Thank you for watching Karen! I’m so glad you found me. So sorry for the enabling! 😁 I feel your pain. If it wasn’t for flosstube I’d have a lot more money in my pocket. 😂 Have a wonderful weekend and I hope you come back again. 💕
Hi Mary nice to meet you. Love your accent. I'm from South Wales but am in fact English. Love that you use Aida I love it. I know the evenweaves and linens are gorgeous but I can't work with them. Love your projects. The finishes are really lovely. Your WIPS are good fun too. X
Hello Carol, I’m so glad you found my channel. I was in South Wales many years ago. Caerphilly and Cardiff. It is so beautiful. Where in England are you from? I really do prefer Aida. 18 or 20 counts are my favorites. I do stitch on linens/evenweave some, but it’s definitely not my favorite. Now Aida comes in so many pretty colors so it makes it even more enjoyable. Please come back and watch again. I hope to have a new video up within the week. Have a great weekend! 💕
Its been ages since I've had time to watch your videos, you are looking well and I love all your projects. I too have started loving Barbara Ana designs and yes its because of Yas. Take care and see you on your next video. Now to watch the ones I missed.
Hello Netta. So glad you stopped by to watch. Yas is a great enabler! Her projects are so pretty and she gets so many done so quickly. I started a Barbara Ana dreaming girl but had to unpick it all as I messed up so much. I do that a lot it seems!! Hope you are well. Take care. 💕
Loved your finishes. Sue Hollis us a favorite designer of mine. So many beautiful WIPs you’re working on too. WOW!! I stitched while watching. So relaxing to listen and watch you. I hear ya in the glasses. You will LOVE bifocals. I felt old when I got mine in my late 40s. Wish I had gotten them sooner.
Thanks Sherry! I don’t have the glasses yet but I’m hoping they help! 🤓 I’ve gone a bit crazy with new starts lately but it’s ok. It’s been fun!! Thanks for always watching and being so supportive! Hope you are well. 💕
Lovely to catch up with you as always Mary!! You always have such wonderful things to show off. Your video helped me jumpstart my stitchy bug back. Thank you for enabling me!!
Hi..I just found your channel today, love all your beautiful stitching. Looking forward to your next video. Thank you for sharing your beautiful pieces. Happy Stitching.
Lovely finding you in the tube. Your work is beautiful. So many wips!! I find it hard to work on more than a few things at a time but hope to get in to some sort of rotation.
So glad you found my channel! So many WIPS and I’ve added more!! 🙄 I’m now at the point where I have to start finishing before adding more. I’m a little overwhelmed now! 😂 So it’s time to focus on a few at a time and get some things done. Thank you so much for your comment and for watching. Take care. 💕
Lovely to see you Mary and catch up. You always have beautiful stitching. Your Jardin Preve piece is really pretty and I love how your stitching lady is coming out. Your planned starts will look really good on the fabric you have chosen. Belated Happy Birthday. Have a good week or so. X
Hi Mary, I'm so happy I found your channel as I sit and stitch today. I am relatively new to this hobby and it is so fun to see such a wide variety of patterns and also fabrics. I'm like you...my tastes are rather eclectic, so I enjoy all the different styles you work on. I could listen to your calming voice and lovely accent all day! Your work is very beautiful. That All Creatures Great and Small is really something and I look forward to seeing your journey with it. I am also excited about some of your Plum Street new starts you have planned. I am getting ready to start This is the Day. It will be my largest project so far! We are having a little work done in our master bedroom this coming week. We are not doing the work ourselves, but just emptying out the entire room and closet and trying to keep this process as organized and efficient as possible is a lot. I find remodel work to be a tricky balance of exciting and fun while also disrupting to my mental peace and emotionally tiresome. I'm overwhelmingly grateful and a little annoyed at the same time! HA! Stitching is good therapy for remodel warriors. :-)
Hello Brooke! I’m so happy you found my channel. How fun that you have found cross stitch. It’s such a wonderful hobby. The Plum Street This Is The Day is one that I have on my wish list. I love it. Remember, no matter how big the project, it is just one stitch at a time. Remodeling is a nightmare at times. We moved into this house 4 years ago and thought we’d have it done in 6 months. 😂 There was a lot of issues we didn’t know about so the only area that’s been finished so far is the basement. There are 2 more floors to go. 😳 I hope that your master bedroom project is going well and that you love the results. Thanks so much for watching. Please come back again! 💕
I love all your finishes. I also love Sue Hillis patterns and have the patriotic one not started yet, but one of these days hopefully. I have a Christmas one of hers about 3/4 finished and hope to get it done before Christmas this year. The beautiful things you stitch are all things I would love to stitch, you are very inspirational to me! Thank you for making flosstubes and I can really relate to your anxiety. I hope you keep stitching happy!
