- Welcome, dear traveler, to the frozen lands of Dun Morogh, a realm of untamed wilderness and rugged landscapes. Undertake this inspiring journey alongside me as we delve into the heart of this majestic region, where the crisp mountain air fills your lungs and the echoes of mining pickaxes resound through the valleys. As the Lorekeeper of Dun Morogh, I extend my hand to you, ready to unveil the tales crystalized into the very ice of these snow-capped peaks and ancient dwarven halls.
This snow-swept and rugged land is situated amidst craggy mountains and dense forests in the northern reaches of the Eastern Kingdoms. The high-altitude region is characterized by its cold, windy, and wet climate, where snowfall is a common occurrence, leaving a pristine white blanket that perpetually covers the ground. The land's beauty lies in its untouched wilderness, with towering pines and ancient oaks standing tall among the rocky terrain.
Today, surrounded by the snow-capped peaks of Dun Morogh, the dwarves and gnomes have created a home of strength, unity, and innovation. The characteristics of their culture is woven into every aspect of this resilient realm, from their affinity with the cold environment to the sturdy architecture of the soaring heights of Ironforge itself. So come… together, we shall uncover the secrets hidden within its frozen valleys and take a glance at the unique landscape of this timeless Dwarven homeland.

It is
Like the style of RP/Narrator rather than a guy talking at me about the lore. Well done.
This is seriously the most exceptional lore type of videos that the entire wow community needed!
I feel like going on a nice trip whenever i start these videos
Let the Loremaster take you to a different time and place in the world of Azeroth!
So soothing to listen to. I fell asleep just as it finished.
I'm glad to hear you find it so calming!
These videos really make me want to play HC with full immersion
this is my new favorite channel
And here we are again, to listen to the tales of our magnificent lore master. Keep it up, great work as always. 🙏
Thank you kindly, fellow wanderer!
I really really appreciate the work your putting into your script. It reads/listens like butter. Thank you! ❤
Happy to hear that! You're most welcome!
He is so bloody good!!!!!!!!!!
Out of all the vanilla alliance starting zones, Dun Morough's inns always had that "Warm and Cozy" feel. Hanging out in Kharanos and always leveling cooking so I could make the Beer-Basted Boar ribs was a core part of any new character I rolled back in the day. Awesome video as always!
Thanks for sharing your adventures!
oh my gosh! same! was my favorite place at the beginning of my wow time.
I love these, cant wait for winter to sip a warm hot cocoa and listen to the soothing voice
This setting warms my heart, already :)
Amazing content! Hail to you, lore-master!
A phenomenal video again! Can't begin to tell you how great the storytelling is in this. Brilliant job mate
Thanks a ton! It really makes my day to read all these comments packed with positively!
Great now I need to go level a dwarf 😂
8:15 "With a Chuckle..." xD
Yessss been waiting for the dwarves since this started!
Glad to have had the honor to cover them!
Thank You for upload, dear Loremaster!
Thank you for accompanying me!
Some of the best content, look forward to seeing your videos pop up on my feed
I appreciate that! Another adventure next week!
Best videos to go sleep, really love it
Happy to hear that! Sleep well :)
Nothing will beat that feeling of being 12 again on a cold Saturday morning and deciding to roll a gnome or dwarf. I never fully completed the zone, but I remember trying out the races and exploring for a while.
Thanks for reminiscing with us!
Perfection. Nothing less than perfection. ❤
Very kind of you! I'm ever so happy to read this!
Nice, ultrawide too
For that extra immersion!
Said it before, will say it again. Fantastic content!
Thanks again!
This channel is just awesome. By the far the best thing for my commutes to and from work. Keep up the great work and you will grow, without a doubt.
Thank you very much!
Beautifully done, the nostalgia of my WOW days is strong with these videos. Dun Morogh was my favorite region to I called homebase
Dude you make captivating videos. Hell yea!
Glad you like them! More to come!
Yes!! Dwarves are my favorite race so I’m absolutely beaming seeing them get their turn in the spotlight. Keep it up!
Well met, traveler! Great to meet ya! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy!
This is amazing thank you
The pleasure is all mine! Thank YOU for watching!
