    I tailored in what Taylor said in the video:
    * "It's easier to create a design for SEO than it is to create SEO for a design"
    * Etsy will prioritize the listing that match the exact keyword phrase in both your title and tags.
    * Words that are at the beginning of the title are considered more important.
    * Avoid describing your item specifically in our title/tags, instead focus on what the buyer would be searching for. Try to target the exact query match.
    * Gets title and tags from the search suggestions of Etsy and from your competitors as long as they are relevant.
    * Your title on Etsy is great for targetting the exact query match whereas your tags are for broadening your reach.
    * Your tags will be rearranged in different keyword combinations to rank your product in other areas of Etsy.
    * Your tags do not have to make sense grammatically. Try to add in as many diverse words that could expand your reach as long as they are relevant. Do this after repeating the keywords from your title into your tags.
    * If creating multiple listings for the same sub-niche, reuse the same seo as long as it's relevant.

    Thanks so much for doing this video! I have to say that your SEO for Etsy is by far the most informative and process I've EVER came across on RUclips! I totally can get with your process, and with lots of practice, I finally can see myself getting better! You have definitely given me hope that maybe, just maybe I can start making more sales. I'm an artist and recently started my Etsy shop...I've only gotten 14 sales and they've been so sporadic...Hopefully, what I learned today, with practice, I will start getting more consistent sales! Again, thanks! This is such a GREAT job tutorial or how-to for me! Blessings!

    Hi Taylor! Sorry to say this will be a long comment but I have to share this with you! I have been doing tons of research on Etsy and POD for the longest time and, although I have learned a lot from others, a lot of the information was very broad and sometimes hard to follow. I actually first saw you when you did the interview with Philip on Print on Demand Wisdom. I was so tuned in to listening that I didn't even check the description to see the link to your channel but the entire time I was watching I was like "who is this girl and where has she been?" and "please let her have her own channel!" Luckily, I found you and you have been nothing but amazing since! The amount of information you've helped me gain and the confidence I have now is through the roof and I can't thank you enough! I just purchased your niche calendar and I may be joining the mentorship soon! THANKS AGAIN!!

    Thank you Taylor for sharing this video with us. I really found it helpful ❤😊. Question, I didn’t see where you found the “titles” that you added to the SEO, for example that “cheap inexpensive” title that customers are searching for. Would you mind sharing where and how you found it? Is it on the tags of other listings?
    Thanks 😊 😅

    I just stumbled on to your videos and love how down-to-earth you are and how well you explain everything! My question is, is it better to narrow down to only a few products for a few different niches? Every time I watch a RUclips video and they showcase something that is selling really well, I create a design for that. I feel like my shop is all over the place with products and maybe I need to only focus on a few. Interestingly, the only products that have sold in my store are 3 of my PNG files, a crochet pattern and an actual crocheted plant that was popular last year.

    • @TaylorPOD
      @TaylorPOD  9 месяцев назад +1

      I recommend sticking with only one product type to start and extending that one product type into multiple niches. So happy to have you here and thank you for watching!

    Great video! Mad I waited so long to watch it. Your explanations and advice are easy and precise and most of all...make sense!!
    I have heard many on YT say to not touch your tags and title as it can "reset" your algorithm, however after watching this video, I know that some of mine definitely need relooked at. What are your thoughts on redoing listongs that are already up? Or do you recommend just redoing the tags and titles and making it a new listing? Essentially having 2 of the same listing up, but with sifferent SEO on each.

    • @TaylorPOD
      @TaylorPOD  7 месяцев назад

      I generally won't 'redo' a listing until it expires (4 months). I check my expired listings every so often and evaluate if the design is still something I feel confident in and if it's something I feel is even worth redoing or if I just want to delete the listing entirely.
      As far as duplicating a listing and testing it out with new tags and titles, I think thats a great thing to do as far as testing out SEO.

    • @TaylorPOD
      @TaylorPOD  9 месяцев назад

      Ooooof, that's a complicated answer for me. It depends (I know, this answer sucks). I feel it's relative to competition. I am not necessarily going to shy away from something that only has 300 searches for example if it only has 1000 competition, as an example. I guess if I had to put a number on the 'lowest' I'd day no less than 250.

    Thank you for your fantastic videos, I love how down-to-earth you are. My question is, how do you implement your Title/Tags into your description? I was always told that words from both title and tags needed to be in your product description.

    • @TaylorPOD
      @TaylorPOD  9 месяцев назад +1

      Listing descriptions aren’t as important to your overall SEO. It can be great to sprinkle in your keywords in the top of your description how they fit naturally (in sentence form, I wouldn’t just keyword stuff there). However, I wouldn’t overthink what you write. I like to use ChatGPT to come up with them for me.

    Hey Taylor...I have come across a few coaches who recommend NOT including commas in the title because Etsy will then grab many additional longtail and shorttail phrases that are combos of words found in your title. Do you agree with this? Here is an example: Plant Sweatshirt Gardener Gift Plant Lady Plant Lover Nature Shirt Botanical Shirt. Considering the overlap you have these combos - plant sweatshirt, plant, sweatshirt gardener gift, gardener, gardener gift, plant lady, plant lover, nature shirt, nature, shirt botanical, botanical. This may not be the best example but I'm curious if you agree that no commas may give you more combos, expanding the search possibilities.

    • @TaylorPOD
      @TaylorPOD  9 месяцев назад

      If there is a keyword phrase that can be combined with another to make a long tail keyword - absolutely! Leave out the commas. It never will hurt to try to rank for additional phrases. 😊

    I’ve seen a lot of Etsy people on RUclips say that repeating your keyword in your tags from your title is a waste of space and to use different tags than your title. Which one is right? What does Etsy say to do?

    • @FamilyDinnerDelights
      @FamilyDinnerDelights 6 месяцев назад

      I love your channel by the way! Just found it and I’m watching all the videos :)

    • @TaylorPOD
      @TaylorPOD  6 месяцев назад

      Hey! Thanks for watching! I recommend reading the article I reference in the video, it’s linked in the description. Etsy says that listings that rank highest are ones that match BOTH the title and tags to the search query a customer is searching for. Which is why my strategy involves having the same keywords in both. 😊
