Thank you for watching! You can find all of the printable recipes on my blog dailyconnoisseur.blogspot.com/2020/12/3-delicious-make-ahead-breakfast.html I hope I gave you some great ideas for breakfasts this holiday season! Love, Jennifer
I make a Christmas bread...a recipe that my mother-in-law shower me how to make over 20 years ago. A few years ago she was visiting and complemented me on the bread... that mine was better than hers. That was very nice of her. It has a delicious stripe of almond paste down the middle. It’s a yeast bread that I make in advance. I serve it as toasted slices with Gouda cheese, butter, jam...hot chocolate and coffee on a beautifully set table. It’s a tradition I’ll always keep. Thanks for always inspiring! 🌲
Off topic here: thank you, Madame Chic, for teaching us to live elegantly at home. Many fashion sites are giving in to frumpy sweats and jogging pants because we are "at home", but you teach us that we dress for ourselves, because we are worth it. Bravo!
A word regarding Breakfast Casseroles, I learned if you add a can of Rotel to just about any breakfast casserole, it kicks the flavor up a notch! The house smells amazing, plus you've added more vegs to your dish.
Jennifer, I made your potato, sausage, egg & cheese casserole this morning....and it was a huge hit with the family. I'll be making it again on Christmas Eve to serve on Christmas morning. I'll also be making the cream cheese pastries as well. Thank you so much for sharing! 😁
Looking forward to enjoying a nice christmas eve morning this year, with just my hubby and my two small boys. I am going to make the casserole so we can spend more time enjoying one another and so i don't have to be stuck in the kitchen all morn!
I love your recipes! Last Sunday I was supposed to attend the Toledo Ballet’s 80th Nutcracker performance. (The longest consecutively running Nutcracker in the country!) Instead it was a recorded performance that we watched at home. I had a tea for my daughter, daughter-in-law and her mother. I used your jam tart and cucumber sandwich recipes. We also had scones (from a.mix), and turkey salad sandwiches with cranberry sauce. We had such a lovely time! My daughter and I have lost track of how long we have been going but I think this was our 14th year! Thank you for all your great ideas and inspiration!
My head wasn’t always around what we would eat for Christmas breakfast when my children were young, but the older they grew, the more I had to prepare. Any hash brown/egg recipe was a hit...this make ahead casserole looks amazing!
We have been doing brunch for many years. My mom did it and I continued the tradition. We start our brunch at about 10:30. I'm from an Italian/Irish family. We actually have our celebration dinner with relatives on Christmas Eve and exchange gifts. Christmas morning was for my brothers, sisters, Momma, Pappa, reading scripture, opening gifts, and then brunch. Through the years I have made many beautiful memories and have many treasured memories in albums, and we watch those memories on TV but most of all they are PLANTED IN MY HEART🎄❤🎄❤🎄 Merry Christmas to you and your Family❤🎄❤
Lovely ideas, thank you Jennifer. The casserole would be considered a rather rich option for breakfast in England (especially on Christmas morning), but I like it as a supper idea! I love the jam tart recipes. On Christmas morning we usually have smoked salmon, cream cheese and bagels. With a pot of English breakfast tea of course. I love your Spode plates! Xx
When my children were young, I would always buy a braided sweet bread. We would place candles on top and sing “happy birthday” to the baby Jesus. An orange from the bottom of their stocking and hot cocoa with whipped cream and crushed peppermint candy rounded out this yummy Christmas morning breakfast.
Yummy!!! They all looks delicious!!! I’m not big on oatmeal either but I’m sure everyone else would love all of them!! Thank you, Jennifer and Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family!!❤️❄️⛄️⛪️🎄
Wonderful breakfast ideas, thank you, Jennifer! My make-ahead idea to share is to serve mini fresh fruit skewers, with assorted melon, grapes, and then finish with a strawberry. They are fun to make, they are colorful on the plate, and children really enjoy them, too.
