Considering he wrote the music himself at 17, no I don’t think we have given him too much credit. Now mimicking someone else’s music that was written over 40 years ago and practicing it over and over until it has been uploaded to RUclips with the perfect copy, that seems like credit is given too freely. Tina is very talented but she shouldn’t be mentioned in the same sentence as Eddie until she has written her own music., until then she is just copying the music of icons and her followers are none the wiser...

True, but he wrote it 42 years ago, and there was no one to imitate from back then. Musician have had 42 years to copy it. This girl is 100% amazing, but you can't compare them head to head like that. If she goes on to write world famous melodies and change the face of rock music and influence thousands of guitarists, THEN she will be in the same league as EVH.
@@jallan1407 Actually, Eruption was simply his pre-play exercise, as was the guitar intro to Hot For A Teacher, interestingly enough. Those jam sessions between him and his brother truly paid off.
OMFG! I am speechless. The original Eruption was so beautiful, energetic, complex and gave me auditory orgasms, I didnt expect it could be covered so perfectly ... EVER! I think my mouth was wide open in amazement after 0:21 or so. This girl has some amazing talents, I hope to follow her in the music industry some day.
I learned to play this solo when I was about 16, but damn, she plays it with so much ease, makes it look simple compared to what I remember....and much smoother than I was ever able to accomplish. BRAVO!
She turned 19 in april and she is concentrating on her exams. She also has finishen her guitar journey with her teacher who shot the vids as I believe. She’ll be back in music with her own stuff Im sure.
Rob Washere her last instagram post with a guitar video was in May 2018. I dont know if I can post her last name because she used to be known as Tina S only but I guess its ok now. Tina Setkic deserves all the credits.
Who would give this a thumbs down? She's really too good for rock, which I love. I wonder why she apparently switched from classical guitar to hard rock? (My son switched from rock to classical guitar to the hell with it.) Maybe she still plays a lot of classical; it really built her chops. I agree, she is the best. You go, girl. Yes, I subscribed.
+James Muncy She probably switched just because of music preference... Just because you're really good doesn't mean you can only play more complex genres. Besides that, there are still very technically advanced types of rock/metal music.
Point taken. Just as an aside: Andres Segovia thought an electric guitar an abomination. Which is why I would think most classical guitarists would abhor rock music.
I can't believe that she practiced all those zillions of hours just to get views and subscriptions. (I'm in one of my rare noncynical moods.) No, she did it to spread peace, love, and beautiful music. (Maybe I need to back off on my meds a little.)
I think there's a place for both. I love good guitar playing, but I also love a handful of Cardi B songs for her attitude and confidence. Or, at least, I DID like Cardi before she decided to be a douchebag about the time she drugged men against their will.
@@totempolejoe1 what he mean is back in the old rock days, famous musicians are truly a talent, but nowadays people just yelling Gucci gang and get famous

Tina S. playing a great, speedy Van Halen guitar solo. Just 3 weeks ago someone already noticed the dislikes and commented: "1267 people just realized that after playing all their lives, they still can't play as good as Tina S at 14". That may be true. What makes someone watch a young girl performing like this and then decide they must 'dislike' it? Imagine someone who doesn't like guitar solo's. Or even someone who believes young girls shouldn't be busy 'copying' Van Halen solo's. Even those people would normally have the decency to either click the 'like' button or click nowhere at all. But apparently, for some people, 'disliking' an obvious 14 year old talent is their default reaction. Like they are pessimists who cannot create meaning and hope from seeing a good thing happening. It's probably a generation problem. Clearly SOME 14 year old girls can play like this - some people cannot really handle that. Many of our young people today do all sorts of amazing things - in the arts or even in science. They even show us how to think with more empathy about our world. Remember 15 year old Ann Makosinski who invented a flashlight that shines just by holding it in your hand? It was an idea she had in mind for people in countries where not everyone has access to the electrical grid. So they can read a book, for instance. There are many such examples, and it tells us that there is hope, there is creativity among the new generation. How can we 'dislike' this? No: how can we be so MISSING the point? Maybe some people are just... missing the goodwill to be human.
Maybe they dislike it purely because they dislike some small part about it. Like, they can acknowledge she has talent, but believe she could improve in other ways. Maybe they prefer less wah or something.

Some of the best guitarists in the world, who have been playing decades longer than she has, would readily admit that they cannot perform some of the same feats on the fretboard that she can. She is a once in a lifetime virtuoso on the guitar. The combination of her talent, feel, speed, accuracy, dexterity and complexity is truly a gift from God. I know we’re not supposed to say this, but she's performing these covers better than some of the guitar legends who wrote them.

