    Hopefully ~Nika Muhl~ is ok, & comes back to play Tuesday, I’m rooting for her, scary injury today, kinda reminds me of the one she had back a couple of weeks ago against St. John’s red storms, she’s a warrior, I never ever seen any one play defense like her, truly plays every possession like there’s no tomorrow, somebody once said on RUclips Nika Muhl is the Heart & Soul of the UConn Huskies team, at first I was like what ?? But I’m starting to understand what he means, she’s different, the UConn Huskies need her to go all the way, she’s able lock down and stop the others team best point guard players~ hope the best

      I agree completely about Nika, I'm looking forward to see her grow and prosper over the next few years. I know Huskie nation want a NC this year and that would be great. If it doesn't happen though rest assured they are winning the next 3!!! I have no doubts about it. They have strong recruits coming in the next 2yrs these girls not only want to play for Geno and this storied program they also want to play with PAIGE...

    Regarding the weight room fiasco i keep hearing people say that "men's basketball brings in more money" but hold up. As far as college athletics go dont most schools already have training facilities for teams to use regardless of sport? And since these tournement games are being played with little to no attendance due to covid what significant revenue is being brought in by these games that could justify the disparity between the men and womens weight rooms. Somebody wanna explain? And i understand tv rating and all, but it doesn't cost THAT much for some weights.

    • @neiladlington950
      @neiladlington950 3 года назад +1

      Didn't you hear? Official pronouncements say the weight rooms for the ladies were deemed "adequate". In other words, good enough for "them".

      I think it's the fact that it's more than just viewership. you're right that viewership might not generate as much as people think, but just think how different brands pay the NCAA to get there advertisements in the men's compared to the women's. Because the viewership is so much higher than the women's, a lot more people will see the ads and henceforth, companies will pay A LOT more money to have ads in March madness for men's than the women's, I think that is where they get most of the money, especially this year. I'm not saying it's wrong what the NCAA is doing to the girls teams, they should have better things, but you have to think. Throughout the whole march madness in 2019, there were an average of 10.9 million people watching the men's games, not even the championship. The woman's championship in 2019 gathered only 3.6 million, and that's a 24% increase from 2016 which is really sad.

      @@matthewhelser6437 3.6 million viewers.. Yeah, I see what you mean. Wherever are they going to get those needed THOUSANDS of dollars for the woman's weight room? Sorry, no words or rationalizing can explain this disgusting and disrespectful discrepancy.

There have been countless of upsets this year. Anyone can win any day. Ladies looked a little tired in the first 2 quarters. Holding on to their trunks was a good indication. They need to have their motor warmed up right away as they go into the next round or they will have to play catch up. High Point is small and could not match up with the bigger Huskies. Now they will face a much bigger force on the inside. Guards will have to step up. With the lose of Muhl who many think is the glue to the Huskies it will be a challenge.

      @@bloocco2393 You can not put all the weigh on Paige. Did you see the one on one “D” High Point put on her. Shut her down in the first 2 quarters. High Point should have switched up their people on Paige to wear her down but instead wore that one defender down. Paige is a handful one on one. Teams coming up are good and have size at the guard positions but not the level of UCONN. The next level will give the ladies all they can handle. Next 2 teams will be a good test.
