True, but he wrote it 42 years ago, and there was no one to imitate from back then. Musician have had 42 years to copy it. This girl is 100% amazing, but you can't compare them head to head like that. If she goes on to write world famous melodies and change the face of rock music and influence thousands of guitarists, THEN she will be in the same league as EVH.
@@jallan1407 Actually, Eruption was simply his pre-play exercise, as was the guitar intro to Hot For A Teacher, interestingly enough. Those jam sessions between him and his brother truly paid off.

Why all the comments about no crazy faces? It is what it is and it's a great rendition. Watch her closely. There is a lot of concentration going on. It's also a very physical piece and there are moments when you can see how firm she is in her playing. I think there is a lot of emotion going on inside, but she has to concentrate on the technical, too. As far as making faces, I can think of some great emotional players that don't emote that way. Like Jeff Beck. Tina, for me, this was really something to watch.
They're being facetious. They're just expressing how easy she makes it look, which is a great compliment. Being so good at something very difficult that you make it look easy.
Very nice! I was just a few years younger than Eddie when this came out in Vancouver, Canada (always at least 1/2 to 1 year behind releases in the States) and obviously was just amazed. Everybody and his dog were trying to get it down and of course there were some good attempts, very close... but not even. This young lady has the same attitude and dedication as I did way back then; Tina is hands down one of the closest and exact tribute players I have heard. Her technique is flawless and the reproduction of the sound is beautiful! With all the passable and not bad covers on social media nowadays, along with step by step videos and tablature note for note lessons it seems anyone and everyone has had a video uploaded here. But I think this girl actually listened to the cd over and over again to actually get the feel and atmosphere of the tune along with the acoustics and dynamics of Eruption. Man I had to lift that needle and repeat a couple of seconds over and over again wearing out two Lp records in a couple of weeks driving my parents, neighbour and the RCMP nuts but I wasn't happy with my rendition of it umtil it was almost 100%. Tina's vid here is nearly flawless and what I really dig about it is I can see that in a couple of places she seems as though she wasn't the happiest with a couple of the 64th hammers or the natural and pinched harmonics. (no one sees this but you toung lady) That is what a true guitar player and musician strives for as EVH did here and performs homages for; not to brag or showoff of showcase to other aspiring players that they are superior guitarists but to really show respect to virtuosos by getting it right. I realize I am a day late and a doolar short with my humble opionated comment but I just came across this vid and It moved me that much that I had too give Tina S a standing ovation and a couple of watches. Hope you are still playing and improving your knowledge and also helping others to enjoy the greatest instrument ever!! Peace and love ... always

