I always thought this spell was OP but I never realized it took a full minute to cast. As for the holy water ceremony spell you still need the powdered silver to create the holy water so ceremony is not a free holy water the cleric still needs the silver along with the spell.

"blessed by a priest of a certain ranking" That's what clerics are. Holy water's always 25gp to make with the ceremony spell, so if somebody's spending the 100 to cast _four ceremonies_ necessary to make _one_ magic circle, they deserve it.
One of my favorite things I have ever done to players was when the group decided to try and threaten the BBEG who was a greater devil, and put themselves in a magic circle to keep themselves safe. The Devil saw the circle and decided to start slowly knocking out the supports for the cathedral they were in, forcing them to run out of the building and circle.
You can try to use in combination with Infernal Calling. If your check succeeds against the devil succeeds you can step put of the circle. If not, just wait it out and hope that in the meantime, the devil finds your nearby enemies and attacks them and NOT lure them to your location ;)
@@devonthurgood9381 Powdered Silver or iron, not sugar. Also holy water is more useful then powdered silver, as it can be used for other spells, or used as a weapon. And when I said they still need the powdered silver, you need 25gp of powdered silver to make holy water.

It says that the powdered silver is used up it doesn’t really say that about the holy water
You still need the powdered silver, and it still costs 100 gold to cast. I really don't see the problem with the players making the holy water.
It said powdered sugar 'or' holy water, implying if you have one, you don't need the other.