Jennifer, you are amazing! Your class, your thoughtfulness, your magnificent organization! While most of us are struggling to have everything prepared for Christmas, you are able to create all the content along with taking such great care to your whole family. You are my role model and inspiration. I can't wait to see more of your content in 2021. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
We loved these recipes❤️. These will be our new Christmas meals. I order croissants from sur la table for New Year’s Day. I leave them out overnight to proof before I bake them in the morning. 😄 Lovely videos❤️. Reminds me of my mom who is with the Lord ❤️ Whatever is true Whatever is noble Whatever is right Whatever is pure Whatever is lovely Thank you for the lovely ☺️ 🌸🌸🌸
I just made two loaves of your zucchini bread (that you shared a few months back) yesterday. My elderly mother does not have much of an appetite, but she loves the zucchini bread! These recipes also sound wonderful.❤️
Thank you, Jennifer. Great ideas for Christmas morning. So true, lotsa prep for the meals and we really should have a nice breakfast, too. I used to make a sausage stuffed bread that was so yummy. I might bring that into the rotation. Super easy. I used store bought frozen bread dough (yup, I sure did!) and browned sausage and onions and mushrooms together with seasonings. I spread that mixture out on the thawed out bread dough and cute the sides to have them cross over each other to close up the bread seams up. So pretty! Egg wash, bake and enjoy. So many variations with cheese, eggs, fruit instead of sausage. Merry Christmas and thank you for your channel and the content. So needed!!!!
We are having 2 of these recipes this Christmas morning, thank you for sharing them. The casserole and the pastries! I did put the casserole together yesterday so all I had to do today was throw it in the oven, it’s baking now. Merry CHRISTMAS to you and your family, have a beautifully blessed day!
Hi Jennifer, my friend and I both made the breakfast casserole and the rolls on Christmas morning! We agreed that both recipes were delicious and we would make them again. Thank you for sharing!
They all looked yummy 😋 I always make a full English breakfast Christmas morning. I've worked out all the timings perfectly now. We open stockings, have breakfast, get ready, and can be out the door and heading to church by 10am. We won't be attending physical church this year 😔 as we are still in lockdown, but we will hopefully be able to watch a virtual service.
This is our family’s first Christmas requiring gluten-free recipes, so I greatly appreciate the first two recipe ideas you shared. Thank you, Jennifer! 😊
We have a long standing tradition of baked apples. I prepare them the night before by coring each apple and stuffing it full of a brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and raisin mixture. Put a dollop of butter on top. Bake for about an hour at 3:50 in a deep baking dish. Serve in bowls with cream poured over the top. Delicious smell for the family to wake up to in the morning. Very yummy! Tip: Don't core the apple all the way through. Leave the bottom intact.
Because I am approximately 60 years older in my soul than in real life, oatmeal is one of my very favorite foods. 😂 So many ways to flavor it. So excited to eat it all winter. Crushed Graham crackers is inspired!
Wow this looks wonderful! My kids are older (19 and 22) and for the last few years I’ve been making a big breakfast casserole for the few days BEFORE Christmas. Then everyone gets up and has something a little festive but still hearty before they go on with their day. I have something different for Christmas brunch (stollen, smoked salmon and bagels, fruit platter, taylor pork roll). Great ideas!
I will use that casserole recipe! Our family has always had a really big breakfast growing up. We girls had our stockings first thing but then had to wait until after a large breakfast to have the tree. Over the years, it has gotten a bit smaller but it's still a tradition. We also had bubble wreath, that my aunt always made which looked like a wreath. Later in my adult life I figured out that it monkey bread was the same thing! This sausage bake covers all the bases. Thank you.
