The intro look super professional nice work
I'm glad you like it!
Damn dude, the video looks too professional for a opensource product!
Thank you so much!
Agreed. The video quality is amazing and GNOME is a very premium desktop
Honestly Gnome is feeling more polished than Windows and macOS at this point, switched full time over a year ago.
Only waiting for fractional scaling now.
Fantastic video, friend!
Thank you! Cheers!
Video quality is FIRE
Thank you so much!
Damn! Didn't expect to get RickRolled here bro
Man your editing is fire 🔥
Thanks!
Thanks!
Damn fire visuals
Thanks a tonnn!!!
The Video Intro was so professional that I thought it's an Ad , and tried to skip it.
HOW YOU ARE EDIT YOUR VIDEO WITH THIS CLEAR INTERFACE AND ANIMATION WHICH MAKE ME SHUT. PLS CAN YOU TELL ME I AM GLAD TO SEE THIS EDITING PLS TELL ME WHICH SOFTWARE AND APP YOU ARE USING😮.
Thank you so much! I use Resolve for editing.
Small pick but the weather app should never default to Fahrenheit.
Very cool intro
So informative.
love the sidebar
Nice review
Thank you!
Have they added built in support for solid color backgrounds yet?
I always hope for something to amaze me in a new major release, but there's nothing in Gnome 45 that does it for me. I like the chamges i see, but I'm already ready for Gnome 46, or Gnome 50.
What changes will we see then? A Gnome personal assistant would be a nice addition for one. Maybe a Gnome Container Hub/Manager, which would do exactly what you'd expect it to and be compatible with what it should be compatible with. What else? What's in Gnome 50?
You could probably make your own Mycroft assistant and integrate it, unless you're talking about a LLM thing in which case similar idea but you'd have to put more work in and pay for gpt or a lot of compute
Container hub would be cool, idk if either of these should necessarily be core gnome features but they seem interesting
Cool stuff, if only Gnome would fix the blur issues (ik it’s never gonna happen shell wide, maybe only for the top bar).
I still have to configure i3 on xorg (being on popos / ubuntu with optimus is apparently a recipe for disaster in regards to building and running hyprland or sway unfortunately), but really cool to see such a smooth and functional oob experience (I suppose that’s their main goal, not to satisfy my showoff eyecandy “needs”).
Awesome work
Thank you! Cheers!
Does it scale good on 4K display
Now that KDE is finally stable with wayland, I have moved on from Gnome.
Will only use it if it has consistency in its UI and font rendering and the extensions app works out of the box with epiphany. I don't want to use firefox for that.
Will I be able to change my default terminal on this one?...
Yes sure you can.
@@ArcTechnologies How? Because on GNOME 44 it seems impossible to me haha
They should seriously add a scroll speed slider. People are having to fix their issues like cavemen googling and throwing stuff at the wall to see if it sticks
Even though they said the mouse cursor was supposed to be smoother it’s actually worse with the new version of mutter
I am new to linux please give me a proper suggestion, I am planning to migrate from windows to Linux, so which one will be better for me as a beginner "Ubuntu or Zorin Os or anything else" please suggest me, n one more thing I like gnome based distribution, thank you in advance ❤️.
Fedora workstation
Ubuntu or Linux Mint. Personally, I prefer Linux Mint as it is very similar to Windows.
Pop os
I really like all of these, popos fedora mint
Anything you want really, just avoid Ubuntu at all costs. Mint is recommended, but best gnome experience are probably Void (non-begginer, sorry) and Nobara/Fedora.
Never thought I'd be Rick rolled watching a Linux video!!
Now that's a first🤣