Sally, thank you for your lovely comment. I’m sorry to hear you have anxiety also. It’s a horrible thing. I’ve always had it to some degree but within the last year it has become so bad. Stitching really does help and being part of the flosstube community helps me feel less isolated. I need to look for more Sue Hillis designs. I hadn’t heard of her until a few months ago but love the designs and the coloring she chooses. Happy stitching and please come back again. 💕
Great finishes! I agree, I love the older patterns and I have a stack that I’m ready to start whenever I feel I can take on something new. Have a great time at Shepherd’s Bush!
Thank you so much! 💕 It’s always so tempering to reach for something new and ignore all the wonderful older charts. It’s definitely my goal to reach for those more often. Haven’t made it to shepherds bush yet, maybe this week! Thank you so much for watching and for your comment. Have a good evening. ❤️
I recent found you and was finally able to watch. You have some really nice projects. I’m looking forward to seeing more. Our weather has been quite strange here as well. It actually snowed over memorial weekend. 😳 take care ~ elisa
Hello Elisa! I’m glad you found me and thanks so much for watching. I just found your channel too and look forward to watching. The weather has been so odd this year for sure. Where in Colorado are you? We were there last summer. It’s beautiful. 💕
Beautiful finishes, I especially like Glasgow! Nice progress on your wips too. It's too bad the skin tone on Winter wasn't as dark and rich as pictured. You have some nice upcoming projects. Take care and happy stitching.
Thank you stitch odyssey. 💕 I love Celtic winter even though her skin is lighter and someone more creative could have changed that easily, but it’s still a special piece I think my daughter will enjoy. I appreciate you watching and appreciate your comment. Happy stitching to you too! 💕
Nice finishes. I have one finish plus one almost done. I was up in Utah last month visiting family. I wanted to go to Shepherd's Bush but there just wasn't time. I hope to go there the next time I'm in Utah.
Thanks heden! Which charts did you finish and have almost finished? I hope that next time you are in Utah you can visit shepherds bush. My local lns is in the salt lake valley and is the craft center of fine Stitchery. That is also a great store if it ends up being more convenient for you. Thanks for always watching and taking the time to comment . I appreciate it so much. Happy stitching! 💕
I finished an embroidery piece from Chloe Art Crafts. I believe it's called Wind singing. I need to practice my satin stitching and that was good one to do it on. My almost finish is a freebie from Crocette a Gogo called Summer House. They are both smalls. I was tired of working on the big pieces. I'll have to check out the LNS you mentioned. I haven't been there before.
A new subscriber here! :-) Your choices in projects are very much like what I enjoy working on--so many similarities in taste! Good luck with all the designs you have chosen.
