norway? Obviously it's cold-ish but I've heard it's quite nice to live there
@@hammy2.039 It's very mellow but highly organized, which I like.
Soloing Nightfall was one of the better parts of the game. Stay warm!
Good times.
The title music, the colony ship in the cosmodrome, THE FEEL AND DESIGN of the game. This truly was my home and nothing will ever compare. Ever.
Warlock master race forever

I would love a destiny classic. I remember playing the game in its alpha and beta stages, the game honestly felt like such a breath of fresh air and was the last game to really make me feel that way.
Man this game meant so much to me all the back in 2014 as a 12 year old squeaker and to this Destiny is still one my most favourite franchises
I loved the art, the world building, the loot, everything and then I got older and had less time for Destiny 2 by 2017/18 but now and again I pop back into D1 or D2 (when a new expansion drops for example)
per audacia ad astra
I was a fellow squeaker when d1 was out 😂 I remember how rough it was lfg in raids

Now Cayde 6 is coming back
Man the game I found you on nostalgia I'm only 20 but I feel old whenever I think about how long ago destiny 1 came out and the hour I sunk into it
3:43 Dude you nailed it right on the head. D1 just had a different feel to it, and I wish D2 would have kept some of that old art style and mystery.
I literally have not booted up d1 since the night before d2 launch. I’m gonna do it! So many good memories with d1, it was a special game.
Classic D1, I would play it in a heartbeat. Miss DTS, listened to it while travelling between calls. Good content thank you.
Listening to you reminiscing about those years brings a tear to my eye. The D1 content and DTS you put out were things I looked forward to every day
Thank you so much! Those were awesome times. I hope you're doing well and that life is treating you good, cheers
During holiday break there were so many ppl playing pvp. I was finding games so fast I was shocked
I met my now husband on D1 back when the first raid dropped so it will always have a special place in my heart
I actually know a few people that have been married through playing D1
The graphics on old hardware are 50/50 technical wizardry and insane art direction.
I’m installing this on my PS5 right now. Really excited to relive the OG Destiny.
Thank you for all the awesome content and memories

Thanks for this video. I love your content. I miss DTS

D1 Moments of Triumph/ April update was one of the single greatest updates/ revivals of a game of all time. Miss those days.
I have like 2500 hours in Destiny 1. Loved this game and love the memories now. D2 is not the same anymore. Also, the intro music in D1 is much better than in D2.

Please spare us. This game should never be remastered.
Why a remaster, just play it again, it's just better even in graphics than destiny 2
bro the nostalgia is crazy
Good memories. Fanboyed so hard when I played IB with you in the fireteam the one time. Hahaha
I remember that!!! Man those were good times, I miss that PvP, I feel like I could grind it so much
man d1 is one of the best games I've ever played with some of my best experiences and memories
The d1 tower was layout was way better. Everything was so close together.
I hope one day I'll be able to go back to d1 and finish all te raids that I never got to finish cause I didn't have a raid team
So much nostalgia

Such a great community behind this game
destiny 1 will always hold a special place in my heart to the point where hearing the title music makes me tear up
I remember when the game got revealed at E3 back then.
Destiny 1 just had a vibe man, some of my favourite memories were on this game. Good times.
I finally found the heart to listen to the final episode a few months ago. Thanks for the good times
I play it on rare occasions, but I don't stick around for more than an hour. The Taken events were quite nostalgic though.
Gosh those were the days
i am in tears from nostalgia thank you
Gosh this filled me with Nostalgia, I remember playing this when it first dropped. Played all the way thru Croats End, then I moved to PC.
I don't comment that much on YT videos, but I remember your voice and I loved your podcast back in the day! I was neck deep in Destiny at the time as well. Great memories!
Some of my friends that began D1 with me in 2014, have decided to fire it back up. Can not wait to.join them and relive the good ole days!
In 1 week I had more than 65 new friends all playing D1 in 2023 🤗
I wish this era never ended it was the one game I literally made sooo many friends and now family too it was a great time in gaming
My brother played Destiny for years since it came out and I’d always watch him. I haven’t started playing until a few weeks ago, and I can’t believe I wasn’t into it when I was younger. It’s such an addicting game once you get used to it.
What’s it about?
But first i wanna explain why it matters:
If you manage to "uninstall" rise of iron, you can turn the vendors inventory into year 2 inventory, so you can get all the year 2 stuff. (Some of them are insanely good for PVE, outclassing the year 3 shotguns by a lot for example). I am a hardcore grinder.
I know, that these things matter:
- Your disc version (Vanilla, Taken King or Rise of Iron)
- Your Console
- Your installed Destiny Version
- Your digital Versions of the game.
I Would love if you or someone else could tell me more about that.
(Nice video by the way)
Ahhhh man!!! I was a destiny 1 and 2 launch vet, that title screen…instant goosebumps. I miss this game. Anyone still playing in 2023??
Man my heart is so happy and so sad at the same time! I've lost a member of the Fireteam since this game but seeing this all brings back so many fantastic memories 😭
Hung Jury with firefly on your hands...Dark Drinker on the back and you felt unstoppable. Good memories... that feeling is totally missing nowadays.
I miss this game man. That soundtrack sends me back to the golden age of my teen years
I've been replaying it here lately and honestly it's nice seeing people going back to the game.
