Y’all have gotten a Seahawks fan to commit to a whole podcast episode about a Cardinals rebuild, testament to how entertaining y’all are lol. Found y’all last offseason and can’t wait for another ride especially since the Seahawks got a lot more interesting 🫡
Plus the Asst. GM is David Sears that was head of Lions scouting, so he was a big part of building up their team. Cardinals actually have a bunch of real football guys between the coaches and the new front office. If MHJ isn't there I wouldn't be surprised if they trade back a couple spots at all. I think they'll take MHJ if he falls to them though.
I'm a Lions fan and I totally know that feeling. Trust me in a couple years when you see a draft pick and go "well I don't understand this pick at all, but I trust the GM" it's such a weird way of thinking
Love this series! I think a great idea would be to do one more team and follow them along for the off season. Do free agents, do a draft board, cap maneuvers the whole thing. Call it adopt a team and follow a different teams like that every off season.
Love this series! As a longtime Cardinals fan and PFF subscriber, it was fun to see you guys struggle with the Cards picks the same way I do. After way too many mock drafts on my part, I would draft Kris Jenkins instead of Mitchell and Sweat instead of Polk. I love Colson, but I would not be surprised if the Cards even traded up half a round for Trotter because he seems like a prototypical Gannon LB. I'm glad you recognized that the Cards' Edge group is not as bad as their stats might suggest. If you look back at the Cards' season, their sack production dropped off a cliff after their D line "starters" went down and they were left with an XFL D line (although all those guys played hard). Even with a free agent DT or 2, they still need to draft 2 more DTs to get to 5 competent rotation pieces, which should let their Edge guys be at least NFL average. Also, on DJ Humphries, he has a complicated ACL with additional (MCL?) damage, I believe. I read he is not even getting his ACL surgery until March. I doubt he is ready to play until late in the season, which is his last contract season with the Cards. I'd be surprised if they keep him, which is to say I love the trade down and Alt pick.
I'm a British fan of the show. Thanks guys. A suggestion for team centric would be guest mock draft (do 33 picks this year, to get the panthers) which you did in your first year of the pod. 1 episode for each pick and then do an episode with the teams that don't have first round picks.
I’d love to see this continue in a mini series. Maybe a “prolong” your franchise for the final 4 teams. (Chiefs, Ravens, 49ers, Lions) How can they keep their window open? Talking draft, FA, cap casualties. I’d love that!!!
As a Giants fan, I'd make this #4 #6 trade in a heartbeat, and as a Giants fan, this is an absolutely killer Cardinals draft. Fix the Giants next, y'all! #praisebetoAlt
Ryan Poles stated in his end of year press conference that "Jaylon isn't going anywhere". He is the only player in consideration for the franchise tag if it comes to that but it probably won't. Second fix your franchise pod where you've mentioned the Bears letting their pro bowl corner just walk out the door.
You guys got me watching rebuilds of franchises I don’t really care about and even the Commanders (I‘m a Giants fan). However, I hereby want to formally request "Fixing the New York Giants".
On a no trad mock 3 round: I went Joe Alt as MHJr was taken. 27) Byron Murphy II 35) Keon Coleman 66) Kingsley Suamataia 71) Mike Sainristil 90) Blake Corum
Great show, Am I the only one that saw you got the record wrong. We won 4 games not 3 lol. 3 wins with Kyler 1 with Dobbs. Thanks for cards love. You’re my newest subscription.
Long-time listener of the pod (Trevor, I've been a fan since the Locked On NFL Draft days with Benjamin Solak). Love the work you and Connor are doing, and I was able to get media credentials to the Senior Bowl. Hoping to see you guys in Mobile.
Interesting to hear your takes on DJ Humphries. As a Cardinals fan I have absolutely no idea what we do with him but I think that decision is probably going to be one of the more pivotal factors of this off-season for us. I could see an argument to get rid of him considering: 1.) How late in the season his injury occurred meaning he probably won't be back in the starting lineup til halfway through the season 2.) we have Kelvin Beachum with 3 years of starting RT experience on this team along with PJJ having played LT at Ohio State. 3.) We have 3 top 40 picks in this draft and it's a strong O-line draft from what I've heard meaning we could get a high level guy to compete with Beachum for the starting tackle spot opposite PJJ.
I would love the shorts on 1v1 reviews with initial thoughts and if anyone wow’d you. What guards are showing center versatility? Small school standouts. What running backs could rotate carries year 1? Any guy you feel forced to jump up in your rankings? Who’s answered questions you had coming in? Who’s left you with more questions vs their tape? I’ve got lots more shorts ideas 😂
Always love these deep dives! So informative as someone getting back into football after falling off hard for several years. Would love to see a fixing the giants 🤙🏻
