There were 20 degrees (Celsius) here and I am missing the snow already :( But will return to Dun Morogh Classic very soon. I am remaking this video because I made a lot of mistakes with cutting the music. I was a beginner in Premiere Pro & RUclips back then :)
Oh man, this is so nostalgic. My very first character was a dwarf hunter. I wanted to be like the character in the trailer, lol. The ambience of the early zone is one of mu favorites in the whole game and it's special because it was my first. The undead starting zone is a close second.
Thank you so much for uploading the Vanilla OST. It's great for relaxing and studying. Dun Morogh is where my adventure in Azeroth all began. My very first character was a dwarf hunter. I had never played an online game of this scale before and was truly amazed by just how massive Azeroth was. I loved the snowy mountains of Khaz Modan. Coldridge Valley and Anvilmar felt nice and safe. In order to get to Kharanos you had to run all the way through this long mountain pass filled with troggs. This has always been my favorite zone in all of Azeroth and beyond. I remember farming the Grizzled Den a lot for leather from the yetis. I also tamed my very first pet, an Ice Claw Bear that I kept for I think almost 30 levels before I retired him. Before Cataclysm, hunters did not start with a pet and couldn't get one for 10 levels, unlike Warlocks who I believe could get an Imp before level 10, but I never played a Warlock very often so I don't remember. I remember wandering into the nice, cozy little town of Kharanos and spending a few weeks there. I also remember it took me quite a few tries to kill that elite yeti Vagash, because he hit pretty hard. I hated going anywhere near Gnomeregan or its outskirts because I hated fighting those leper gnomes. I also hated those ugly troggs that were everywhere too. When I first started playing, I liked just exploring the wilderness and farming enemies. I didn't rush through everything to level up as fast as possible like I did much, much later in newer expansions. Whenever the classic server comes out again I will be happy to recreate my original character and take another journey through the old Azeroth and the undisturbed Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor.
On my second hunter I kept my first pet which I tamed until max level (60, 70 etc.). It was one of those owls from Teldrassil (Named it _Shadowglen,_ to remember home). Was hard to level up with only one pet (especially in Vanilla), but I did it and I am still proud of the achievement :) Seeing that you did something similar, it made me smile :) Yes, old WoW needs to be consumed like an old drink, slowly and undisturbed. :) But I am a bit concerned about the new WoW community. I hope they will not be attracted so much of Vanilla, I don't want the _new_ ways of playing (without patience or respect for the other players) to get into this game. Thank you for coming back, P.S.: I will remake this video soon. For reasons which I have mentioned on other comments :) Meisio
I totally agree! I want Blizzard to make the Vanilla server just like it was before. and I think that, WoW being their game and property, they will do their best. The community was great because most people were willing to do just about anything. I remember one time this other player wanted my help killing some elite ogres in I think Loch Modan. It was fun just helping and playing with random people. Part of the reason I permanently quit the modern era of WoW is because the community wasn't the same. This was especially apparent when Dungeon/Raid Finder came out. Nobody talked to each other, everyone wants to run through the dungeon as quickly as possible and leave without a word. I liked having to ask or join people's dungeon groups in general chat. It forced you to be social and more friendly if you wanted to get that one quest done you could only do in a dungeon or wanted that one piece of gear.
Jake Hill Dwarf hunter every time too, I remember meeting friends and one was a dwarf hunter and me and him played together for years, some of my most fond memories growing up were spent here, I can’t wait for vanilla WoW vanilla and BC and even WOTLK are so amazing.
Haven't played WoW since Cata, pretty much stopped when Blizzard started destroying everything that was left of classic WoW. But damn, this video brings back so many fond memories. My first ever character in classic WoW was a dwarf warrior. I remember running around Dun Morogh doing quests, opening a map and thinking hey that's a pretty big world. Then I zoomed out, and realized Dun Morogh is just one area and there's a whole freakin continent full of them. Then I zoomed out even more... OMG TWO CONTINENTS???? 🤯🤯🤯
@BL00DYME55 Blizzard didn't do that. Blizzard never put out a bad game until Activision bought them. Yes, I started on launch day in 2004 and dun moroh was my first starting zone. I remember the first time I saw ironforge. I was In awe
No other place in WoW feels like home as much as Dun Morogh. After making a long break from playing wow i legit cried a bit while listening to this music. It's so ... cozy.
