- Special Thanks to Jon Saulsgiver for graciously inviting me along on this trip!
I'm in Old Forge, NY for railroad rules class, but I'm sneaking in a trip in a historic Fairmont speeder, Western Maryland MOW 101! Along with watching the entire parade of speeders leave southbound (Saturday) and northbound (Sunday) we ride to Beaver River on the NYC Adirondack Division, now the Adirondack Railroad. Seen along the way are Thendara, Carter Station, and Big Moose.

Thanks so much for bringing us along Harrison! Those speeders look like an absolute gas to ride on! LOVE the "Warbonnet" speeder! If the Santa Fe didn't have their speeders painted up that way they should have!
Thanks again!
Thanks Wayne!
Bravo!!!!!🙌
You made this video FUN😅😂😅😂
Cute snow sheds over the mileposts
Great video as always. I will never get to actually go on one but I felt like I did it today!
Never say never!
Looks like fun! 🚂🚂
💜 17:19 the curve caution sign😂😅😂😅
Nice run.
Thx for putt putt ride and video
Cool
I like the jitney railbus
Looks big enough for me to get served a toasted BLT sammich on board
Great video as always. Lucky man, some day I hope to be able to do that.
Hopefully!
Tupper Lake?
Miracle on rails instead of Miracle on Ice😆🤣😂
Might be a long drive but there is a crazy active train bridge in New Denmark, New Brunswick, Canada called the Salmon River trestle, it blew my mind
I was planning to visit it next week but had to change my route last minute. I want to see it sometime!
25:31 that one with the black shroud looks like Henry Fords grandpa used it
Worse black flies I ever encountered was in Newcomb, had to wear full head netting to ward them off.🙃
That Santa Fe speeder had me laughing. In a good way because that thing is cool
What was the rules class for? Are you working or volunteering on a railroad ?
Working on the Adirondack this summer!
Yikes 11:28 were those passenger cars part of “The Beast “ in Mexico 🇲🇽?
First time you didn’t tell us that it’s chase time😂
Far; Far better maintained trackage than BERX in Royalston 😂😅😂😅
Heading up there in a week. Any high bridges? I fear heights.
@@fathertomoutdoors6579 What trip are you taking? The biggest bridge is between Thendara and Otter Lake going south.
@@NorthCountryTrains I have not heard of these rails trips if it wasn’t for you video. Awesome and thank you. We will be Newcomb again (20yrs) and looking for something different and I loooooove trains. Grew up on the Mainline in Portage PA. So looking to get on in maybe in Tupper Lake. Go and come back. But severe, I mean pass out on bridges higher than 50ft.
@@fathertomoutdoors6579 There’s a couple of medium sized bridges on the trip to Tupper (one is seen in this video) but nothing crazy. If you ride the August 11th trip to Tupper I’ll be working the train.
😂🤣😆just be careful and don’t be dumb
Applies to every single person who watches an active or abandoned rail line
Far; Far better maintained trackage than BERX in Royalston 😂😅😂😅
