So changed the purge valve on my '07 accent, cleared code. Went away for a week, and vehicle feels smoother. Same code (P0455) came back, still feels as smooth though. Guess I will clean cap now? Odd code came back while feeling better..

Hi, I am getting this code on my Hyundai Accent 2008. I changed the purge, the fuel cap. After thoses changes error was cleared but two weeks ago Code reappeared. What else can I do?
I have a 2000 Hyundai Elantra and YES it’s the only code I’m getting and I did what Phany did. I had smog test in December of 2022 and it wasn’t ready cuz I had replaced the battery in 2021. It doesn’t hit the highway so when it wasn’t ready for the test. I had to drive it on the highway for 3 days. After that it passed and now I can’t get rid of this code P0455. I appreciate any feedback. In 2022 I also replaced the canister cuz the fuel pump kept stopping and since I was there I replaced the valve underneath.
@@itsxing1 not yet. The light went off and I think it came back on. For me it all started with not being able to fill up at the pump. When I replaced the canister all the charcoal was coming out. Being I was down there I replaced the valve. Filling up was back to normal. It wasn’t tell I had to smog it. Which it passed. But I had to drive it 50 miles on the highway due to replacing the battery and the car wasn’t ready for smog test. It wasn’t tell a few weeks later the engine light came on. So I did the gas cap and the purge valve under the hood. Resetting the code with each of them. The light went off after two weeks but I think it’s still on. With code P0455 (large evap leak) if I come up with a resolution I’ll let you know 👍
@@1eyerasta I did the same as you, changed the purge on under the hood, but I also replaced the canister purge valve in the back of the car near the back left tire. I have a 2007 Hyundai accent. The check engine light went away, but came back after months and now my possibly solutions r any leaks in any hoses, gas cap (I think this might fix my problem), or charcoal canister. I used to have an issue where my car would struggle to start up and idle right after I filled up my tank back when I had this first had this code, but now that doesn’t happen. If I find a solution I’ll let you know as well
Sooner or later you'll end up taking the car to a dealer. My car(as we speak) has same problem, smoke test showed no problems anywhere, was told to bring to dealer they have more specific diagnosing equipment. So, the question will be, how much money do you want to spend figuring this out?

Hello, we suggest checking the charcoal canister and the evap system hose for leak. Check also the condition of the fuel cap and the fuel filler neck.

I am struggling with error code p0455. I am riding a North American Santa Fe 07 model year in Korea, and there is no way to fix it.
