How in the actual hell was this not played on the radio? this exact version!!! in 2023 this should be playing on this big blue marble we call Earth. Beautiful, enchanting...
This version of Dance Hall Days is so MAJESTIC. It's awesomely wonderful. I absolutely adore it. Just another level of sonic heaven. Thanks boys et al.
I have cried to see this for 2 reasons: 1. I have see as this song was coming out in the 80´s and know the original clip. 2. I see the clip know and see how old they are in 2019 and ask myself where is the time? I hope you all unterstand what i mean? The time fly away so fast that i don´t know how much will us be left? I´m afraid that the time of life is to short when i see and hear so a beautifull song like this... God bless everyone and may we all have a good remember of songs like this when our time will come to go❤😘
Wow, this is fantastic. I had no idea they were doing this, I was worried Jack had lost interest in Wang Chung. Fantastic to see them both performing together again. Jack's vocals are still great, I hope to see more from them!
@@Michael-fc7no No, they definitely aren't. You might go listen the original again. His voice has a deeper tone now and his phrasing is a bit different consistent with age. He also makes different choices here and there.
Rock meets Pop, meets Classical performance, throw in glorious instrumentation and voice, and you have one of the most glorious hot hits ever. Just love it! I dance every time I hear this awesome wonder! When you think that it came about due to some off teaching time because ONE KID DIDN'T TURN UP FOR THEIR MUSIC LESSON! Gifts really do arrive in mysterious ways, for us all to enjoy many these decades later and then some! Thank you, gents🎉💥👏👍
Just beautiful. Brings back so many memories...... I so....so...miss the 80's. Makes my heart ache... I recall listening to this song blasting on my boom box in the 80's. Late nights in my bedroom. Also calling them old is just not classy at all. All that matters is that their talented and can perform like the professionals that they are. Kinda surreal that that the ballet dancer wasn't even born when this song song was originally released. Those of us that lived this song in real time, this a great tribute.
I have heard gta 6 will be based on Miami and some city in Brazil. vice city is also based on Miami. So the map won't be exactly the same. If might be like gta 5.
I just can't stop watching this performance. I was lucky to have experienced this song and band in real time in the 80's. My teen years were entirely in the 80's. The lead singer vocals are exactly the same as they were in the 80's. In videos and live performances back in the 80's. Just memories of great times.....
Every now and again the RUclips algorithm suggests a video which it thinks I might find interesting. I have to say this was incredible. Absolutely loved it
This is a strange song. When this came out it was being played by so many different types of people who followed different types of music , yet no matter who or where it was being played it seemed to fit. Its one of those anthem songs that bespoke of a time and worked for so many people. So many mixed tapes no matter the genre would have this in it back in the day.
To all the people who committed about their age you'll be there soon enough but music itself never does it just gets rediscovered and loved by more people been a w.c. fan since the beginning stay safe and strong world
If you two guy's knew what that song means to "me...you..and everyone I knew! You..would.. probably wonder..who's THAT fool" Well, that fool is my brother, guys ;-) We never liked the same music, but we like dance hall days. Thanks, for the memories, guys. You're awesome!
Incredible, is nothing impossible for a Philharmonic Orchestra? While visually aged, my ears swear on a stack of Bibles he hasn't aged a day. That's just how fucking good that lead voice is still. I loved the Original back in the 80's & I'm elated to have those Dance Hall Days once more. 😂Tears of Elation.
Very well done, they still sound pretty much the same after all these years. What a well done remaster of this classic 1984 hit with an orchestral arrangement. Everybody Wang Chung tonight! 😄
It is so absolutely great to hear and see the guys together and making music!!! Met them in 2010 in Milwaukee Wi and they were totally down to earth excellent guys. They truly care about there Wang Chung fans! Fantastic music over the decades by two top notch performers!!!!
Normally I would say, you can't mess with perfection! But I can honestly say that there can always be an exception to every rule, and this is one of them! Fantastic!
Wang Chung were a groovy band - highly underated if you ask me, they had a groovy string of hits in the 80's my fav was this one and Everybody have fun tonight, Hypnotize me, good to see them back in action - Best wishes to them.
This was an awesome song my older sis loved these guys. And the orchestral melodies make it even better! Long live the 80s!!! B) Dang the vocalist doesn't even sound like an old man!.. crazy.
FANTÁSTICA versión GRACIAS a la Filarmónica de Praga, esto si que es verdadera BUENA MÚSICA, un CORDIAL SALUDO desde MADRID🍻🙋 a todos los AMANTES de la BUENA MÚSICA.
Orchestral reworks often water down the energy of the original, but Wang Chung and CPO nailed it! I didn't fully appreciate this track in its first release, but Professor of Rock kickstarted a new fascination, and it's now in my playlist as a favourite.
Oh, my god. I just watched this masterpiece of musical integration multiple times after stumbling on it in a wine-fueled evening of halfheartedly searching for 80's video memories. Good lord, this magical, epic performance has 3.6k views? I am too old to understand this world.
I love this song from the Bumblebee soundtrack. It's funky but melancholy. The build-up of the strings from 1.48 in this orchestral version is so beautiful.
These dudes looks awesome! One of the most underrated bands of eighties 😡. My greatest recalls of my chilhood and adolescence, come from this band 👏🙌❤️!
I love Wang Chung they are the best band ever i love dance 🩰 all day s i love this song it is the best ever i love the there music 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶 is the best ever