I was more of a Horde player, but my first serious Alliance toon was a gnome, so yeah, Dun Morogh feels like home to me as well. Nothing like hearing that music and seeing Ironforge way off in the distance.
Gosh darn I remember back in vanilla WoW being a level 12 Horde Hunter class and running aaaaaaaaaaalllllll the from Silverpine Forrest, through Hillsbrad Foothills -> Arathi Highlands -> Wetlands -> Loch Modan and finally reaching Dun Morogh just so I could try taming the rare level 12 white polar bear mob Bjarn. This would take me hours (I would do it for every hunter character I made), running past mobs that were 30 levels higher than me and that would aggro and attack from miles away, not to mention dying constantly from Alliance npc guards, running back to corpse , revive, run 10 feet and die again and again untill I finally cleared their aggro range. All so I could one of the few Horde players with a white polar bear pet at level 12, the only other white bears were normal mobs in Winterspring that were like level 50+ and no way I was gonna wait that long. In the end all that hard work and frustration was worth it tho. Good times, I miss those days being addicted to this game.
2:43:20 When I am in Dun Morogh and this little piano section plays it always stops me in my tracks. Its so small and subtle but somehow perfectly sells an entire mood.
That's how I describe all this classic music. Subtle. Ambient. Relaxing. Not like the booming themes we have now. The music was a mood, a vibe. Now it's a blockbuster production trying to win awards like a Hans Zimmer score or something.
@@Malumbrus I couldn't agree more. I worked on the WoW as an artist during Classic times (2001-2005). Jason Hayes was the composer for the music. I have such fond memories playing WoW even before early alpha days, and his music inviting into the world. His music was just as magical then as it is now.

Then the Gnomeregan music started playing while I was reading about linear recursive processes and my brain started expanding exponentially and overflowing out of my ears.
I remember going to the game store right when it opened on launch day and hiding 2 boxes of wow behind a bunch of old games and coming back with my buddy to buy them per his request. Had no idea what I was getting into lol
This song reminds me of a good time in my life well it was weird I recently got separated from my wife but I got plenty of time to play this game and it was fucking awesome
All the classic music is so ambient and relaxing, and most of all memorable. I can't remember a single tune from any of the expansions except Frostfire Ridge and Gorgron from WoD, and Suramar from Legion (and that's because it's so close to the old Nightelf zones). Every classic tune was suited for its environment, yet had a similar feel to each other while remaining distinct. They've rarely captured the same vibe as they created in Vanilla.
Every zone has such a distinct feel to it. I already know I won’t be able to help myself and I will make at least one character of every race just to run through the zones again once Classic comes out. My life is too busy now to play any particular game on a hardcore level, but that was truly the beauty of vanilla wow: you could play hardcore on one character and get a ton of enjoyment out of the game, or you could play multiple characters and never hit level cap and still have a ton of fun
I thought of doing something like this myself, but figured it might have been done before. You've executed it even better than I envisioned... this is excellent material. Your channel deserves far more views!

Hey Meisio, Just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Perhaps even more so than the game itself right now. Me and my mom who plays WoW too always put your videos on just as an ambient music in the background through the house and I personally love the visuals as well! You portray the zones so well, it gives me goosebumps and huge nostalgia. Thank you so much for your effort!

1:45:15 It just doesn't snow like that anymore in the game. Was basically removed many years ago and, it sounds lame, but was one of the things I was looking forward to most in classic. After repeatedly checking the zone and asking around it's apparently non-existent in classic as well. All the other weather effects are there except for the snowstorms. If you're lucky, you might catch a very light flurry that you can hardly see or tell is happening at all. That's it and as good as it gets. I wish I knew why snowstorms were removed from the game and why it seems like I'm the only one who noticed or cared. Sad. If you want that weather, the only place you can find it is on private servers.
