  • Toronto has some great places to do some shore fishing. There's no need to drive 2-3 hours north when you can bike, walk, or take the TTC down to the lake. Every time I'm out casting along the shores of Lake Ontario, people always stop and tell/ask me, "I never knew there was fish in here, have you caught anything today?" Enjoy the video. Many more to come. Tight lines!

PUMP KNOWS I agree that you need to be extremely respectful when fishing within a marina. I talk to every single person that walks by, especially those you own boats there. Many times it's usually them that initiate the conversation. They either tell me where they've seen fish or how they didn't realize shore fishing in Toronto was so good. If you're respectful to them and their property, then it's not a big deal if you're cautious. There's a difference between fishing at the marina and in between and under boats. If anyone ever tells you to move, then you move and find somewhere else to fish. You can always fish the lake side vs the marina side. I've met a lot of people at various marinas and have gone fishing with some of them after trading contact information. It's all about respect.

+Brian Tran Opportunities Galore. I've realized that anywhere along the lake holds fish. I simply open google maps and try fishing anywhere that's accessible by car. Check out www.wheretofish.ca. It's a good place to start. The best thing to do is try as many spots as you can. That's part of the fun. I even go back to spots where I've never caught fish because you never know. Even spots where I've caught fish on some days produce nothing. But that's the thing about fishing, it's fun even if you catch anything.