When I have these videos in the back round I am often asked what kind of documentary I am watching cause you're voice is soothing and it's like something from Discovery Channel haha.
It's very nice to hear that! Thank you for your comment and enjoy the documentaries!
These are amazing! Keep up the good work!
Thanks! Will do!
Nice
I love this channel. I recommended it to all my fellow guild mates.👍
Im looking forward to the Lore of Azuremyst Isle.
So glad you enjoy it! The Azuremyst Isles are on my list, as soon as we have journeyed through the classic starting areas!
Really looking forward to when you get to Drustvar. That was one of my favorite lore/story driven zones!
Can't wait to dive into Drustvar! All things in due time!
Great video. As a Dwarf myself, I approve.
Excellent!
I’m amazed how long it took for us to get our very own Lore-master. I can happily say it was worth the wait. The story telling is so good for the setting.
Well, Nobbel has been around for over a decade doing lore videos, check out his channel too for even more.
I'm a fan of Nobbel, this format is entirely different to Nobbel and I very much enjoy it.@@CrazyShepard
Great work man. Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
A fantastic balance of old and more recent lore, geography, flora and fauna, and questing. Another wonderful addition to this series.
Side note - am I the only one who prouncounces the zone like "Dunn Mohr-OH"???
Thank you so much for the kind words, and don't worry, pronunciations vary from country to country and dialect to dialect! This is the way I would pronounce it in Brittain :D
yes I do the same and everyone I every played it in voice, pronounced it the same as you are.
little we know.... this is a blizzard gm just flying around with the great scenery shots :)
I can neither deny nor confirm that notion :)
Awesome story telling
Thanks for listening!
Awsome happy "my" Pick made it as thumbnail pic and great work as ever
Thanks again!
There might already be a lot of praising comments but I don’t care. Thanks for this video, I can’t wait for you to create more!
Each time I get to read these kind words, it makes my day, so thank you!
Loved this through and through! You are doing a fantastic job! Cannot wait for the next chapter in the series!
Thank you so much!
This makes me miss WoW. I will never come back, but damn this was some nostalgic stuff for me
Many of these places hold a special place in our hearts. Time flies.
You don't miss. Steph Curry out here.
Hope you plan on extending this past the starting zones. Places like STV, Barrens, Westfall, Northrend, Outlands. All would be amazing in this format.
Currently, my plans are boundless, fueled by your enthusiasm! Each zone has its own distinct richness of history, so anticipate comprehensive lore overviews for each zone in due time!
@@TheChroniclesofAzeroth Awesome! Can't wait. I'm here for it all!
I'm thrilled to have you here so early on!
Oh yes, this is exactly what i wanted. I am to busy to play the game, but always wanted to learn the lore.
Subbed and follow your lore videos ✋️
Awesome, thank you! Welcome aboard!
Ok I am using this channel's videos for learning Swedish now. Great storytelling with the use of YT's translation tool. :)
Excellent! Ha kul och tack så mycket!
So good.
Dude ur vids are amazing i love every second of it wish there was more to watch. But ill be patient
Working tirelessly on the next parts! Thanks for the support!
Wow, fantastic.
Hands down the best lore videos for WoW I’ve seen. Feels like a documentary, it’s great!
Wow, thanks! Glad you like it so much! It makes my day to read this :)
I seriously cannot get enough of these!!!
Great video ❤
Thank you! Enjoy!
You should start reading the books also keep up the awesome work can't wait to see teldrassil and others 😀
My pleasure! Enjoy Teldrassil!
I'm addicted to this serie! Keep the great content up!
Wow is the goat at the mmorpg genre but you re the goat on lore telling ;)
Wow, thanks! Appreciated!
Absolutely love Dun Morogh. My first character I played back in Vanilla Gnome Warlock, lots of good memories
Enjoy the nostalgia!
The 28k subs is still a crime. You deserve all of them. This content is unbelievably calming and informative.
It really leans into the "if you want to know more...go explore it yourself"
Keep it up, trust me, the ones who come upon this channel randomly, find ourselves coming back. ❤️
I'm very happy to read this comment!