I actually was a huge fan of the Vanilla weather. It's one of the things which I enjoyed a lot about Vanilla. Indeed they are not the same anymore, because they rebuild (badly) on Classic. You are not the only one 👍
@@MichZilla90 If you go back far enough I'm pretty sure Vanilla had no weather. Not sure about the snow but I definitely recall that there was no rain prior to a certain patch that added it in. I wonder if the presence of snow/rain in Classic has to do with which patch they're on, or whether it's just an oversight.
You can control the quality of all RUclips videos, lower it even it is 4K like all of my recent movies ;) Thank you for coming back and Happy 4st of July (I am not an US citizen though :) )
Hey! I've declared I'll disclose more about me after I reach 10K subscribers :) I don't want to spoil the _surprise_ :) I live in Barcelona (Spain) currently, but I am traveling much lately, changing countries (in Europe for now). Kind regards, Meisio
This is where it all started for me. A Gnome mage, before T2 was a thing I believe. I remember that first elite mob near the starting area just utterly destroying me. I forget what it was species wise but man. Good times either way.
Definetly my new background music for studying ! Brings me back so good feelings. Probably also best background music to chill to... and eat... and shower, and cook, and have sex, and meditate, and for sport, and drive, and... definetely best bakcground music around.
Meisio please tell me how you got it to actually snow, that is one of the coolest things I have seen in wow even though it’s just snow because I love immersion and weather lol. Is it a private server?? Love your vids btw
now, i never grew up with classic. as a matter of fact, my first impression playing was from BFA started a dwarf hunter yesterday, and i'm happy to say i didn't start with a pet AND i had to tame one myself! is blizzard finally learning? will they bring back pet feeding/training?
The Gnomeregon music must be extracted into its own file. I had to stop, because it's not real conducive for studying, but I did, nonetheless, move on to another one of your videos.
Stormwind here: ruclips.net/video/KCWBNeHlmhQ/видео.html (it is a different style of movie, which didn't quite had an impact on visitors) Ironforge here: ruclips.net/video/QHV_FTIm6zY/видео.html I am going to remake both of them, based on the feedback received, the capitals should be filmed with people playing. So they won't look deserted.
I like it sometimes... *Kenopsia* _n. The eerie, forlorn atmosphere of a place that’s usually bustling with people but is now abandoned and quiet-a school hallway in the evening, an unlit office on a weekend, vacant fairgrounds-an emotional afterimage that makes it seem not just empty but hyper-empty, with a total population in the negative, who are so conspicuously absent they glow like neon signs._
I have a theory why some players don't like Gnomeregan. Healer: doesn't care, they heal everybody. DD: doesn't care, they do damage. Tank: has to tank those annoying slime creatures. they probably are radioactive too.
53:30 I hate such skips. Making such mix is not hard, but you obviously copy pasted the music and didn't care for the overall feel of the mix. That's a nono.
You are right. The explanation is pretty simple: I had very limited knowledge about Premiere Pro and I did 1000 mistakes. That's why, later, I came back and made this version of the video: I hope you like this one more: ruclips.net/video/7ll_i-QKM2E/видео.html
Oh noes, I am all about the harsh criticism. That's how I improve. Yes, I don't necessarily like it, but it's a necessary evil :) The same theme, but with more sound effects here: Winterspring + snow ambience: ruclips.net/video/1jUYcMlVqBU/видео.html
The remade video here: ruclips.net/video/7ll_i-QKM2E/видео.html (1 hour, 4K, exploration mode)

Your not the only one, I think this snow is one of the best things in classic. So mad they removed it
@@MichZilla90 If you go back far enough I'm pretty sure Vanilla had no weather. Not sure about the snow but I definitely recall that there was no rain prior to a certain patch that added it in. I wonder if the presence of snow/rain in Classic has to do with which patch they're on, or whether it's just an oversight.
I start crying at 0:01... Thx for my emotions matrix.. god.. universe.. i live. its incredible.
meslio, thank you for your hard work.
10:15 takes me back to that initial Wow cover that captured the imagination of millions :)
This reminds me of creating endless Dwarf characters and only leveling them up to level 6
I felt nostalgic seeing the homeland of the gnomes
53:00 -53:20 brings me back, makes me want to cry but I can't cry :/ Ping Ding Ting Ping ting....
