      i never thought of it like that, i always preffered the standard dialogue, without the singing, it gives his sacrifice just a touch more awesome to not break down crying.

    ‘I made a mistake!’ What gets me is how Mordin uses ‘I’ for once in his dialogue. Normally he truncates his speech. That little addition shows he’s been struggling with his choices.

      lot more to go for against saren. then in me3 i make the ultimate decision of killing mordin because wrev its just a ticking time bomb. also miranda i make sure she dies in me3. just more drama. the better. thats how i like it gotta have some

    Mordin Solus: the very model of a scientist salarian, but not only that. He was the very model of a great man; a man who cared about everyone, even those who considered him an enemy; a man willing to do what he knew to be right, no matter the cost; a man who instead of putting himself above others, used his gifts for one of the most noblest cause there is: to correct a mistake. And in addition to all that, he was the very model of a TRUE friend. Goodbye Mordin, may you find peace at last.

      Views aren't everything and you're missing the point. When you ask someone what they like about Mass Effect they'll most likely say the story or the characters, only a few will praise or even mention the sound track. I'm just saying it doesn't get enough credit elsewhere, other than here or the other videos.

      +General Maul But there is a thing, the ME soundtracks are just so touching for people who played the games, because makes them remember of those awesome scenes, if you got someone who has never played the games to hear, he\she will just find that cool. Or if you put someone who never watched Pirates of Caribbean or Lords of the Rings to hear some of the musics of the movies, this person will have goosepumps anyways, because the sounds of these movies are goddanming awesone, you dont need to remember any scene to find that epic, wich is the case of Mass Effect.

    The krogan were also given worlds within the Terminus systems close the volus and turians. Krogan birthrates an aggressive expansion was what led to them to encroach upon Council territory and led to varied brushfire conflicts and then the Rebellions. What the COuncil races did counted as genocide but the alternative would have been extinction. Mordin is a hero because he gave the Krogan their future back, knowing that the Reaper War, Wrex and Bakara woudl cause the Krogan to adapt positively.

    you forget that the purpose of the genophage was to iron out Krogan aggression and keep the population from exploding like it did prior to the Rebellions. The alternative was the entire destruction of the Krogan race in a disastrous war for both sides. Mordin knew that the only alternative was the genophage but now he knows it is no longer needed as the Reaper War is the turning point for the Krogan species. He is a tragic hero who held a great burden.

    No, it's you who forgot that Mordin didn't made the initial genophage as he is not thousand years old. Krogan were slowing adapting to genophage by natural means, which they obsoltely need to survive on a very dangerous Tuchanka. Genophage changed the circumstances for once, it's shortsightedness to simply assume history does only repeats itself which is what Reapers stand for. What Mordin eventually learned about genophage was that he "made a mistake" in the past, much before Reapers showed up.

  • @theQuestion626
    @theQuestion626 11 лет назад

    actually i never insinuated that Mordin created the genophage but I should have specified that his role was simply to adapt the genophage to counteract the Krogan's remarkable adaptability to it. The krogan were too aggressive and through their remarkable reproductive ability too expansionistic; ergo a deadly combination that would lead to their destruction. Mordin helped to counteract that. It's ethically problematic but still the right choice at the time.

  • @dre38w
    @dre38w 11 лет назад

    I agree with you more or less, but you can't deny that it was pretty epic the way they set up his [Mordin's] death. However, I am not entirely happy with the way Thane died. But it might of been appropriate given all the circumstances, his illness, the prayer reading, the peacefulness, but it just felt unjustified for him to die in a hospital. But then again, he got to die peacefully, with loved ones, which is what he wanted, not to die in battle. All in all, the game was fucking amazing. lmao

    To me, Mordin barely had any dignity to die with. He was obviously responsible for genophage modification, which Maleon calls "cultural genocide". The sacrifices made by Tarquin Victus, Eve, Grunt, Kirrahe and Thane (if they did in your playthrough that is) even Legion simply meant more, as they did on their own initiative and without carrying any burden from their past "mistakes". Mordin on the other hand, will have a tragicomical tombstone.

    Oh yeah he is an assassin for hire. And he actually tries to justify his position with bullshit like:
    "My employers killed them. My body was only the tool they used. If you kill a man with a gun, do you hold the gun responsible"
    BTW, I am best character in the game!