Ghey
Because we live in such a terrible era now...
Sounds like a David Bowie nmbr
Isn't it!
God,the strings really make this, what a master version.
It was the golden age of music..........days long gone
WE NEED MORE REVIVED 80's MUSIC LIKE THIS!
80s music is better than the shit you get today.
I agree, They could make a mint off rerecorded classics like this. Best songs of my youth and still going strong to this day.
WE NEED OF FUCK LIBERTY !!!!!
No we just need more PLAYERS like these guys!
If anyone finds more artists doing this, LET ME KNOW! I love this!
Some forty years after this song first came on the radio, and it still sounds fantastic!
40yrs ago but sounds like it was made yesterday and it would kick ass today
I was in my 20's when this song was popular. I loved it then & love it now at 64. Timeless.
Agree
Pure gold from the lovely 80's.

We had the best music and musicians back in 80s. It was an amazing experience growing up in America back then. Cheers.
I loved my dance hall days cause I met my lovely trishie 35 years ago tonight my misses wang Chung yes great
I really didn't appreciate how good this song was back in the day.
Amen! That goes for a lot of stuff, go back and give music you ignored a listen!
I think I appreciated it in another way as a young kid than now...
How to make a great song even better: call the classic orchestra! ❤👍
This version of Dance Hall Days is so MAJESTIC. It's awesomely wonderful. I absolutely adore it. Just another level of sonic heaven. Thanks boys et al.
Very well phrased, Cherry!
I agree fullheartedly....
I’ve made a lot of money writing a lot of songs and I can tell you this pre-chorus is one of the greatest ever.
And you are
This is one guy that still has his sound that he had 30 years ago
Damn they're old, but damn that voice is still as good as decades ago!
radiostate they’re in their 60’s, what do you expect. This song was made in the 80’s.
We are all old from this time in life.
Sign of a good life.......I bet
Yea mean, it's true! And Russian listen his songs!
Just like Robert Smith... And David Summers.
Everybody Wang Chung tonight.
Wow, Jack Hues voice hasn't changed in 4 decades. I've alwasy like this song from the start
That’s because it’s the original vocal track
He's not exactly Ian Gillan, he's a soft vocalist.
This guy still has the same voice, amazing
That settles it...i'm going back to the 80's....who's coming with me??
Myself, Doc, and Marty Mcfly.

absolutley brilliant and wow his voice is still awesome
I think he is miming. The vocals are identical to the original song

@@Michael-fc7noof course he's miming for the video, but those are not the original vocals from the mid 80's.

This song was always a classic. With the Orchestra it goes to a whole other better level!
The colour of 1984 has been refreshed, the optimism is still there.
The golden era. It’ll never be as good as this ever again. I wish you all the very best in life. 🙏🏼
Old men being cool as ever
I Iove it
This? This is awesome.
I'm from Mexico and I started to love pop rock in English thanks to wang chung with this song from 1983 I still have my first LP" points on the curve"

If GTA 6 will be in Vice City again so they should puts this remaster song on one of the radio stations.
Gta 6 is more a San Andreas than a vice city

Even forwarding from the early 80s, you guys are still FANTASTIC !

Better than the original. We need more of this - 80s track with the orchestral backing.
Cutting Crew did a good one too with Died in your arms.