I always ask myself that same question. I am so curious why they give a thumbs down. Maybe jealousy or they feel offended or discriminated, I really want to know. why wHY WHYYYY !!
You're really a genius... Playing so amazingly and perfectly in another style, the so complexed melodies of Beethoven, and then performing the greatest part of Van Halen by tapping... I can't tell any more but 👍👍👍👐👏👏👏👏
Some of the best guitarists in the world, who have been playing decades longer than she has, would readily admit that they cannot perform some of the same feats on the fretboard that she can. She is a once in a lifetime virtuoso on the guitar. The combination of her talent, feel, speed, accuracy, dexterity and complexity is truly a gift from God. I can't believe that she practiced all those zillions of hours just to get views and subscriptions. (I'm in one of my rare noncynical moods.) No, she did it to spread peace, love, and beautiful music. (Maybe I need to back off on my meds a little.)
It’s really awesome to see the young lady paying tribute to one of the all time greats!!!! She is flawless as well!!
My favorite part is how she looks so utterly bored!
She's amazing...I've seen a few others, and she always looks bored.
Also, if her songwriting and creativity ever catch up to her technique and knowledge, the world is in for a huge treat.
She is awesome.and it kills me how easy she makes it look.it takes me to play and breath at the same time lol.😃
Michael A. Phillips Right, focused but like she is just walking and chewing gum at the same time, lol.
Michael A. Phillips isn´t she french? if so there is your answer sir!
there sure are a lot of jealous clowns out there. this girl is the real deal.with a display of talent beyond her years...and most of us are not...get over it and enjoy what your ears are hearing!
Exactly.
Yeah.. sad to think some of those dislikes could be musician jealousy... but I think ISIS must have got a hold of this video and hated it on a number of fronts, one being she's older than 9 :D
Beyond her years? Beyond any years!!!!
PreserveBigCats only infidels can play like that lol
Well said.
best eruption cover ive ever seen, very quick and on point.
Magnificent! Supernatural! Beyond Gifted!
See, Eddie didn't die, he's just a 16 year old French girl!
@Alina Kotova shut up why the heck are you showing tose images?!
a cool reborn
Dumb ass. This girl’s tone sucks, she has no feeling-everything The Maestro wasn’t, other than fast.
@@The_Jasonian she has a more cruchy and dirty tone but it doesn't mean she's a bad player, there's no wrong way to caver a song
@@The_Jasonian Can you do better?
this is honestly the best eruption cover I've ever seen...... a lot of the others are just hacks
check out ybr band
Old comment I know but watch 5150 guitar lessons cover. Best eruption cover ever, sounds exactly like the original.
mikey Schilling are you kidding she sucks she’s just playing the solo with no heart or soul just a robot hitting notes you can feel nothing
mikey Schilling she is very good... and mad props to her.
But if you wanna see someone who really gets it, watch Dweezil Zappa play “”Eruption”.
You're an idiot.
those 1,000 peeople that disliked this have no sense in music
yah and they dont have that talent bro.. shes amizing guitar player..
she has speed and technic but 0% FEELING.
she is still amazing definetly a path or carrer for her
Davi Nickenig There's plenty of feeling if you close your eyes. Physical movements =/= music. Musicians nowadays move way too much.
they're most likely jealous...
Only thing missing is a cigarette between the nut and headstock
People don't smoke that much in eastern Europe.
@@blakfloyd are you joking? aren't french people like known for smoking cigs? lol
@@chazbono5991 France isn't in eastern Europe bro
except its what killed him today 😟
The guitar needs a cigarette after that.
Girl....You really got me now.
I know that both this comment and this video are old but that is amazing.
Tina, Thank You, A boomer from the 60s to the 70s !
You have a Gift !!!
No, but seriously rn, I have never seen a guitarist that's that calm while playing Van Halen. Never.
Other guitarists: *I AM GROWING STRONGER!* *SCRÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉ etc.*
Tina: ~Fuck Giver© has stopped working. 0 fucks given while session. *looks like a badass*
And on this day, van Halen passed away and this comes up on my reccomended, just heartwarming
RIP Van Halen, you will always be an inspiration to many and we will one day see you again in a better place
My girlfriend broke up with me. She thinks that I am childish. So, I calmed down, took a deep breath, went to her house, rang the doorbell and ran away.
Savage 😂
SAVAGE!! 😂
SAVAGE!!!
hmmm...
My girlfriend dumped me because I was a bad boy. Then she went and found herself a nice guy. Yet some time later she knocked on my door. Apparently nice boy couldn't take her there.
Next time somebody says "you play guitar like a girl" I'm going to say " I wish"
Quixotic Templar 😂😂😂
I´m a man and I agree with you. Listen to this 1984 guitar solo of 1984: ruclips.net/video/KfDUxlg8Iro/видео.html
Goodbye Eddie.. We will miss you. Big love from New Zealand..
I love how in the middle of that hammer tapping routine she scopes out what is going on in the other room.
That tremolo picking sequence, my favorite part, Damn, you KILLED it, so swift!
Wow-hope you never stop!
Music shop assistant" Little girl, can I help you with anything, oh please don't touch that guitar...little girl, it's not for children...[.RREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE }Holy crap!!!!"
now vs my air guitar, i will reck you.
If you can play air guitar that fast its very impressive
I will WRECK you in a spelling competition
I learned to play this solo when I was about 16, but damn, she plays it with so much ease, makes it look simple compared to what I remember....and much smoother than I was ever able to accomplish. BRAVO!
Não tenho palavras para essa moça. Só elogios.
Nothing but respect ! I love this riff ! Always have and you nailed it !
Awesome!!!!! such a great talent!!!!
OMFG! I am speechless. The original Eruption was so beautiful, energetic, complex and gave me auditory orgasms, I didnt expect it could be covered so perfectly ... EVER! I think my mouth was wide open in amazement after 0:21 or so. This girl has some amazing talents, I hope to follow her in the music industry some day.
Tina, like Oliver," Please may we have some more...?"
Beautifull mate, bloody beautifull. Thank You.
Extraordinary rendition of a master work. Very well done. And thank you - I needed this today. Please play more.
1000 people disliked then you realize 96000 liked and all is right in the world
1,000 did because 1,000 people can play it
COUGH ME
+Nathan Perisin Lmaoo

+Nathan Perisin I liked it because I can play it
Amazing! Shocked! Superb! Tina is a real Artist and don't know her talent!!! Long live Tina! Hugs from Brazil fans!!!
I just looked at my guitar and thought. Dont even try it.
Seriously, this is fucking amazing.
Dude! I'm the biggest VH fan & that was amazing. Nice post BigRed12315 Holly Shit!! Stay Hott. ~Scotty
You nailed it perfectly! I hope you are doing well Little Lady; I just purchased my first 6 string. Ode to Tina's. Thank you!
As someone who has seen Edddie play live at least a dozen times since 78, this is such an incredible tribute to one of the all-time greats. Tina is an amazing talent and I hope we get to experience her greatness, like we did with the late Eddie Van Halen. Rest in sweet peace, brother.
Why would someone give this a thumbs down?
definitely idiots
They're probabaly jealous that they can't get to her level
@@rockfan9023 not many can
I always ask myself that same question.
I am so curious why they give a thumbs down.
Maybe jealousy or they feel offended or discriminated, I really want to know.
why wHY WHYYYY !!
Probaly bots tbh
RIP Eddie. I hope you are still enjoying playing and learning from his work Tina. Stay safe.
I know we’re not supposed to say this, but she's performing these covers better than some of the guitar legends who wrote them.
Looks like someone got the Pick of Destiny :)
I have NEVER seen a better cover of my favrit Riff of all time.......TINA......You need to comeback and show your guitar skills........PLEASE?...............Its been long enuff!!..... where are you?......The whole RUclips world misses you......
No words...
Just to great!
isso não é talento. isso é dedicação, esforço, muito treinamento árduo a partir do momento em que ele tocou em uma guitarra pela primeira vez. talento não existe, o que existe é a força de vontade de aprender o que você quer e se dedicar 100% .
Pretty much how it sounds when I play it... IN MY DREAMS!! She makes it look so easy. Like it's an afterthought.. Yeah,talent.. Joy to watch.. Thank you!!