Van Halen: One of the greatest guitarists of all time
14yo Tina: Hold my Barbie :)
Eddies secret: He is an even better writer than he is as a guitarist.
Come on, Van halen is still way ahead
Eddie powders his nose and drinks a bottle of Jacks and says watch this...
It’s really awesome to see the young lady paying tribute to one of the all time greats!!!! She is flawless as well!!
best eruption cover ive ever seen, very quick and on point.
Great job nailing this Tina! Eddie would be so damn proud of you. Rest in Peace Eddie Van Halen!
Eddie actually responded to this video on Tina's Twitter (X) channel. I don't know if the tweet is still there.
@@bsvenss2Isn't Eddie dead though.
@@000tyr The video is 10 years old.
BRAVO!
*_Why hasn't she had a RUclips video for 2 years?_*
She's living her life now, probably... you don't expect her to keep uploading videos just cause we want her to, do you?
She turned 19 in april and she is concentrating on her exams. She also has finishen her guitar journey with her teacher who shot the vids as I believe.
She’ll be back in music with her own stuff Im sure.
ty i too wondered Amazing skills @@@Deauxtje
Rob Washere her last instagram post with a guitar video was in May 2018.
I dont know if I can post her last name because she used to be known as Tina S only but I guess its ok now. Tina Setkic deserves all the credits.
John Sampson your ‘joke’ is not funny
You nailed it perfectly! I hope you are doing well Little Lady; I just purchased my first 6 string. Ode to Tina's. Thank you!
Tina, like Oliver," Please may we have some more...?"
Beautifull mate, bloody beautifull. Thank You.
Nothing but respect ! I love this riff ! Always have and you nailed it !
Her mind is on a different channel... She is moving her fingers just because. F*cking awesome!
Plus, metal and classical music is actually quite closely related.
Point taken.
Just as an aside: Andres Segovia thought an electric guitar an abomination. Which is why I would think most classical guitarists would abhor rock music.
Rock has more audience than Classical music, simple: More views and subs.
I can't believe that she practiced all those zillions of hours just to get views and subscriptions. (I'm in one of my rare noncynical moods.) No, she did it to spread peace, love, and beautiful music. (Maybe I need to back off on my meds a little.)
We need more of this and less Cardi B
Dan Castor yes
Or Cardi B needs to learn the Lil wayne solo....It would skyrocket her career haha
Precision Broadband i don’t think it’s a racial thing, i mean for christ’s sake hendrix is one of the best guitar players out there, same for bb king... it’s just that cardi b makes extremely commercialized (and what some would call passionless) music.
Amazing! Shocked! Superb! Tina is a real Artist and don't know her talent!!! Long live Tina! Hugs from Brazil fans!!!
As a young guitarist you are my inspiration, this is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen :)
MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!! I closed my eyes and it was Eddie VanHalen playing. Congrate.
I agree Jacques, sounds just like Eddie Van Halen!
@@gsxrkz another girl Ana Vidovic is incredible too, she makes all the greats seem like beginners.
Тина,ты Умница! Какой талантище у тебя от Бога. Спасибо тебе за твой труд и исполнительское мастерство.
I've seen this clip before but I just noticed It was shot 8 years ago. Eddie Van Halen Was still with us If He saw this he would Say damn girl , It took me 45 years to get this good. Bless you young lady, Please come back!!!!
Many a soul has taken their guitar somewhere and buried it because of this fine lady. We sure do miss you Tina.
Tina S. playing a great, speedy Van Halen guitar solo.
I completely agreed with that statement sir.
I'll vote you as the fucking leader of United Nations
Becky A.
Please take your misandry and go elsewhere.
"Generational" problem, I would say. Fear, Prejudice, and Misogyny are powerful ideas, and Inherently wrong. What can you do?
Maybe they dislike it purely because they dislike some small part about it. Like, they can acknowledge she has talent, but believe she could improve in other ways. Maybe they prefer less wah or something.
eddy wasnt just an amazing finger technician, he was a masterful wizard of tone. very hard to replicate his sound
this is honestly the best eruption cover I've ever seen...... a lot of the others are just hacks
check out ybr band
Old comment I know but watch 5150 guitar lessons cover. Best eruption cover ever, sounds exactly like the original.
mikey Schilling are you kidding she sucks she’s just playing the solo with no heart or soul just a robot hitting notes you can feel nothing
mikey Schilling she is very good... and mad props to her.
But if you wanna see someone who really gets it, watch Dweezil Zappa play “”Eruption”.