There is a vast sense of wonder and exploration that keeps pulling us back into this world, whether it's through our memories and nostalgia, or the sheer amount of content still waiting to be discovered.
I'm here for it all, and can't wait to take you with me on my journeys!
HE SAID IT RIGHT! He said Morogh right!!! Great video mate, really happy this channel exists. It's so great!
I didn't know how to pronounce it until this video haha. I'd always pronounced it "dun muh-ROW"
Yes! Thank you! I gave it my best!
There is a lot of debate about the pronunciation of this zone, but as a Brittish narrator, saying "Dun Mor-uh," akin to "Edinburgh," appears straightforward to me!
@@TheChroniclesofAzeroth trust me, I am a brit. 31 year old brit. Its correct. Great job brother
Really couldn't be happier with this channel. Its fantastic in delivery, the script is top notch.
Wow, you really found your voice with these lore videos. Script, tone and storytelling absolutely on point👌
Would love to see more!
I only just discovered these chronicles and they are absolutely wonderful! Very well written and narrated. I could watch and listen to these for hours. While the visuals perfectly complement the narration, these episodes would also work well as audio only, transporting the listener in their mind's eye to those places we players love and know so well. Thank you -- looking forward to watching all of these.
Glad you like them so much! The first episodes are also available in their own podcast format on Spotify!
Outstanding storytelling with a gentle and deep radio voice. Best lore videos out there.
Glad you enjoy it!
Just wanted to say thank you. I am truly enjoying these region videos. Never stop!
Glad you like them! More to come!
Nice video😊
P.s. you miss to tell something of Ironforge airport😅
It seems I did! Perhaps in a future video!
Happy Sunday, another wonder video.
I REALLY hope they let us reclaim these cities and zones in the next expansion.
Gnomeregan deserves it's freedom!
I hope so too!
The writing/narration is so amazing. Definitely has that new character cinematic feel which was a huuuge part of the nostalgia for many people I'm sure. So seeing a long form version of that is incredible. Absolutely genius.
This is my favorite type of WoW content by far. I was rewatching other lore videos but now that I found these I have a new treasure trove to dive into!😁😁😁
I'm glad to hear your enthusiasm! Even though my catalogue of lore videos is still rather small, I'm actively working on creating new entries. So feel welcome and keep an eye out! Cheers!
Awesome content, loving all of these lore videos. Thank you, Loremaster!
My pleasure!
These are so well done. Ah...I miss you Azeroth...
We never really see a gnome or dwarf character character in lore often enough.
While they possess one of the game's most captivating histories and cultures!
This was very much appreciated and enjoyed. As I begin making my venture into RP my Dwarven Hunter, this gave some amazing inspiration! Thank you!
Glad I could help! Have fun!
Such a great series! Awesome work!!
Thanks a ton!
Great video, brings back a ton of fond memories.
Glad to hear it! Enjoy!
Loved every second of it. Can't wait for the next one. This series is brilliant. I no longer play WoW, but I always liked the lore. Keep up the good work. Hope your channel increases in subs/views every day.
Glad to hear it! Thanks a ton!
Thank you for making the lore of the game easy to understand and for the time it must take to capture all that b roll footage. Excited to learn more about the game!
My pleasure! Enjoy!
this was my first introduction to your channel. excellent writing and narration. the storytelling aspect is phenomenal.
Wow, thank you! Welcome aboard!
Your killing it man! Great and refreshing WoW content 🎉 😊 !
Super to hear that! Enjoy!
Brilliant storytelling accompanied by fitting footage of the zones. If only all WoW YT content was this good. Excellent stuff and you Sir have earned a new subscriber ! 😊
Much appreciated! Welcome aboard!
I started my journey in this game as a gnome. And many alts were gnomes or dwarves. This zone holds a very soft spot in my heart. It was amazing to relive it again through this video. Thanks!!
Very nicely done! All the different slow zooming, panning or roatating shots of each area really helped set the scene for each location. It was kind of like watching a documentary.
If i had any constructive criticism to add i would say occassionally add the zone map overplayed and some effect to show which location is being focused on. Like when you talked about Coldridge Valley have the map show at the start then like a circle drawn on the map or it zooms in to the valley.