@NFLStockExchange: While I love the "Fixing the ____" series, a "Making the Leap" series would be really interesting. This would focus on teams that are on the bubble of either the playoffs and/or the Super Bowl. How did they get there and what do they need to make that next step to win the championship.
Darius Robinson, Missouri, edge/DT 6'5" 290lbs ELITE first guy off the bus body! Verified he plans to come into combine around 285lbs and run with IDL. another great video fellas!
My favorite example of the 'gms just lie all the time'.. Watch what Keim / Kingsbury said about Rosen before they drafted Kyler.. they were talking about being 100% in on Rosen while in the drivers seat to grab Kyler in a month lol
As a Cardinals fan I am on the side of drafting a LT with the 1st pick, thank you for the great insight on then Cardinals, and I love the two WR picks in the mock draft, thank you guys.
As a cards fan, agree on Rondale Moore. We root for the guy, keep waiting for him to do good things consistently, he passes the eye test on certain plays occasionally, but at some point you need to just move on. Might get a late round pick for him?
I tweeted this awhile back but this team gives me the same vibe the Lions did three years ago when they brought in Holmes and Campbell. They are more than competent in the front office, coaching staff gets most out of their guys, and despite there record they didn’t roll over for anyone
Maybe a somewhat casual question but you briefly mentioned Chris Jones in the FA section and I realized I haven’t heard a ton of talk yet on either your show or others (PFF, bootleg, etc) about what his situation will be next year. From your knowledge, is he likely to end up signing a shorter vs longer term deal? Any chance of staying in KC? Are things dependent on how this postseason run finishes? Likely landing spots outside of Arizona (I’d love Chris jones in that Jets line but I’m assuming the money isn’t possible)? I’d love to hear y’all’s thought and big fan of the show!!
Nice draft, don’t think you moved far enough back with your trade back though. We can move PJJ back to left tackle and could’ve addressed right tackle somewhere between 11 and 15 :-) think it would’ve turned out better that way.
As a cardinals fan and knowing a ton about the team, DJ hasn’t even had surgery yet he’ll miss a ton of next season so I think they move off of him. They’ll keep Conner and Budda hopefully. They can’t really create much cap so I think they’ll be very picky on who they get. I lowkey do hope they get a big name like a Christian Wilkins, but I think they’ll make more signings like a Kyzir White esque signing where it’s cheaper guys but are starter level players. (Hopefully I’m wrong 😂). Also I think Hollywood brown will be back mostly because him and Kyler have a good relationship so he’ll vouch for him to come back. I think they’ll end up keeping Rondalle Moore also just cause gannon does like him. Loved the video thank you for making this
That Vikings 2020 draft doesn’t seem insane but there are some solid players from that especially later on. KJ, Wonnum, metellus, if lynch could stay healthy he could show off
I desperately need you guys to do a Fixing the New York Giants. Please. Need to hear your takes on Daniel Jones, Saquon, and who they can target in the draft to finally fix this thing and save Brian Daboll's job
Need at least 2 DL and 1 edge rusher, crazy to double down on WR and grab an ILB with the 3rd round pick with such glaring need on the DLine/ pass rush. Granted you said that you assume cards sign a big time DL, still leaves 2 spots on the DLine and no no.1 pass rusher
The golf course I work at has a rule where employee guests can only play golf a certain amount of times per month and when I was going to the starter I panicked and told him my friends name was Connor Rodgers 😂so just FYI you can only play Barton Creek CC two more times my guy
Imo James Conner was the best player on the team last year. Would be a mistake to move on from him. You’d be losing a veteran leader and a playmaker. And I do think Michael Carter is gonna surprise a lot of people next year
This is random but I figured if anyone would know it's you guys. When you're looking to compare someone's height/weight metric against historical data to determine which percentile they are, how do you do that?
I think the pats are gonna call up the cards and make them swap picks with some additional day 2 capital. Cards ensure they get Harrison and pats still get their qb plus some additional picks
Loved it fellas, lifelong Cards fan here. Couple questions for you. Do you think Humphries could move to Guard if you draft Alt? We have a massive hole at LG/C. And do you think with all that capital, they could trade up from 27 to go get a premier DL or CB? I know that’s hard in the simulator but I think it’s very possible. But yeah, I think if MHJ is gone at 4, I def believe they move back a bit to get more assets.
Looks like you did 7" fix your franchises". You telling me content creators don't want content ideas? You gotta do 19 more mock drafts? Easy. Do a "Tweak your Team" episode for all non-playoff teams you don't dedicate a full podcast for. To make it fit in a sub-2 hour episode, break it up by Conference
Christian Wilkins for 20 a year for 5 years would be my major choice if I was the Cardinals. It would have been hard for me to pass on Keon Coleman at 35 because I think he is a top 20 player in this class and a top 5 wr in this class. My team!!!! Can’t wait to listen to this tomorrow at work.

