Emergency Room Nurse here. All veins are connected to the heart.
I wonder where you got the inspiration for this video 🤭 congratulations on your recent engagement William. All the best to you and Mikey x
Really, Is William engaged?
The ring also represents the Crown of Thorns, so it also symbolizes sacrifice for one’s beloved.
I learned a few things, thank you! The Egyptians may referring to a subtle, spiritual vein, similar to a chakra.
All veins are connected to the heart

So nicer as always to see a new etiquette video from you. I find them quite interesting. Thank you!

All blood passes through the heart, so YES, there is a vein in your ring finger that leads all the way to your heart.
Thank you Mr. Hansen.
An excellent (and elegant) guide to wedding rings.
The ring finger (the one between the pinky and the middle finger) is considered the *fourth* finger in the UK, and not the third? Color me surprised!
Smart, witty, handsome. This man is a catch.
Luxury does not have to cost the planet I like that so romantic
Hi William. Thanks for the information. I’m getting married next year. Will you do create a video with some guidance for the day and for the speech
Thanks
Darren
You're back, finally.
Not entirely correct. On which hand the wedding band is worn depends on the religion. Orthodox Christians wear their wedding bands on their right hand, regardless if the person is left or right handed. Engagement rings are to be worn on the left hand.
I learned that it was a Roman believe, although that doesn't mean it isn't a Egyptian believe (aswell.) And ofcourse, all fingers have a line to the heart, as that is where the blood comes from.
Egypt is much, much older than Rome, so I’d say it was probably originally from Egypt, and anyway, most of what the Romans believed in was just Greek mythology slightly altered.
Just FYI, in Germany the wedding ring is worn on the right hand.
**I** wanted to say that! 😃
In the Netherlands traditionally catholic people wear their ring on the left ring finger. Therefore the protestants wore their ring on the right ring finger.
Exactly which is why I am unsure where I'd wear my own if my Irish boyfriend proposed to me. They wear it left, we wear it right.
@@kmissoni6451Then just go with whatever feels right for you 🤷♂️
I am a catholic and most wedding band are worn in the left, but i don't have a church wedding, I opt for a civil wedding and we were instructed to put it in the right hand.. I am not a fond of wearing any rings so i never wear mine but my husband has not taken his wedding ring since the marriage.
What is the proper way to wear your wedding ring if you are a widow who is not planning to remarry?
I missed you!
Dear William, thank you so much for the very useful information you shared! May I ask if there are any recommendations about wearin both engagement ring and wedding ring after the wedding. Both on the left hand but which one needs to be on the top? Greetings from Austria 🌷
I was wondering this as well! What do you do with the engagement ring after you have the wedding band? Is it classy to wear both? Thank you for another great, informative video! I would actually love to know your thoughts on elegant styles of engagement rings.
Whats the etiquette of rubbing one out under the table
An engagment ring is according to tradition and proper etiquette the ring should be a plain goldring .The left hand is the correct one . And both the man and the woman get a ring. At the wedding the woman get a new ring .
Can one ring be both the engagement and wedding ring for us ladies?
Go Your Own Way
😍🥰
As a Doctor of Emergency Medicine, I can confirm that there is absolutely no such 'veins from the ring finger to the heart. Nice thought, though....😊
💍💎
👍🏻
What is the order to wear the rings after the weddings?
A jeweler once told me that the wedding band goes on first since it is closest to your heart. The engagement ring is next.
Where could one go to learn about british etiquette? Are there classes?
Why learn this? Each culture differs. We have to be ourselves and just keep our manners. I'm thinking that it really is that simple. For example in the western world we tip people but don't ever tip in Japan because the Japanese will become insulted very easily. The Japanese have a job to do and they don't need any rewards. I also read that in Japan it's polite to belch at the table to show that they enjoyed their meals. Oh well...
This doesn’t sound entirely William. Too many options, too many variations of the rules. And saving the planet at the expense of ones social status, I don’t think so. Bring up that welsh gold! And if there’s a 12 year old to do it, all the better!

Who needs rings? 🤺 Anyway, you get them at Woollies for 2/6! 🤺
Diamond? Thank you, no. Emeralds and emeralds only.

Why don't we discuss the open invasion and ethnic replacement of us britts. Seems to me no one wants to discuss such timid and rocky subjects. Seems to me it's being pushed to the side intentionally.
Yes I'd like tontslk about that. As a Pict, we've been pushed aside in our own country by the Gaelics for centuries, but no one's talking about it. We need to speak out more for Pict justice!