Thanks so much for subscribing Deborah! I’m so happy to have you watch my video! I’m very glad you enjoyed seeing my projects. I used to be a monogamous stitcher until I discovered flosstube last year! 😁 please come back again and happy stitching! 💕
Great flosstube Mary, lots to see and all fabulous! I am getting my flea market flowers back from the framer on Monday, it’s just in a plain pine frame and I chose no mount/surround. Enjoy the rest of the weekend! Oh..bifocals.. I wear them, I can’t get in with varifocals .. hope you get your glasses sorted, nothing worse than eye problems esp when your a stitcher 😣 I don’t feel old wearing them, I had a hip replacement 4 yrs prior to getting them and that made me feel older 😋 at the grand age of 50!
Sharon…I saw your framed flea market flowers and it is beautiful! It’s such a deceiving piece. You think it won’t take long and then you realize how much stitching there is in it. It’s so happy and cheerful though. I love stitching it Oh I tried varifocals before and I could not adjust at all. My optician told me that with my dizziness he wouldn’t even try them with me. That some people that don’t have dizziness end up dizzy with them!! 😂 still waiting for the glasses to come in. I hope they help. Sorry about your hip replacement. 😢 Thanks so much for watching and commenting. It’s much appreciated. 💕
@@marysstitchingcorner8050 I thought the same re the flowers some of those flowers were never-ending! But worth the time invested, in hindsight I'd have chosen brighter colours on a black aida, I have seen some beautiful variations in the design.
You have made so much progress on all your projects! I am very impressed! They are all lovely! I feel like I am a very slow stitcher, but it would go so much faster if I could count and thread my needle faster and of course there are the knots!!! Also, there is a new Barbara Ana Mystery Stitch that just started! I am debating whether to start that one too! Yes, so many lovely charts to dream about! I too have a lot of the older Miras! I have several of the Mermaids and also two that Ailarra just showed on her FT. Some of the beads are hard to find on some of them so I will have to try and kit up the new ones soon! The Mermaids I have have been kitted up for 20 plus years! Guess it would be nice to start one of them! Looking forward to the 19th for Flag Flock! Should be fun! And it looks like our Fall stitching will be fantastic as well! Enjoying stitching our SAL’s. It’s fun to be enabled and trying to stitch all the things! Have a great weekend my friend!
Hello Patty! Thanks for watching and always being so supportive. My goal is to start pulling out some of the older charts I’ve had for years. Good to know that you can’t get some of the beads for some of the older mirabilias. Wonder if substitutions are listed anywhere. Thanks for your friendship! Looking forward to stitching all our sals!! 💕
Your finishes are wonderful, especially our lovely Glasgow. You'll laugh at this .... last October we went up to visit my Mum and Dad near Glasgow and went into Glasgow for the day before we left. On a whim we decided to take a tour bus because we'd never done that before and absolutely froze our way around the sights - it was such a cold day and the wind up the top of the bus as we belted along the motorway past The Armadillo was baltic - never doing that again at that time of the year LOL. Hi Laura! It’s funny how we all enable each other. I keep telling myself “no more” but it doesn’t seem to be working!! 😂 I’ve added at least 4 new starts this week alone! 🙄 There are too many cute charts and if I didn’t watch flosstube I wouldn’t know about most of them. 😁 Still, we have to do what makes us happy and calms our soul. Hope you are doing ok. Hope all goes well this week. Reach out if you need anything. ❤️
Great finishes. I especially love the Sue Hillis piece! We’re at over $5/gallon here in MI also, and it is depressing thinking how much it is going to cost to haul the camper.
Hi Katrina! Thank you! I need to look for some more Sue Hillis charts. Like I need anything else!! 🙄 Gas is outrageous. We do a lot of driving on our camping trips and I’m not sure if it will be worth it this year. Hauling the camper is expensive at the best of times. I hope you are well and thanks for watching and commenting! 💕
I love your stitching, it all looks beautiful! I’m currently working on the cardinal sampler from Owl Forest and enjoying it a lot. I love birds in cross stitch. I also love all of the Samplers of the month, I’ve put them all in my 123 Stitch wish list. I’m hoping to start purchasing them in a few months, due to big expenses the next two months I’m on a no buying limit…lol