Exactly same
Sameeee lol
Fellow Seahawks fan. Same.
“Game days are simply aerobics classes for this dude!” Great line, Trev
For the first time since Dennis Green was making the picks, I actually have optimism in our talent evaluation. It’s a strange feeling.
From a 9ers fan, I'm deeply and profoundly concerned 😂
Plus the Asst. GM is David Sears that was head of Lions scouting, so he was a big part of building up their team. CARDINALS GONTA SUPER BAWWLLLL
Thank you for doing the cardinals
Love this as a Cardinals fan! Thanks guys!
I think if Monti gets those extra picks, he's gonna trade up from 27 to maybe the teens to pick up a legit defender
Just started watching you guys a couple weeks ago and I aint looking back. Yall are awesome
Same, I just discovered them very recently. Really like what they do.
... and we are watching from Germany as well! Great work , love this series, keep it going guys.
I would be so happy if Calais came back to AZ. Even if it was only for this year. One of my favorite Cardinals ever.
Dude should have never been let walk... but you know... keim..
From a 9er fan, keep him the hell away from the NFC west. He and Fitz used to torture them.

Especially because the run is so important. They can put up 30 points with mid receivers if Kyler has time.
listening from germany ❤🇩🇪👌🏽
Nice job.
The cap space that most people are expecting is the standard adjustment plus a cut of DJ humphreys or at least a reworked deal to save money there.
"thanks for watching, no draft for you"

A good idea for all star games/practices is like a pump/dump stock or stock up stock down on players you watch.
love the input gents
2023 Rams also had 14 draft picks. 11 of them were day 3 picks, but they still ended up getting a ton of contributors

Been waiting MONTHS for this drop. I’m that excited for this rebuild. Harrison Jr and Brian Burns in a tag and trade would be Christmas for cards fans
Think CAR would accept such a late 1st? They seem like their asking price is always super high.
Bryce huff is more likely then burns
Thank you for an amazing breakdown of my red birds :)
You should do all the teams that fire their coach at very least… very enjoyable!
How to turn the Ravens into a full-fledged dynasty would be a welcome episode topic.

Warching this all the way from Brazil. Please do the Seahawks
If what all you fixed and picked for them, the Cardinals would be very competitive next year 👍🏻
divisional offseason outlook shows would be cool. mini mock draft, FA targets etc
Nice draft, don’t think you moved far enough back with your trade back though. We can move PJJ back to left tackle and could’ve addressed right tackle somewhere between 11 and 15 :-) think it would’ve turned out better that way.
Is Trevor thinking of the Tag Heuer add? "Timeless in every way"
Great pod as always. Would definitely love some shrine bowl/senior bowl content and more positional rankings

I love how the trade up for Daniels convo went and then they didn’t even take him😂
worth noting the cardinals still have kelvin beachum, so they could definitely cut humphries and see what happens in the draft.
That Vikings 2020 draft doesn’t seem insane but there are some solid players from that especially later on. KJ, Wonnum, metellus, if lynch could stay healthy he could show off

I'd be curious how you both view the state of the packers and what you would do with their 11 draft picks this year?
Kyzir white 100 percent an impact player.. was on pace to lead team in tackles and TFLs
Imo James Conner was the best player on the team last year. Would be a mistake to move on from him. You’d be losing a veteran leader and a playmaker. And I do think Michael Carter is gonna surprise a lot of people next year

Made me chuckle that Michael Carter (Jets social media content legend) was the Card’s 2nd highest rated player.
Lol 🤣🤣🤣 great way to start the video 😂😂

Literally what I would do if Marv is not available. Trade the pick and take Alt
How is the "Trade Acceptance" meter NOT based upon the difference in pick points?
Looks like you did 7" fix your franchises".

For that number 66 pick… I would definitely have gone Suamataia.
He was literally number one on Bruce feldman’s freaks list.
Which to me, probably makes him a first round pick in the real draft.
His physical ability would strengthen their line even if it means he needs a year to develop.