The hash brown casserole looks amazing!! We will be doing it this year! (I’m already using my crockpot for Miss Liz Hearts roast-if you haven’t tried it, it’s fantastic!! I will get a small crockpot soon because we all love oatmeal) Thank-you for the yummy breakfast recipes!! BTW, I picked up the crystal ice tea glasses from Riverbend & love them! They elevate our table! MERRY CHRISTMAS! 🎄🎁 ☃️❤️
So many good ideas, I definitely will be trying the crescent rolls with the cream cheese topping and my favorite jelly. A special breakfast I like to serve is a yogurt parfait. I take plain Greek yogurt and mix it with a package of vanilla pudding and then do alternate layers of granola, yogurt and fruit (at Christmas usually cherries). I top it with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
Yum! Great presentation! As a mom of 7 (ages 13 to 34) our Christmas morning tradition is biscuits and GeMaw gravy. Homemade gravy with diced boiled eggs and crumbled bacon. They love it. I will use your clever recipes the week following. Thank you!
I’m making those rolls! I usually make homemade cinnamon rolls, but so much work involved, and I’m looking to simplify this year. Thank you dear one. ❄️☃️🙏🏻
This video was perfect!!! I will make the casserole and the pastries!!! I've been wondering what I'd make this year!! Thank you so much and Merry Christmas to the Scott family!!
Jennifer, thank you for these wonderful easy recipes. I have always made an egg bake for Christmas Day but using the bread cubes. I am definitely going to use this recipe with the has browns- It sounds so yummy. Also the crescent rolls look fabulous -definitely going to do that too. Merry Christmas!
Yum! We do a breakfast casserole with croissants as the crust, top and bottom. I will be trying yours this year......with the croissants. Savory and sweet.
I usually make a breakfast casserole and cinnamon rolls (Pioneer Woman's but I use a different glaze because hers is too sweet) for Christmas morning but those pastries look amazing.
Merry Christmas Jennifer. Thank you for your wonderful channel and all the things I""ve learned from you this year. On Christmas morning I make French toast with apple chutney sausage, and non alcoholic mimosas. Please tell me where you purchased your flatware. Thank you and again Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I love your Casserole!!!!!! My hubby isn't a fan of sausage, but I could maybe substitute ham and add some red bell pepper. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!
We make oatmeal using 1:1 oatmeal+ powdered milk and then milk instead of water! Makes the oatmeal much richer and more protein rich. We arrived at this when my oldest was little, and also tiny, his Dr was sure he was underweight (we are a diminutive people, my partner is only 5"5') so we tried to add calories to his usual food. We love oatmeal this way and I urge everyone out there to try it, especially if you like your oatmeal sweet... It does spoil you for oatmeal in diners though! All in all great video Jennifer, I just wanted to share!
These recipes look amazing Jennifer! 💖💖💖 I will add them to my homemaking journal and will adapt them to my keto way of eating. I will also adapt the egg recipe for my little boy Yorkie, Jason Bungee Butt Waddle Wump, who loves his egg for breakfast 🐶🐾😉 Thank you so much and Merry Christmas breakfast to you and yours. 💃💐💖😘
I’ve never made Christmas brunch before and wanted to try it this year. How exciting and perfect that you made this video for us - thank you! 😃💜 I love Riley’s Farm! I haven’t tried their jams, but the neighboring farm, Los Rios Rancho, has delicious apple butter and pumpkin butter. 😋

I love that! I hope that's a good thing! haha

Thank you for supporting my local Riley's Farm! Everything looks divine!
We love it there! We go every year at least once.
Thank you ❤️! Would you give us a closet tour of how you store your out of season wardrobe and special occasion items?
I love you that guys have a Christmas tradition! My mom always made cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning!
Thank you for these recipes Jennifer! These look perfect for any holiday family gathering.
Xx
A random question but Where is your watch from Jennifer ? Such a lovely classic design x
Jennifer, also here is a video idea - please can you show us how you prepare your Christmas lunch ❤️ Thank you!

@@TheDailyConnoisseur Thank you--and how could I forget my favorite fruit on the mini skewer, pineapple!
The fruit crescent rolls were so beautiful. You had recipes for even lower budget options!