It's wonderful to learn that the purpose of this channel has been warmly embraced! Also, thank you for sharing your thoughts - I've taken note of them!
okay imagine a lore video collab between them and Nobel the noble. The dream
Awesome video, looking forward to more! Who knows now, with allied races being more accessible maybe even those starting areas?
Thanks, glad you like it! Which zones would you have in mind?
@TheChroniclesofAzeroth sadly I am a bit to know, but I did see this option for an Exile Island. Not sure if would be a good place to review
It seems that you hint at Exile's Reach, a topic that certainly has the potential for a future exploration of its lore!
Hell yeah! Only thing I'd say is the pronunciation of Dun Morogoh feels off? I COULD be wrong. Regardless, yet another fantastic video, and the penultimate starter zone! Then? THEN WHAT?! There's so So SO many zones i deeply need these style videos done for
As a British narrator, this is how I'd pronounce it. However, ultimately, the choice of pronunciation is entirely based on your personal preference, so no worries! More zones are incoming as fast as this Loremaster can gather the necessary information :)
@@TheChroniclesofAzeroth no offense meant! I've only heard them pronounced 1 way so hearing another phonetic interpretation of it threw me off!
@christopherbronson3275 And none taken! I appreciate your feedback and support!
Most "zone lore" channels tend to pewter out within 6 zones. I hope you can keep up the pace!
6/147 zones done! 😆 (though that's ALL zones; I imagine you won't cover literally all of them)
I'm fully committed to exploring all zones, including cities, and covering characters, events, races, and more! As long as I continue to receive the incredible support my videos have enjoyed thus far, I'll keep going.
I knew Dun Morogh was next haha :D
We had it comin'!
Top tier.
Enjoy!
Wow, you should read for audible books!!!! Hope you do more over warcraft zone and history
Definitely more lore on the way!
@@TheChroniclesofAzeroth i look forward to them!!
Good use of both Retail and Classic versions of the zone.
Thanks! Finding the atmosphere of both versions really helps the visualisation of the story :)
Best wow content rn
Thanks so much!
Probably my all-time favorite WoW starting zone. Always preferred dwarves.
Great to meet ya!
WoW is the LoTR of gaming :D
I want an RTS game about the War of the Three Hammers
Another superb additional to this growing library of Azeroth travel guides. A lot of respect also for the time it must take to select and set up each shot. It gives me chills...or was that just the 'frost-kissed' environment of Dun Morogh? 😉
All in all, I believe recording the entire script of Dun Morogh took me around 4-5 hours. :) Thanks for the support!
❤
Planet earth for WOW. God damn genius.
Great video. Since this was an Alliance zone, I wonder if the next will be a Horde zone. I wanna see if I can guess it. We only have Durotar and Kezan left. My guess is Durotar. Can't wait to see if I'm right.
Let's see where the Lore will take us next time! But you're not far off!
💙
Please do Loch Modan next it's my favorite zone
On my list, keep an eye out!
Ah, Dun Morogh... Home.
Well met, traveler!
Those blasted troggs are at it again!
*Rarw*
Once ye've seen one trogg, ye've seen 'em all!
"Yet, amid the challenges, the dwarves of Kharanos stand TALL and resolute."
Sure they do buddy.
Sshhh they don't have to know THAT!
For Khaz Modan!
Another great video. Your voice is really pleasant to listen to and even though I know all of the lore and such I still find it soothing and nice to listen to you.
Thank you kindly! It's my pleasure to take you on this journey!
It's AI voice bro
Does it matter? AI voices cannot sound nice? What's that discrimination "bro?"
Although it's true that the narration is AI-generated, the idea that it remains enjoyable to listen to still comes across as a compliment to me. Therefore, thank you once again!
Still love these videos. All I have to ask - what happened to the title? Really helped add a little context.
I'm not sure what you mean, the title is unchanged. Can you tell me more?
@TheChroniclesofAzeroth in your elwynn forest video you had chapters when talking about topics for example landscape
The storytelling approach has shifted from segmented sections to a cohesive overarching narrative. Therefore I removed the need for on-screen text in the video, which also led to the absence of distinct chapters.