I think a lot of people would like to live in this fairytale world !
ahh, the days when the game was about to go on adventure and not main hero stuff.
Thank your for this, it is really relaxing.✝️
I came back for more, hahaha. Slow internet makes this the perfect outlet. Happy July 4th!
You can control the quality of all RUclips videos, lower it even it is 4K like all of my recent movies ;)
Thank you for coming back and Happy 4st of July (I am not an US citizen though :) )
Where are you from?
Hey!
I've declared I'll disclose more about me after I reach 10K subscribers :) I don't want to spoil the _surprise_ :)
I live in Barcelona (Spain) currently, but I am traveling much lately, changing countries (in Europe for now).
Kind regards,
Meisio
Sure, good luck on the subscribers!
Thank you! Soon (tm) :)
I miss the hype around Classic release 😢
classic was crap , you can never relive the glory days of the original game.
@@gixxie117 You're welcome to your opinon, you're wrong, but you are welcome to it.
This is where it all started for me. A Gnome mage, before T2 was a thing I believe. I remember that first elite mob near the starting area just utterly destroying me. I forget what it was species wise but man. Good times either way.
Good morning Azeroth.
_How are ya?_
beautiful
night mountain 1 is an absolute banger
"How are ya?"
굿이네요 완전히 맨날듣습니다
now, i never grew up with classic. as a matter of fact, my first impression playing was from BFA
started a dwarf hunter yesterday, and i'm happy to say i didn't start with a pet AND i had to tame one myself!
is blizzard finally learning? will they bring back pet feeding/training?
I am not super fond of dwarfs or gnomes. But I do LOVE this soundtrack.
Woooo gotta love vanilla thanks for this
It's the same music over and over again for 3 hours. I hope you enjoy "Montain" track :)

❤️❤️❤️
The Gnomeregon music must be extracted into its own file. I had to stop, because it's not real conducive for studying, but I did, nonetheless, move on to another one of your videos.
Yooooooo where my dwarves at :D
:D
Is it just me or is the sound concentrated in the left side?
4:53 Stargate theme
3 hour azuremyst isle if possible
Thank you for the suggestion. The long videos will come back. I am thinking of a format that can work.
Meisio I looked through you channel for Stormwind and Ironforge themes but still can't find em, if they are there please give me a link
Stormwind here: ruclips.net/video/KCWBNeHlmhQ/видео.html (it is a different style of movie, which didn't quite had an impact on visitors)
Ironforge here: ruclips.net/video/QHV_FTIm6zY/видео.html
I am going to remake both of them, based on the feedback received, the capitals should be filmed with people playing. So they won't look deserted.
yup it looks weird without people, though i only listen to soundtrack) thank you for links
I like it sometimes...
*Kenopsia*
_n. The eerie, forlorn atmosphere of a place that’s usually bustling with people but is now abandoned and quiet-a school hallway in the evening, an unlit office on a weekend, vacant fairgrounds-an emotional afterimage that makes it seem not just empty but hyper-empty, with a total population in the negative, who are so conspicuously absent they glow like neon signs._

prepare your axe ! just 2 month left !!
BROTHER! Today is the day!!
33 hours when
I have a theory why some players don't like Gnomeregan. Healer: doesn't care, they heal everybody. DD: doesn't care, they do damage. Tank: has to tank those annoying slime creatures. they probably are radioactive too.
Дун творог
Love the ambient Dun Morogh music. Hate the fucking gnomregan crap!
Not long now...
@@Meisio Oh thanks! I'll make sure to like the new one too then :) Sorry for harsh criticism. Have a nice day!
Oh noes, I am all about the harsh criticism. That's how I improve. Yes, I don't necessarily like it, but it's a necessary evil :)
The same theme, but with more sound effects here: Winterspring + snow ambience: ruclips.net/video/1jUYcMlVqBU/видео.html
Almost perfect, but there are no stallion kissing buck, so not as deep, meaningful, and discreet as Shadowland storytelling.
It's so sad that Blizzard ruined it all... twice
1:22:40 lol
Yep, one of the reasons I remade the video :-)
See the pinned message :-)
not in fucking classic. Damn you Blizzard
How are ya? What can I get for ye today?