You're an idiot.
i see dislikes out of jealousy
I knew kids that could play this in the 80's, dime a dozen. So the fact that this impresses you says a lot about you.
.
@Billy McCarthy "Hey, look at me! I'm a trophy kid and can attempt to play a cover that people were doing forty years ago! I still crave the attention my over protective parents endlessly gave me since I was born! Mommy, Daddy... I found it here on RUclips, people tell me I'm great.. Yaaaayyyy!!!" Ahahahaha!
No, in the original he turned is echo plex down, not the bar, that's why
@@damone70 toxic for what reason? jealousy?
I love how in the middle of that hammer tapping routine she scopes out what is going on in the other room.
Great cover , way to make it sound great and your own at the same time especially like what you did with the beginning it was cool and unique.
Have to admit this is the first time I’ve ever heard this guitarist.
Really impressed, keep up great playing
Goodbye Eddie.. We will miss you. Big love from New Zealand..
No, but seriously rn, I have never seen a guitarist that's that calm while playing Van Halen. Never.
Other guitarists: *I AM GROWING STRONGER!* *SCRÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉ etc.*
Tina: ~Fuck Giver© has stopped working. 0 fucks given while session. *looks like a badass*
But can she play seven nation army?
Rad Dude With A Good 'Tude my dude. Bruh anyone can play seven nation army
whoosh
Ramsses Ventura that was the joke dumbass
Its not if she can play SNA that is the question, but if she could write something as good as it. She can play the guitar, that’s for sure.
Rad Dude With A Good 'Tude my dude. lo ok
Tina, Thank You, A boomer from the 60s to the 70s !
You have a Gift !!!
You're really a genius... Playing so amazingly and perfectly in another style, the so complexed melodies of Beethoven, and then performing the greatest part of Van Halen by tapping... I can't tell any more but 👍👍👍👐👏👏👏👏
Magnificent! Supernatural! Beyond Gifted!
Oloko mano simplismente fantastico
Pretty much how it sounds when I play it... IN MY DREAMS!! She makes it look so easy. Like it's an afterthought.. Yeah,talent.. Joy to watch.. Thank you!!
Eddie, look what you have done. You have a child playing your music! YOU ARE AMAZING!!!! RIP my friend. Just rest.
Pure genius. Being this gifted is quite a blessing
She is a very Talented young Lady...
And on this day, van Halen passed away and this comes up on my reccomended, just heartwarming
RIP Van Halen, you will always be an inspiration to many and we will one day see you again in a better place
See, Eddie didn't die, he's just a 16 year old French girl!
@Alina Kotova shut up why the heck are you showing tose images?!
a cool reborn
Dumb ass. This girl’s tone sucks, she has no feeling-everything The Maestro wasn’t, other than fast.
@@The_Jasonian she has a more cruchy and dirty tone but it doesn't mean she's a bad player, there's no wrong way to caver a song
@@The_Jasonian Can you do better?
Some of the best guitarists in the world, who have been playing decades longer than she has, would readily admit that they cannot perform some of the same feats on the fretboard that she can. She is a once in a lifetime virtuoso on the guitar. The combination of her talent, feel, speed, accuracy, dexterity and complexity is truly a gift from God. I know we’re not supposed to say this, but she's performing these covers better than some of the guitar legends who wrote them.
Awesome!!!!! such a great talent!!!!
Next time somebody says "you play guitar like a girl" I'm going to say " I wish"
Quixotic Templar 😂😂😂
I´m a man and I agree with you. Listen to this 1984 guitar solo of 1984: ruclips.net/video/KfDUxlg8Iro/видео.html
I know what she is thinking... "And this is the so famous eruption solo? Wonder what's so famous about it... Hmm I think Im hungry" her face is telling me that to say the least, wonderful playing as usual tina.
Bellissimo sentir suonare cosi bene il più bel assolo per chitarra elettrica della storia! Bravissima, da brividi!
If Eddie gets sick during a concert, run up to the stage and tell him you got this
+Wolf Dawg is this a reference to the Panama accident be if it is that rods up to u
knowing so many people pull this song off nowadays, there would be 30 people running up yelling I GOT THIS
Wolf Dawg LOL
🤣🤣She would shred the strings like an absolute boss!
Reaaaaly irritates me how easy that looked for her lmao. Quite the prodigy
RIP Eddie. I hope you are still enjoying playing and learning from his work Tina. Stay safe.
that was actually the best cover i've herad of this piece, you LITERALLY got the tone down to a T it is fantastic to say the least
