May I suggest ( and maybe also showing us here ) installing a Wideband Air/Fuel meter. It is critical when doing all these engine mods, and essential for tuning the ECU. Like the Innovate #3822 LC-2. It is invaluable for tuning, and might just save your motor if A/F is off. It may "feel" right, but you won't know it's wrong until it's too late.
In surprised you haven't done the M50l manifold swap. I did mine a while back and it made a big difference. Highly recommend! Love the channel and your beautiful M3.
Ha! Nevermind. I clearly hadn't finished the video when I posted that. Good choice. Warning...the manifold is like a rats nest underneath. I've done two of them and it's my least favorite job on these cars. Wear gloves as your hands will get chewed up down there.
I swapped the m50 manifold, cams on my 328 and you’ll like the way it’ll sound and the higher end power, and I have an RK tune and get the burple tune you get, it’s perfect
Yes!!! I have a 99 tiag m3 and I recently purchased a m50 intake and plan to go with a RK time. I’m just going to wait and see how you like it! Great vid as always.
It does cost more money to modify a RK tune. Maybe you're just a special star. Also, I found the Alpina tune to out perform the Dinan, and RK. What do I know, I just did the cross analysis on a dyno, the street, a road trip, and three track days lol
Did a back to back comparison of a conforti/turner tune vs AA and found the conforti to make way more power. Especially mid range torque. I'm a 95M with intake, 3.5 HFM, full exhaust, cams. I thought the general consensus on Dinan software was that it sucked. Usually don't find too many people using it.
In the 10 years I've been hanging out on the BMW community, I've never heard a MAF called an HFM. Have fun with the tune! I'm presently working on tuning my e36 M3 myself with Rom Raider, it's surprisingly easy to do.
Certain BMWs didn't have MAFs in OBD1, for example, the m42 318is, or any m20, m30 and m10 motor, m70 and more. They have a HFM ( alloy box with a flap and a sensor) , perhaps you haven't been paying attention.
I can tell you're installing m50 manifolds... I think I'm gonna do that(I know someone who knows the owner of kasselperformance). just manual swapped my 328is, so I got transmission and engine codes. on top of that, I need to change my driveshaft center support bearing and I'm having suspicions that my transmission has worn synchros in 2nd. can I get a rip in the chat plz but seriously though, if you install the m50 manifolds without the $300 kit, make a video on how to custom fabricate it cuz I wanna learn too😂
Dope vid as always man.. I might have to try out RK as well.. Hey man how's your oil consumption?.. you drive like me for sure and have very little if any. Car had a replaced cvv when I bought her and switching to 5-40 has been it I'm sure.. keep em coming
Thanks man! When I ran Mobil 1 0w-40 I had about a quart of oil consumption in 3k miles. I switched to Rotella T6 5w-40. and have absolutely no oil consumption now.
@@TreatsOnTheStreets Sweet! Thanks man that's what I thought.. I'm using a Valvoline 5-40 but that rotella is great and so cheap.:I'm making the switch
Are you able to still drive the car while they’re tuning it? I wanna do this to my e36 but it’s my only means of transportation and if I can’t drive it while they’re tuning it then I can’t do it 🥴
1000% worth it. I rarely drive at low rpm, and my s52 has woken up with a m50 swap. I never noticed that it was choked at higher rpms until now. above 3500 it is a completely different car
Rom Raider and MS41 Quickflash , learn how to tune yourself... I just learned how to tune my 1999 E36 Rotrex C30 Supercharged M3 ....over the weekend... romraider community is pretty good for our cars and theres a German youtuber thats shows you how to tune the car (our E36 M3) yourself...
This tune is practically "useless" because nothing big has been changed to the engine. The popular M50 manifold swap will allow you to gain more horsepower in the name of torque, which is why even on M3 (US) or M52 (Euro) engines, the M50 manifold benefits from better intake/ exhaust cams. The stock cams are better suited with the stock intake manifold. Once you get to cams then a remap will allow you to get better gains. Even AFe upgrade kits follow in the same theme, if you get the manifold, you gotta get cams/injectors/HFM/intake and then remap.
@@MrXeleris1 Literally all of us get it. I have a true CAI and a m50 manifold installed. 42lb injectors sitting in a box, waiting on cams, Porsche maf and TB, headers and finally, remap
Getting a tune from a good company if you don't already have one can give you better throttle response, fuel economy, and power-- especially if you have some mods to go with it.
Love this channel so much. It's like a cool niche for all the E36 M3 owners out there.
Jordan's the man! Going to have my car tuned on his Dyno in a few months.

M50 intake manifold I did this to the 328i I own totally worth it
big difference especially above 4k!
I just bought a 98 328ic and this will be my first mod with cold air intake
Good luck 🍀👍 with the mods.
I'm excited to see what you do? 🤔

I love my e36 m3 even more because of videos like this!

Wow! Looking at your car,...those 'headlights' really set-off the front! Makes me want a T-Silver E36 M3!

Man I'm in love with this channel ❤ keep the good work ❤😍
Thanks man will do!
Thank you for your amazing videos

RK>dinan
what is that intake? looks super clean. also i’m a 328 owner, is the m50 manifold swap worth it?? and why? plan on boosting in the future
It's a dinan carbon fiber intake. I'm doing the m50 manifold swap video soon so stay tuned for all my thoughts and info!

When you download rk tunes but your computer starts spitting flames 🔥😂
that merc exhaust bout to go mia

M50 mani?
😏👍
install it already man my e46 328ci is getting a M50 manifold also!! :D
Also do a before and after dyno run with the m50 manifold
Treats On The Streets just make sure you get the billet manifold kit from turner and skip the bimmerworld kit
The rhd itb kit is the route I think I want to go on my m3
Secret part? You mean an OBD1 intake?
How long did it take for the tune to arrive after you ordered it?
About a week
My guess is the Euro HFM mod
Was your computer at windows 10 when you read and flashed your ecu?
Not at the time but I have read and flashed ecu's on both 8 and 10
Did you had to jump pin 14 and 18 on the round pin connector to get connected your ecu to the laptop?
The instructions from RK had me install a tap that connected a few pins so I could write the ecu, but I don't exactly remember which pins they were.

finally someone else who understands that these tunes are utterly useless unless you have upgraded your hardware

Did his file not raise the rev limiter? You should be able to rev to 7200 now.
I have been able to since I got the car. The Dinan software had the raised limiter as well, I just don't hit it all the time 😅
What front lip is that?
Check the description for a link 👌
What trunk lip is that?
What headlights do you have and where can I get them?
Stay tuned! I'll be making a video all about that soon with details and a link!
Woah another utah local?
Haha you bet. It's a great place to live.
I’m in Orem representing the 4 door 1994 E36 325i in alpineweiß III
I'm in SLC with a E36 325i 1993 fitted with all M3 parts and possible s52 swap 👀
Why tune it ? Couple Extra BhP ?
Getting a tune from a good company if you don't already have one can give you better throttle response, fuel economy, and power-- especially if you have some mods to go with it.
To get back the torque lost down low from the m50 swap mainly, with basic mods like the m50 mani
What cold air intake do you have ?
Dinan. It's the carbon fiber version they don't make anymore
Welp, I guess I’m getting an e36 m3.
Stand alone ECU all day.
