Andrew Doak Cooks - Dirty Rice

We don’t often prepare dinner from a box, but sometimes we do. We like Zatarain’s a lot, especially since they have been doing away with MSG. Talk about easy. I wasn’t going to do a video for this, but it occurred to me, there are a lot of people that don’t know about boxed dinners. Also, I know of a few people that find a boxed dinner intimidating to prepare. I’m here to show how easy they are. I hope you enjoy.
Also, that front-loaded content from Costco, yeah, that was just me doing “cooking” stuff :)
TIME TO PREPARE
10+ minutes to brown meat and drain fat
5 minutes to add extra ingredients
5 minutes to boil
25 minutes to cook
5 minutes to cool
INGREDIENTS FOR DIRTY RICE
1 1/2 - lbs of ground beef
3 3/4 - cold water
2 - tbsp of vegetable oil
1 - box of Zatarain’s Dirty Rice
HOW TO
1. Brown ground beef. Drain fat
2. Add water, oil and contents of box
3. Stir
4. Bring to a boil over high heat
5. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 25 minutes
6. Let cool for 5
7. Enjoy
8. I like to add parmesan cheese & tabasco sauce to my Dirty Rice
